RACE TWO

LAVROS SEGIL (6) has been a work in progress after returning from a long break and had been building in nice style. After successive placings, including a nice effort when making an error in the run, he then cashed-in with a stylish win from 20m last start. With added confidence, he can repeat.

REGAL ASSASSIN (5) was away safely from a 10m tape last start and taking control was never in danger over the 2280m trip, cruising home to a big 15m victory. That was his best performance since arriving in Qld and with a similar getaway, will be in the action. The distance is the bug query.

MAJESTIC WHIZ (1) should appreciate the one-hole off the front tape and can get the ideal run in transit here. 3rd to PRINCESS KATERINA last start, he has been around the mark and can be again.

PRINCESS KATERINA (7) has a great record here at Redcliffe with 3 wins and 2 minors in 6 outings. Pressing to the breeze and proving too strong last start, this is a similar task and she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LAVROS SEGIL (6), REGAL ASSASSIN (5), MAJESTIC WHIZ (1), PRINCESS KATERINA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LAVROS SEGIL (6) to win

RACE THREE

This shapes as a tricky little contest with quite a few of these chasing some form. Leaning to BEEF CITY STARZZZ (8) despite the 2nd line gate. He wasn’t too far away behind GOOD BOY OLIVER 3 starts back and last time he fired out from gate 4 only to fade in the latter stages. He can swoop late here.

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (4) has placed in all 4 runs back this campaign, the latest here when leading them up here on Thursday. After a steady opening 800m of the last mile, the tempo lifted but he couldn’t hold them out, beaten 7m behind OUR ULTIMATE VICKI. He will be gripping on again.

NIKALONG HENRY (6) has the tricky gate to negotiate, yet this is no harder than what he has been facing. Buried on the pegs last start from inside the 2nd line, he chased gamely for 3rd and has claims.

IM SANDY BAY (10) is knocking on the door and getting closer to a maiden breaking victory. Working home in good order from the rear at Marburg last time out, she will again be charging here.

SELECTIONS: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (8), MAKINMEFEELGOOD (4), NIKALONG HENRY (6), IM SANDY BAY (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

LANSBURY (1)
was lost along the inside and blocked in transit over the AP 2138m 3 starts back when running into dead-ends. Too strong in the breeze at Marburg 5 days later in scoring a smart win, she was then game in 2nd under mobile conditions behind BLACK VALLEY. She looks to get every hope.

DAVEYS GIFT (4) worked forward from the 2nd line to find the front from the 2040m mobile last time out. Fighting hard in the stretch, he was worn down in the closing stages to hold on for 3rd. Placed in 3 of his past 4, including a nice effort behind SPIRIT WALKER, he will be right in the fight in this.

FOURSHARESMOREBEERS (8) led them up last start in open company and after a torrid trip trying to keep them wide, faded late. Luckless the start prior, he will appreciate the return to this grade.

IVANOV (6) released the lamp lighting duties last start over the longer 2613m trip when finishing mid-field. Like a coiled spring from the tapes, he can get forward here and the shorter trip suits.

SELECTIONS: LANSBURY (1), DAVEYS GIFT (4), FOURSHARESMOREBEERS (8), IVANOV (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LANSBURY (1) to win

RACE FIVE

MUCH BETTOR (3) has faced the starter twice this campaign as a 4YO and should find this a slightly easier assignment than his 2 runs back. He didn’t get it right early when chasing SECRETAGENT TYCOON 1st up and then struck trouble last start. The small field suits and he can arrive for the prize.

SAINT KILDA BEACH (6) is yet to miss the board in 5 outings this term, with 2 of those being victories. Fighting them off from the front last start, her Redcliffe record can see her go close here.

ALE ALE KAI (5) is in nice touch and backs-up from Marburg on Friday she was wide off the track from outside the front line. Finishing strongly from the 2nd line to take a smart win here 2 starts back, she can be issuing a closing challenge.

MACHIN OUT (1) resumes from a spell and comes up with the perfect gate to utilise his early speed. Grabbed in the latter stages 4 starts back when leading them up, he will be gripping on in this.

