RACE TWO

MY CHINA DOLL (4) was wide before forced to retreat to secure position over the AP mile 4 starts back and was sound to the line behind GOLIGHTLY. Within 2m of SCOTCH EN ICE when grabbing the silver 3 starts back, she returns to Redcliffe where she has 3 wins and with even luck can look to add another.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (7) will be relying on some factors in her favour, but if they eventuate, she should be in the right position to make a challenge. From the pocket trail last start, she was being chased along to keep in contact when the sprint went on. With even luck she can challenge in this grade.

AQUA CRUISER (8) comes up with another 2nd line gate, his 4th in succession following a victory 4 runs back when leading throughout from gate 1. He should appreciate this class of opponent and with even luck can make a play.

ASHKII (1) started from this gate 2 runs back when locked away and trying to find the space to join in when chasing home behind SUGARKANE. With some early hustle, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: MY CHINA DOLL (4), TRUNKEY DIGGER (7), AQUA CRUISER (8), ASHKII (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MY CHINA DOLL (4) to win

RACE THREE

VANISH HANOVER (8)
steps out on The Triangle for the 1st time and looks well suited to a race of this calibre. A beaten fav 2 starts back at The Creek, she had no luck at all at her next appearance when buried in the run. Strong to the line last start behind ATOMIC BOMBSHELL, she can take this.

PACIFIC COIN (5) faces a tricky task from this gate but off the front can press forward and look to maintain a position forward of his main dangers. Eased to the rear along the poles from a wide gate last start over the AP mile, he took them all the way from gate 2 here 3 runs back and can challenge.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (9) started from the ace here 3 runs back and was soon buried in the run before finding the gaps to finish over the top of them. Only 6m away at Marburg last start, he can be joining in late in this.

MAJOR LUCKY (2) was returning from a freshen last start when forced to roll the sleeves to do it the tough way outside the leader. Finishing midfield, he will take benefit from the outing to feature here.

SELECTIONS: VANISH HANOVER (8), PACIFIC COIN (5), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (9), MAJOR LUCKY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: VANISH HANOVER (8) to win

RACE FIVE

A wide-open event here and it looks a case of which ticket wins the opening leg quaddie raffle. A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (9) has no favours from this alley but he was strong in defeat 2 starts back when facing the breeze and holding on for 3rd. Fading last start, he might just be the one.

WAVEDANCER (6) faces a tricky gate and it has been a while since he landed a win, but if limiting the workload, this is a race that would be within reach. Not much went his way last start ant 2 runs back from the 2nd line he was trying to make a closing rally when 7m in arrears. A run of the green would help.

FEELING THE POWER (8) went around in a one lap dash Trot Rods heat last start and did it tough in the run before fading. Down the line the start prior, with the right cart home he can be in the mix.

MILWAUKEE SUNRISE (1) last scored victory when starting from this gate over this trip and after securing the pocket trail, made the closing shot a winner. He will be probing through again here.

SELECTIONS: A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (9), WAVEDANCER (6), FEELING THE POWER (8), MILWAUKEE SUNRISE (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

He is 14 years old and approaching 12 months since his last victory, but there could be cause for a double celebration for WEASEL (4) in this. The grand campaigner breaks the record of Viking Jack to become the most capped race starter here at Redcliffe, stepping out for his 250th appearance. He tasted Show success at Kingaroy last start in readiness and finds a winnable contest.

PATCHWORK JET (9) was stuck looking for position last start and was forced to retreat to the rear. Making a wide run off the rack, he was closing nicely to grab the bronze behind MANOFLISA. Striking trouble the start prior, he can be joining in late to make a play in this.

AURORA ROSE (5) took the trail last start at Marburg and with the right run in behind the speed found the space to finish over the top. The gate stings her chances, but she can feature in this line-up.

TRACES OF TARA (7) will be further tightened from her latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Trying to take them all the way last start before fading, she can enjoy the cosy trip and chime in here.

SELECTIONS: WEASEL (4), PATCHWORK JET (9), AURORA ROSE (5), TRACES OF TARA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WEASEL (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (2)
was beaten for early hustle here on Wednesday in a Trot Rods heat when holding on for the bronze when 3m from the winner NO DOUBT. Doing his share of work 2 starts back when midfield to HES SWEET, he has placed in 4 of his past 5 and can look to capitalise here.

LIVING GRAND (5) will be better suited back to this after tackling a Trot Rods scamper last start. 2 runs back from the pocket trail he could not muster the closing speed when 4m in arrears of the winner ARTISTIC SAINT over the 2040m trip. He can do some work if required to throw it down.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1) was content to stay out of the early speed over the AP mile last start and from the pocket trail was 12m from the winner MY ULTIMATE BAXTER. With options in this contest, she has claims.

BEE GEES BEST (3) may not have the greatest numbers next to his name, but he can be sharper here. Fading after a tough run last start, he was gunned down the start prior when leading. Limiting the workload will help.

SELECTIONS: SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (2), LIVING GRAND (5), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1), BEE GEES BEST (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

CHILI ROCKS (3)
eased from gate 5 last start in a much tougher race and was not that far from the winner DELIGHTFUL REASON over the AP mile. 11m away the start prior from the 2nd line as MAFFIOSO GIRL arrived, a return to The Triangle from this gate suits and she should be too hot for them.

ESTARDAY (8) settled in the running line from gate 3 last start and was trying to make a closing paly as the progressive OUR BOY BOBBY landed the prize. Working home soundly the start prior as ROYAL PRINCESS was able to score, she will be searching for an early trail through to attempt to challenge.

DREAMOUTS NIECE (1) held the pocket trail from this gate 2 starts back and was the best of the chasers behind the leader and winner BAILEYS WITH LEGS. From the gate she has podium claims.

VERMONT (7) returns from a spell without the benefit of a trial but lands the economical trip which will suit 1st up. A winner to break the maiden tag 4 starts back, she will be probing for gaps here.

SELECTIONS: CHILI ROCKS (3), ESTARDAY (8), DREAMOUTS NIECE (1), VERMONT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CHILI ROCKS (3) to win
