RACE TWO

IM MAJOR HARRY (3) has faced he starter twice since arriving in Qld and despite the numbers not looking great on paper, they do not wholly reflect the effort. Strong in the breeze when 1st up from gate 6 and 7m in arrears, he was beaten by gate 11 last start. The improved gate is a huge plus here.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8) was shooting for a hat-trick of wins last start when taking on a qualifier over the 2138m. Doing his share of work in the run, he chased gamely to claim the silver behind the smart MR KALYPSO. With a 50% top-3 record on the triangle including 9 wins, he can challenge.

CC JONES (1) had enough in the tank to arrive for the prize in a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back after securing the 1x1 trail. Only 3m away last start and with the peg-line benefits, he is in the mix.

FEEL THE REIGN (10) has an impressive Redcliffe record with a top-3 in 27 of 38 appearances. A passing lane 3rd to the subsequent winner KID MONTANA 2 starts back, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: IM MAJOR HARRY (3), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8), CC JONES (1), FEEL THE REIGN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: IM MAJOR HARRY (3) to win

RACE THREE

IMA BIRUBI BOY (3) is a horse that needs conditions to suit and they include being able to limit the burn when in front. From this alley he can look to spear out and with limited pressure in the run can see this out. Not suited with 3 of his past 5 over the 2138m, this looks his chance to capitalise.

SIR MACADOR (1) was strong in the breeze 2 starts back in a similar type race when fighting hard to the line when 3m from the winner CC JONES. Last start he looked to have found the right conditions for his 1st Qld win yet faded out after doing some work. From the gate he will get every chance here.

RANFURLY RULZ (7) found the pocket trail last start over the 2138m in a similar 2nd division qualifier and using the passing lane went within a half-head of the winner. Another soft run is on offer.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (8) is on the back-up from Thursday where he looked a solid chance. A winner 3 starts back over the AP 2138m when controlling in front, he can be working into this nicely.

SELECTIONS: IMA BIRUBI BOY (3), SIR MACADOR (1), RANFURLY RULZ (7), GRIZZLY MONTANA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA BIRUBI BOY (3) to win

RACE FOUR

SALOON PASSAGE (3)
will take great benefit from his return to the track last start when 1st up from a spell. Without a trial to prepare, he should tighten from the run where he was locked away against the pegs. Tough in the breeze the start prior over the 2138m, this is just his 2nd look at Redcliffe.

DREAM TO SHARE (6) will be having his 1st look at the track but comes into this in top form with wins at 3 of his past 5 starts. Finding the front last start over the AP mile, he controlled it in the middle stages for a sprint home, holding them off to score. Despite the tough gate, he can challenge.

TULHURST ACE (5) will also strip fitter likes his stablemate SALOON PASSAGE after also returning last start without a trial. Sound to the line behind ELENIARK, he can be thereabouts here.

OUR HI JINX (1) has some ordinary numbers next to his name but if able to hustle to protect the pocket trail, he will be in the perfect position to chime in. Only 8m away last start, he can place.

SELECTIONS: SALOON PASSAGE (3), DREAM TO SHARE (6), TULHURST ACE (5), OUR HI JINX (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SALOON PASSAGE (3) to win

RACE FIVE

BETTOR BEACAUSE (10) will strip fitter following her return to the track to start her 4YO term when charging home from back in the pack to grab the bronze behind MERRYWOOD PEARL in a mares contest. This is no harder than that assignment and despite the gate can power home to the prize.

RED LUCK (2) was luckless last start at Marburg when having a look from a wide gate, was unable to find position and was forced to retreat to the rear. Grabbed in the latter stages after leading them up here 2 starts back, he can look for the lamp lighting duties once again and will attempt to hold on.

CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (3) took on a mares qualifier last start and was strong in the closing stages to get within 4m of the winner MADAME LEZA. Luckless the start prior, she can be in the mix here.

LAZY BLAZE (1) worked home in nice order to grab the silver 2 starts back and last time out was wide when looking for position. With the peg-line benefits, he can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR BEACAUSE (10), RED LUCK (2), CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (3), LAZY BLAZE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTOR BEACAUSE (10) to win

RACE SIX

This is a tricky FFA where a genuine case could be made for any of the 7 with the right conditions. Despite ITALIAN DELIGHT (7) having his 1st run at Redcliffe, he can secure the right type of trip as the lone 2nd line runner and with a genuine tempo can be descending late. Closing strongly last start, when 2m in arrears, this is within his grasp.

