RACE TWO

YEP GOT CHOOKS (1) will take benefit from this 1st appearance in Qld since joining the Trent Dawson barn when forced to cart up the 3-wide train as BIG WHEELS was rolling in front. With the option to tuck in behind the speed, the lane might tell the tale as it did in both heats of this Series last week.

HUNTAWAY (2) tried to take them all the way last start over the 2040m trip and was keen out in front when gabbed over the latter stages to claim the bronze. Grabbed over the 1780m here 3 starts back, he has blazing speed off the arm and the shorter trip might be enough for him to hold on.

ISLAS JOY (3) sat outside the leader last start at Marburg and putting him to sleep down the back kept the power on to set a new track record. Too strong in front the start prior, he can look to apply the heat.

SELECTIONS: YEP GOT CHOOKS (1), HUNTAWAY (2), ISLAS JOY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: YEP GOT CHOOKS (1) to win

RACE FIVE

This shapes a solid contest to open the quaddie and playing wiiiiiiide looks the way to attack this. REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3) tackled a Trot Rods heat last start where he stayed out of the early pace battle before charging up the passing lane to score. Runner-up the start prior, he has a 50% top-three record here at the track and can look for another win.

JOVIAL JULIE (2) is still searching for her first win of the season, but she has been in consistent form in recent outings, never far from the action. Not suited in a 947m scamper last start, she was able to grind out a 2nd the start prior behind ARTISTIC SAINT. From the gate she will be challenging again.

SUBTLE ADVICE (5) has been runner-up at his past 2 in succession, the latest when trying to launch a closing raid as APACHE WHITESOX proved too gritty in the breeze. Gunned down in front the start prior, he can join in again.

COULDNTMISAFALCON (1) will strip fitter from her latest outing when resuming from a spell. Starting from the 2nd line she was always facing a task as JASPER controlled the race from the breeze. The gate helps her chances here.

SELECTIONS: REGAL NIGHTSHADE (3), JOVIAL JULIE (2), SUBTLE ADVICE (5), COULDNTMISAFALCON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-5

RACE SIX

TEE JAY CEE (4)
was returning from a let-up last start when settling rearward from a 2nd line gate. Making a charging raid, he was attacking the line with gusto to grab the silver when 1m in arrears of victory. Fitter for the outing, he has faced some tough gates and can look to cash-in here.

QUICK STEP (5) tried to take them all h way over the AP mile 2 runs back and led deep into the stretch, only to be collared in the closing strides. 3rd to ITS MR CLOONEY at Marburg 3 runs back, she was banished to the trials last start. Earning the return, she can look to capitalise in this.

FIRE ME UP (2) has faced 2nd line barriers at her past 2 starts which are not ideal to her pattern. Still able to close out nicely for the bronze last start, a return to the front is a plus, just the 2040m throws up a question mark.

CRIME BOSS (8) was taken to Marburg last start and from the 2nd line did not get things to go his way when chasing the tempo up front. Charging home here 2 runs back when falling a whisker short, he can be in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: TEE JAY CEE (4), QUICK STEP (5), FIRE ME UP (2), CRIME BOSS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TEE JAY CEE (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

BRONSKI MACARENA (2)
started from the 2nd line last start and when sent around them over the concluding stages was able to move up, take the lead and pull clear to a 4m victory. She found them out of reach the start prior over the AP mile and from the good alley here can look for a repeat win.

DEVOUGED (6) might just find this a shade or two easier than recent outings. Trying to launch a closing raid here 2 starts back as LA PISTOLA took the prize, his run 3 back was solid when 3rd to SIGNOR JUJON from the 2nd line. The gate stings but with even luck he can make a play.

MANOFLISA (7) was sent forward to race first over last start and after the tough trip was vulnerable late when finishing 2m in arrears as the beaten fav. With the economical trip, he will be probing.

TODAYS HERO (1) was a beaten fav here 2 starts back from this gate over the sprint trip when trying to take them all the way. Buried from inside the 2nd line last start, he will be in the mix from the gate.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI MACARENA (2), DEVOUGED (6), MANOFLISA (7), TODAYS HERO (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

CALCULATED RISK (2)
tackled a Trot Rods heat 3 starts back and looking for the passing lane was able to hold 3rd behind ELLE JAY. Last start from the 2nd line, she secured the perfect run-in transit to then finish over the top of them in claiming victory. Back to the front line, she looks hard to stop.

ALLY PINK (1) eased from gate 4 to find position last time out before making a strong challenge from a long way back. Sweeping up, she cruised on by to claim a smart 6m victory. From the gate she lands the options and with the trip will be throwing down the challenge.

ABBEY DIADEMA (3) was sent to the post at big odds last start and after securing the perfect run-in transit defied the market to arrive for a narrow victory. With a similar trip, this would be no harder.

FAIREACHDAINN (8) took the trail from gate 1 last start over the sprint trip when best of the chasers behind IMA BIRUBI BOY. Luckless the start prior when searching for position, she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: CALCULATED RISK (2), ALLY PINK (1), ABBEY DIADEMA (3), FAIREACHDAINN (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CALCULATED RISK (2) to win

RACE NINE

PAGEANTRY (2) made the most of conditions last start at Marburg when sent straight to the front and from there was never headed. Hitting the line strongly here 3 starts back to grab 3rd behind SHEZ GOT BLING, his next outing was a forget effort after firing up in front. Taking control, he will get his chance.

THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER (8) made a perfect start to coincide with his Qld arrival, leading them all the way here last start. His form had been sound around Bathurst leading up to his departure for the Sunshine State and with some confidence from the win can be in the mix again here.

WHATA REACTOR (7) has 2 wins in her past 4 starts here on The Triangle. Releasing after finding the lead in the early stages here 2 starts back, she then finished best to take the prize. She will be probing for openings.

GLENCOE REIGN (4) pressed forward to take control here last start and from the front was trying to see it out when gunned down to be 4m in arrears of the winner. He can be in the mix once again.

SELECTIONS: PAGEANTRY (2), THEMIDNIGHTRAMBLER (8), WHATA REACTOR (7), GLENCOE REIGN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: PAGEANTRY (2) to win

RACE TEN

CHARM OFFENSIVE (1) started from inside the 2nd line when making her debut and after being buried in the run was sound to the line behind BRAEBEACH. Sent forward last start, she was asked to work in the run and was game in fighting for the silver. With the good alley, she gets her chance.

SLIDE TO UNLOCK (3) will take some further experience from her latest outing when stepping out for the 2nd time in her career. Runner-up to the handy OUR BOY BOBBY on debut, she started in red figures last start from the 2nd line when a little wayward. Look for some improvement here.

REBLINE (2) is a 2YO filly on debut tackling the older types in this mixed bag maiden. Out of the mare Rebby, she ranks as a half to some smart winners. Down the line in a qualifying trial, she has claims here.

DOOLITTLE DEXTER (5) will strip fitter from his latest offering when resuming from a break. Finding the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line, he chased for the bronze behind PRINCESS CHILLA and can be thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: CHARM OFFENSIVE (1), SLIDE TO UNLOCK (3), REBLINE (2), DOOLITTLE DEXTER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CHARM OFFENSIVE (1) to win
