RACE TWO

I ASKED NICELY (4) put it all together here last time out when working forward from gate 5 to do it the hard way outside the leader over the mobile 2138m trip. In for the fight, he had bullets to fire when cruising home to a 7m victory. Taking confidence from the win, the query is always there with his manners, but he is worth the risk.

DOWN UNDER RORS (5) took on the mobile conditions last start when settling in the running line before finishing best of the chasers behind I ASKED NICELY. Doing it the tough way here 3 starts back when facing the breeze, he was in for the fight when 4m from the winner in claiming the bronze. He can look to make the challenge.

TORFINO MIST (11) should find this a little easier than her recent starts and despite the 20m impost this is well within reach. Doing some work early last start when not that far from AVEROSS DON, she closed nicely 2 starts back and is right in the fight.

KAPAI (3) showed early speed from the mobile last start and from the front was gripping on to hold 3rd as I ASKED NICELY arrived. From the front tape, he can get close to the action to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: I ASKED NICELY (4), DOWN UNDER RORS (5), TORFINO MIST (11), KAPAI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: I ASKED NICELY (4) to win

RACE THREE

CYCLONE JEREMY (10)
was sent to the post a short-priced fav at his race debut off the back of some smart trial performances. Eased from gate 6 to find position, he struck trouble that ended his chances. Again, forced to overcome a tough gate, he can atone for his 1st up disappointment.

MONTANA MYSTIQUE (3) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest when 6m in arrears of the winner HANOVER LECTER. Setting the tempo over this trip 2 starts back, she was gripping on to the lead only to be nabbed when an eyelash from the winner. From the gate she can challenge.

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9) returned from a spell at Redcliffe last time out when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line. In for the fight he held on for the silver behind KISSESFORYAMISSES. With the added fitness he can chime in.

WOODLANDS ROSE (1) has placed in 3 of her 4 career starts, the latest when closing in good order from gate 6 to be 4m from the winner TEE JAY CEE. The gate is a big plus, and she is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: CYCLONE JEREMY (10), MONTANA MYSTIQUE (3), MY ULTIMATE HESTON (9), WOODLANDS ROSE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CYCLONE JEREMY (10) to win

RACE FOUR

It may only be a front-line small field but there is plenty of quality lining up. Taking good benefit from his 1st Qld outing, COLBY (4) can look to find a handy position in the run here. Snagged back last start over the mile, he was at the rear before probing for a run and really attacking the line in the closing stages behind the smart L L COOL J. He can arrive here.

VIRGIL (3) took the trail from gate 1 last start over the 2138m and with the leader setting the tempo was always facing a task as VOUCHERS was dealing in front and with a sub 55 closing 800m made it tough for those behind. Only 2m from the airborne KIWIS ARE FLYING the start prior, this looks within his reach.

JIGGLE AND JIVE (6) returns from a spell and blew out the cobwebs with a smart trial outing to prepare for her return. Wide off the track at her last appearance in the South East Oaks, she is a classy filly that will take great benefit from her outing.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (1) has been in good touch with wins at 3 of her past 4 starts. Sent to the front from gate 3 last start, she was never in danger in leading throughout. The gate gives her the options here.

SELECTIONS: COLBY (4), VIRGIL (3), JIGGLE AND JIVE (6), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: COLBY (4) to win

RACE FIVE

GLITTER STRIP (1)
will take good benefit from his last start when returning from a freshen. Mid-field in the Triad Final back in July, his next outing came in September when down the line behind ITZ MAJOR RICH. Settling in the 1x1 trail last time out, he can look to capitalise on the gate in this.

OCEANSIDE (8) will strip fitter from his latest offering when 1st up from a break and forced to race tough from gate 4 at Redcliffe. Sent into that event without a preparatory trial, he will get the cosy trip here and can look to join in when the gaps arrive.