CLARKEY (1) will strip fitter following his return to the track following a spell last time. Angled to the pegs looking for cheap runs from gate 10 at his 1st up run, he found the line in nice order to be 8m from the winner SAMS THE MASTER. Effective when saved for o shot, he will be probing an opening.

SAMS THE MASTER (4) found the right conditions last start and capitalised by controlling the race in the chair and holding them off for a career PB mile. Stepping up again here, the confidence will help.

THE BUS (2) secured the pocket trail last start and went within a head of the prize behind ELENIARK. With the right trip again, he won’t be far away, while last start winner LEOS BEST (5) with 6 from 8 on the track and ELENIARK (6) who is 3 from 4 at Redcliffe will also be right in the fight despite tough draws.

SELECTIONS: ITALIAN DELIGHT (7), CLARKEY (1), SAMS THE MASTER (4), THE BUS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ITALIAN DELIGHT (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

CLASSIE AMERICAN (7) eased back from gate 6 over the mile last start and when making a late charge, was able to thread a passage once the gap opened to really fin the line with venom when 2nd behind DREAM TO SHARE. Following a fast beginner, he will be in the snipers seat, waiting to strike.

CHAPTER ONE (1) speared out from gate 6 over the 2138m in a mid-week conditioned event 2 starts back and once in control was able to fight them all off to score a 2m victory. Snagged back from the same gate over the mile last week, he was too far back to challenge. He will take some catching.

KETUT (3) has placed at his past 2 starts since returning from a break. Charging home from the rear to get within a head 1st up, he chased gamely from the pocket trail last time. Look for the swoop.

FORTYEIGHTHENSON (10) pressed forward from gate 6 over the middle-distance last start and grinding it out, claimed a head victory. The gate hurts but he can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE AMERICAN (7), CHAPTER ONE (1), KETUT (3), FORTYEIGHTHENSON (10)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSIE AMERICAN (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

After becoming just the 2nd horse in history to break the 1.51 barrier at Albion Park last week, ZAHVEN BANNER (8) should have little trouble in negotiating the 2nd line gate here. Returning from a year off the scene in top order, he was brutal last week in front. His only danger here is the triangle.

LIVE ATOM (2) took control from gate 1 over the AP mile 2 starts back and keeping the tempo on, ripped home a smart closing 800m to land the win. Forced to cut the breeze last start over the 2138m, he didn’t shirk the task from gate 5 when within 5m of the winner. He will be gripping on.

ALWAYS IN COMMAND (6) returned from a break here 10 days ago and taking control from gate 4 made it a hat-trick of victories in running a sharp 1780m.The gate hurts again, but he has claims.

ROYAL LINCOLN (5) took out an Aspirational pace 4 starts back when proving too strong in the breeze to claim an easy victory. Placed in all 3 starts since that win, he won’t be far away again.

SELECTIONS: ZAHVEN BANNER (8), LIVE ATOM (2), ALWAYS IN COMMAND (6), ROYAL LINCOLN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 8 / 2-5-6

RACE NINE

OUR OVERANOVA (7) has been in the top-two at his past 7 in succession, the latest when grabbed in the closing stages by GEE UP NEDDY. A strong winner from the mobile 2 starts back, he heads to the triangle with an imposing 5 wins from 9 outings. The small field is in his favour to make it 6 from 10.

CLOVER MAC (5) started off the front line at his Qld debut when getting within a head of victory behind SOUTHERN ALPS. Pushed back to the 10m tape last start over the 2138m, he worked to the front and fought them all off to score. Staying at 10m for his 1st look at Redcliffe, he can challenge.

MIRACLE RISING (4) made a mess of the start last week and was never in the hunt thereafter. Charging home to grab the bronze the start prior, he can handle the track and has solid claims.

FOURSHARESMOREBEERS (1) should appreciate the 10m jump on his rivals here after having no luck last start when probing for a gap that didn’t open. With the advantage he can capitalise.

SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (7), CLOVER MAC (5), MIRACLE RISING (4), FOURSHARESMOREBEERS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR OVERANOVA (7) to win