SELECTIONS: MUCH BETTOR (3), SAINT KILDA BEACH (6), ALE ALE KAI (5), MACHIN OUT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MUCH BETTOR (3) to win

RACE SIX

MISS MONEYBAGS (2) was plain 1st up when despite starting from gate 7 over the AP mile she was a red figure fav. Finishing down the line she then took on the 1780m here 2nd up where she struck trouble in the run, ending her chances. With the improved gate, she gets every chance to atone.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (9) has shown he likes the triangle with a pair of wins and a minor in 3 attempts. Finding the pocket trail last start he packed too many guns down the stretch to claim a 1.5m victory. He didn’t have much luck the start prior when locked away and despite the gate he is right in this.

BOULDER CITY (7) was locked away 3 back against the poles from this same gate last start and he did well to grab the silver. A similar scenario looks to unfold here, but if sighting space sooner, he can challenge.

HIGH ON MONTANA (4) worked forward form this gate over the 2040m last start to take up the running. Fading out late, he should appreciate the return to the sprint trip and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MISS MONEYBAGS (2), JILLIBY JACKPOT (9), BOULDER CITY (7), HIGH ON MONTANA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MONEYBAGS (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

This shapes as a great contest with the barrier draw opening the race. MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (4) lands the top slot despite a sticky gate here, his form has been solid without winning and he hasn’t had much luck along the way. Locked on the poles last start he dived up the passing lane to grab the silver and with a rub of the green, he is ready to win.

THREE MUGS IN (1) lands all the favours from the gate and has the peg-line benefits to utilise with his good speed out of the machine. His run was sound when unsuited from gate 6 last time and the start prior he went within a head of CLARRY. HE looks to get every chance here.

STAR OF MONTANA (3) has been a model of consistency with a top-3 in 9 of his past 11 starts, the latest when wide out and hitting the line strongly for 2nd. He can settle handy enough to feature.

BRADS LUCK (7) returns from a freshen and lands the perfect alley for a cosy trip 1st up. Tough in the breeze last start when holding 3rd and only 3m from INVINCIBLE LOXTON, he will probe the lane.

SELECTIONS: MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (4), THREE MUGS IN (1), STAR OF MONTANA (3), BRADS LUCK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

LEXUS ON THE BEACH (3) has been deserted by the barrier gods in recent starts, landing gates that don’ suit his racing style. Locked away from inside the 2nd line last start, he hit the line nicely behind DREAM TO SHARE. A smart winner from outside the front 4 starts back, he can grind it out in this.

PATERNITY SUIT (1) is a big winner at the marble drop, with his 3 runs back this time in coming from gates 6 twice and gate 10 over the sprint trip last time. He was a long way back in the pack last start when hitting the line in nice order. With speed off the arm, he can take control here and dictate.

PSYCHEDELIC (7) was returning from a spell here last start when snagged back from a wide gate and then was too far back to challenge. Securing the ideal trip here, he can snipe in the stretch.

MACHEASY (5) has the wide gate to negotiate yet he is racing well this campaign despite facing some tough barriers. Forced to chase from the 2nd line his past 2 starts, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: LEXUS ON THE BEACH (3), PATERNITY SUIT (1), PSYCHEDELIC (7), MACHEASY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-7

RACE NINE

CHERRYS THE BEST (1) didn’t have any early speed from gate 2 last time out and soon found herself 1x2 in the run. Winding up late in the stretch, she couldn’t reel in GODDESS JUJON who was too strong in the breeze. In the money at all 4 starts this prep, she will be hustling hard to take this.

BACK PAGE NEWS (7) will be glued to the helmet of the 1 and if she looks to go all the way, he will be coiled and ready to take his shot. Sent for a break after his latest run when striking trouble that ended his day, he grabbed the bronze here 3 starts back from the pegs. He will be probing for gaps.

GODDESS JUJON (8) was too tough from the breeze here last start and forged to the front and fought them all off. 2 from 2 here on the triangle, with the right run in transit she can feature.

LEFT A TERROR (4) will strip fitter following his return to the track to start his 4YO term in a non-TAB here. It was a solid hit out when racing tough and going under a half-neck. He is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: CHERRYS THE BEST (1), BACK PAGE NEWS (7), GODDESS JUJON (8), LEFT A TERROR (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CHERRYS THE BEST (1) to win
