RACE TWO

IFYOUBELIEVE (5) has the outside front gate to overcome, but this looks to be an easier assignment than what he has been taking on recently. Forced to grind it out in the breeze last start, he dug in to fight when under 1.5m from the winner. His record here at the ‘Burg is strong and he can take this.

MARTHAS VINEYARD (8) chased home behind HEADWIN last start after starting from the 2nd line and made good late ground in some sharp closing panels. Breaking her maiden tag, the start prior when attacking the line in nice style, she will be working home hard in the stretch.

GEORGEZILLA (3) makes his debut here for Bill Crosby and the 3YO ranks as a half-brother to the smart performer CONSTANTLYSIDEWAYS. His preparatory trial suggests he will be cashing-in soon.

IM SANDY BAY (9) has been around the money as continues to work closer to a career 1st victory. Closing out strongly last start to get within a half-neck of the winner, she won’t be too far away.

SELECTIONS: IFYOUBELIEVE (5), MARTHAS VINEYARD (8), GEORGEZILLA (3), IM SANDY BAY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: IFYOUBELIEVE (5) to win

RACE THREE

REDDY FIRE (4) made the most of the lamp lighting duties last start when leading all the way over the 2200m trip. Gunned down in the closing stages the start prior over the same trip, he should appreciate the return to the 1850m and while he might need to roll the sleeves, he loves the ‘Burg.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3) settled a long way back from gate 10 at Redcliffe last start over the sprint trip before hitting the line strongly in the closing stages to be within 1.5m of the winner MAYWYN NO REGRETS. With enough early toe to fire the 1st shot, he can be in the right position to take this.

DOMESTIC ART (7) found the front over this trip last start but the price for leading was too great as he was given no peace. He will need to work home this time, but can settle close enough to strike.

ROBINMEGOOD (2) will resume from a spell here and has opened the pipes in a Redcliffe trial where he was sound to the line. He will appreciate his best gate for some time and can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: REDDY FIRE (4), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3), DOMESTIC ART (7), ROBINMEGOOD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: REDDY FIRE (4) to win

RACE FOUR

ALE ALE KAI (5)
bounced back to winning form in fine style over the Redcliffe 1780m last start when powering home in some smart sectionals to claim the prize. Luckless at her previous 2 when things just didn’t go to plan at all, she has the tough gate, but she can overcome the impediment.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (9) has his 1st race at Marburg and should be tightened following 2 runs back from a spell. Locked away on the poles at Redcliffe last start, he never really got a shot at them when just beyond mid-field. At his best he could throw down a challenge here.

UNDERTHEKILT (1) found the pocket trail from gate 3 over the 2200m here last start and then when he did see open space, GUTS had kicked to score. From the ace gate over the sprint, he can go close.

HAVANA MOON (6) worked home strongly from a wide gate at Redcliffe 2 starts back to score a smart win. Tough in the breeze when beaten a head behind STEVIE DEE last time, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: ALE ALE KAI (5), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (9), UNDERTHEKILT (1), HAVANA MOON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALE ALE KAI (5) to win

RACE FIVE

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (9) will need to overcome the extreme gate, but he is in great form at present. Finding the line strongly in breaking 57 for his last 800m at Redcliffe when beaten a pimple, his previous 2 were good for no result in qualifiers. With the right amount of luck, he can take this.

JAX NAVARO (3) was snagged back from gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start and once he was back in the pack was always facing an ask. Landing wide gates at his past 3 in succession, he can capitalise on the improved gate here and look to fire the 1st shot.

STEVIE DEE (7) made the most of the ace here on Sunday and taking control was able to hand on for the narrowest of wins in a blanket finish. She will be looking for clean air in the closing stages.

MONTANA CHIEF (8) has the perfect 2 from 2 record here at Marburg and can be thereabouts again in this. Too far back against the tempo last start and luckless 2 back, he can be sharper this time.

