RACE TWO

TEACHERS PET (6) found the pocket trail over the Redcliffe sprint trip 2 starts back and was making a closing dive to get within a neck of the winner. Taking the trail here last time out from gate 1, she again took the closing shot, this time falling a head shy of victory. Needing a slice of luck, she can find the gap to land the closing blow.

MAGHERA MAGGIE (1) started from this gate here last week when showing enough hustle to keep them wide. Trying to fight them off, she could not repel the challenge of ELLE JAY in finishing as the runner-up. Too strong for them at Redcliffe on Thursday, she can dictate here and will be gripping on.

REDDY FIRE (8) tackled a Trot Rods scamper last start and working hard was able to hold on for the bronze. Finishing over the top of them here 3 starts back from gate 7 to score a tidy win, he will not be far away.

LEAPING LEO (7) made his 1st appearance at this track last time out and was forced to cover plenty of the track over the closing stages. Following through, he can be thereabouts with even luck.

SELECTIONS: TEACHERS PET (6), MAGHERA MAGGIE (1), REDDY FIRE (8), LEAPING LEO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-7-8

RACE THREE

THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER (7)
is undefeated since arriving in the Sunshine State after completing a threepeat of victories at Redcliffe last time out. Taking them all the way in the 1st and 3rd wins of the hat-trick, sandwiched in the middle was a chasing win from back in the pack. He can make it 4 on end here.

ELLE JAY (4) is on the back-up from Thursday at Redcliffe where she settled in the 1x1 trail over the 1780m. Easing 3-wide at the 500m, she looked to have the leader CHASIN DREAMZ covered but could not quite finish it off and had to settle for the silver. A five-time winner here, she looms as the challenger.

DEAL BREAKER (8) pressed forward from gate 6 at Redcliffe last start when making his 1st appearance in Qld. Grafting away first-over, he held on for the silver and can feature again here.

PAGEANTRY (3) is 1 from 1 here at Marburg after taking them all the way at his only appearance on this surface. That was 3 starts back and he followed that with a 2nd at Redcliffe to THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER. From the gate he is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER (7), ELLE JAY (4), DEAL BREAKER (8), PAGEANTRY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER (7) to win

RACE FOUR

CLARES FOOL (1)
has been runner-up here on 4 occasions to go alongside his 2 victories from 7 attempts. Repelling the early challengers to assume the lamp lighting duties here last start, he was worried out of it by TUAKANA in holding on for 2nd. There looks less pressure this time and he can see it out.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (6) has also been around this track on 7 occasions but is yet to land a breakthrough. Fitter following his last start where he was 2nd up from a break and had to retreat from outside the front line to secure position, he will be bottled up here and waiting for space to challenge.

MONTANA PRIDE (8) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when striking some handy 3YO’s in an APG heat. Down the line behind subsequent winner LOVE YOUR WORK, he can be joining in.

SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (7) settled in the pocket trail from gate 1 here last week when midfield behind NIGHT NINJA. With the right trip in the running line, she is a podium hope against this line-up.

SELECTIONS: CLARES FOOL (1), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (6), MONTANA PRIDE (8), SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARES FOOL (1) to win

RACE FIVE

A tweak to the popular Marburg to Albion Series with 3 heats of this Country to Coast Series where the Final will be conducted at Redcliffe on June 18. Finishing as the runner-up last start, QUICK STEP (3) just had to make her run at the 600m, peaking in the closing stages as KENDYS BUTTERFLY proved too strong. Despite having just the solitary win to her name, she can look to capitalise in this.

SCHEU CREEK (2) settled in the running line from a 2nd row draw here last time out and was trying to make a closing play when 8m in arrears of the winner SIR BULSKI. Buried in the run the start prior over the AP mile from inside the 2nd line, he can get handy to the action here to challenge.

MISS LILY MAY (8) made an error last start in the mares Triad Final which added a mountain to tall to climb as BETTERTHANDIAMONDS took the prize. Not too far away the start prior, she can feature in this grade.

ONE LAST ROLL (6) has faced the starter twice since resuming from a spell and been runner-up on both occasions. Closing out in nice order over the AP mile last start when 1.5m from the winner FAIRIESDELIGHT, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: QUICK STEP (3), SCHEU CREEK (2), MISS LILY MAY (8), ONE LAST ROLL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: QUICK STEP (3) to win

RACE SIX

NESTERS HILL (2)
is still a Marburg maiden and cannot boast a win at the middle-distance in his career, but he might just be able to alter both of those stats in this 2nd heat. Setting the speed last start here over the 1850m when resuming from a spell, only MONTEREY JACK was able to get past. With early hustle, he looks to get a chance in an open contest.

COBBLER LANE (3) tackled the AP 2138m last start but could not go on with it in the closing stages when down the line behind WESTERN SHOWGIRL. Best of the rest behind the big winner DOLLARBILL in what was a briefly held track record 3 starts back, he can get handy to make a play for the prize.

JEWEL OF PEAK (4) pressed on to the front here last week over this trip and had the speed on all the way, running sub-30 panels at each split, fading in the closing stages as CORINDHAP CREEK arrived. The distance is the query, but she is in the mix.

ALLSTAR SEA (8) is 2 for 2 here at The Burg and might just be the knockout in this. Trying to launch a closing raid last start at Redcliffe, he is yet to show his best this campaign but gets an opportunity to sharpen up here.

SELECTIONS: NESTERS HILL (2), COBBLER LANE (3), JEWEL OF PEAK (4), ALLSTAR SEA (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

SIR BULSKI (7)
shoots for a hat-trick of victories after wins at the 947m at Redcliffe and then the 1850m here. Stepping up to the 2200m for this, his past 2 wins have been from the front and with a race where there should be a genuine tempo, he can look to land a chasing win to complete the threepeat.

DOLALRBILL (4) put on a power-running display here over the 1850m 4 starts back and putting them to the sword claimed a huge 26m victory. Runner-up to SIR BULSKI last start when forced to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff, he can get forward again here and look to throw down some heat.

BIG GEM MONTANA (3) has had a varied prep and comes into this following a midfield finish behind the gun 3YO MANILA PLAYBOY in the G1 Triad last start. Runner-up in a Trot Rods heat 2 starts back, he is in the mix.

NIGHT NINJA (1) settled in the 1x1 trail here last week and with the handy run was able to make the closing shot a winning one in claiming a 3m victory. The distance is his kryptonite but with an economical trip can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SIR BULSKI (7), DOLALRBILL (4), BIG GEM MONTANA (3), NIGHT NINJA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR BULSKI (7) to win