SELECTIONS: FEELINGFORARAINBOW (9), JAX NAVARO (3), STEVIE DEE (7), MONTANA CHIEF (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-7-8-9

RACE SIX

GEST AS SMART (7) takes his first look at Marburg and his recent form suggests that he can be a big player in this line-up. Using the passing lane to get within 4m of SEEUINNASHVILLE 2 starts back, he was luckless last start when forced to snag back from a wide gate to find position. Looms big danger.

TIGES APPRENTICE (3) has hit the board once in 5 Qld appearances but can make it twice as he finds the right conditions here. 3 starts back he led them up and was only collared in the closing stages up the passing lane. Banished to the trials last start, he earns the return with the distance the query.

WHERES TASCOTT (1) eased back from gate 7 over the AP mile 2 starts back and working home strongly in a steady last half was able to arrive for the prize. Too far back last start, the gate helps.

DALLAS COWGIRL (4) rolled to the breeze from this same gate and trip last time out and was in for the fight when within 2m of the winner to claim the silver. Limiting the burn, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: TIGES APPRENTICE (3), GEST AS SMART (7), WHERES TASCOTT (1), DALLAS COWGIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GEST AS SMART (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

VOODOO FELLA (7) is on the short back-up from Wed night at Redcliffe where he had drawn gate 7 and looked set to be buried in the run. In 3 prior runs since returning from a spell, he has struggled to land a marble and things haven’t really gone his way. This shapes as the right type of race for him.

BARBOO (2) found the pegs before releasing over this trip last start. It was a solid tempo for his grade and he faded in the closing stages. His last win came here at Marburg back in August and with the good alley he can capitalise and be going close to taking the prize.

CHASIN DREAMZ (8) resumes from a spell after fading out last tine out behind JILLIBY JACKPOT. A Redcliffe winner 3 starts back when able to lead throughout, she can be thereabouts against these.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (1) made the most of the peg-line to hold on for the bronze behind the smart BILLY LINCOLN at AP 3 starts back. With the cosy trip she can be probing a minor here.

SELECTIONS: VOODOO FELLA (7), BARBOO (2), CHASIN DREAMZ (8), DANCING IN MANOLOS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: VOODOO FELLA (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

HEADWIN (2) will strip fitter from his return to the track last start when 1st up from a spell. Starting from gate 5 over the 1850m, he was wide off the track and just kept driving to arrive for a smart win. A three-time winner here and possessing good speed off the arm, he looks set to wheel and deal.

JEWEL OF PEAK (9) started from gate 5 at Redcliffe last time out and after having an early look was eased back to find position. Working home in nice style in the closing stages wide off the track, she was able to nab the silver behind KAY NORA SHANNON. The gate hurts, but she can still challenge.

OUR LITTLE GIRL (8) was sent around to the breeze from gate 9 over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start and once parked was able to grind the winner down to score. Similar tactics will see her go close.

BARA HALLEY (1) will be 3rd up from a spell and since transferring to the Stacey Weidemann barn. Things haven’t really gone to plan for her, but with the cosy trip she can fill the exotics in this.

SELECTIONS: HEADWIN (2), JEWEL OF PEAK (9), OUR LITTLE GIRL (8), BARA HALLEY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HEADWIN (2) to win

RACE NINE

ICHIBA NEWY (1) should appreciate this class of opposition after taking on a mares qualifier at her 1st Qld outing. Striking a smart one in the shape of ISLAND BANNER in that race where she also had to contend with the 2nd line gate. She will need to hustle early, but this looks the right type of race.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (9) landed the pocket trail last start and chased hard to hold on for the bronze behind GOALKICKER at Redcliffe last start. His numbers don’t show much in recent starts, but he has had some tough gates and not much go his way. With a slice of luck, he can challenge here.

GUTS (4) made the most of gate 1 here last start and taking control was able to see it out over the 2200m trip. That followed a tough trip from gate 6 at Redcliffe and despite a sticky gate, he can feature.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3) will find this easier than his last outing when fading late after some early work behind SAINT KILDA BEACH. A tough 2nd at AP 3 starts back, he can be thereabouts in this.

SELECTIONS: ICHIBA NEWY (1), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (9), GUTS (4), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ICHIBA NEWY (1) to win