ONLYSBEST (2) resumes from a break after sent for a spell following a tough run when down the line behind BIG WHEELS in the Breeders Classic. A winner at his 1st 2 starts, he has opened the pipes in good order in a recent trial and can feature fresh.

FLAME LADY (4) will take great benefit from her 1st up run in Qld when looking to take them all the way. Starting fav, she was grabbed late by MATAU JESS and with the added fitness can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GLITTER STRIP (1), OCEANSIDE (8), ONLYSBEST (2), FLAME LADY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GLITTER STRIP (1) to win

RACE SIX

MAN OF ACTION (9)
was obliged to work hard in the run here last time out when sent to the breeze. With the leader setting a strong tempo in front, he stuck to his guns in fighting hard when 5m from the leader and winner NOTORIOUS. Too far back the start prior as the leader controlled, he can trail through to swoop late.

NIMAH FRANCO (3) was back in the pack from the 2nd line and could not make any ground on them when trying to chase. Searching for a run the start prior after being buried away in transit, the return to the front line is a bonus and she can look to throw down a challenge here.

IL MAXIMUS (2) settled in the running line from the 2nd line last start when making good metres to be 2m in arrears from the winner. That followed 3 successive victories and from the gate he has claims.

SUN SAFE (5) has been in the money at her past 6 in succession and will be further tightened from her latest outing. Taking them all the way from gate 2 over the 2138m last start, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MAN OF ACTION (9), NIMAH FRANCO (3), IL MAXIMUS (2), SUN SAFE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MAN OF ACTION (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

Tempo looks strong here and relying on the one showing the hustle to set the speed LARRY LINCOLN (8) looks set to get the perfect trip in the stalking spot. Shooting for the hat-trick after successive wins over the mile, a passing lane winner here 2 runs back, he can land the threepeat here.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (4) backs up from Marburg on Sunday where he was hampered by a tricky gate and was forced to weave a passage to the line. His run was full of merit here 2 starts back when sent forward from gate 7 and doing all the work in front in setting a sub 53 mile claimed by the smart MAJOR FERNCO. In good touch, he looms large.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (5) was sent to the breeze last start and was in for the fight over the 2138m trip when only beaten a half-head. The benefit of a neat steer to score up the passing lane 2 starts back, he can feature again.

ROCKNROLL SWINGER (2) struck trouble that ended his chances before they really started here last time out. Only 5m away the start prior when 1st up in Qld, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LARRY LINCOLN (8), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (4), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (5), ROCKNROLL SWINGER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LARRY LINCOLN (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

SUNNY RICE (2) tackled the mile here last start when landing gate 6 and forced to retreat in the early stages. Settling a long way back, she was left a little flat when the speed went on, yet she continued to chase hard. Back to the 2138m looks ideal and rolling in front can look to dictate.

HELLO ITS ME (3) was forced to cover plenty of track here last start and was in for the fight when holding on for the bronze. Runner-up the start prior from the 2nd line when chasing hard in the closing stages behind ROCKS OR DIAMONDS, she can settle close to the action to challenge.

FROST EN ICE (10) is working into her campaign strongly after a 15-month stint on the sidelines. Closing well here 2 starts back, she franked that with a big 24m victory last start at Redcliffe. With this her 1st outing over the 2138m remains a query.

FIRE ME UP (1) is another with a question mark over the trip but will secure a cosy trip from the ace. A passing lane winner 2 starts back from this gate over the mile, she can be ready to take her shot.

SELECTIONS: SUNNY RICE (2), HELLO ITS ME (3), FROST EN ICE (10), FIRE ME UP (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-10

RACE NINE

ITZ MY GENERATION (5) had a successful weekend with victory at Redcliffe on Friday when arriving in the closing stages followed with a Marburg victory on Sunday. Wide for a long way over the 2200m trip at Marburg, he was able to break the track record and from this gate the threepeat is within reach.

OYSTER STRIDE (8) struck some trouble in the early stages and when getting back into stride was soon buried 4 back against the poles. Looking to have plenty to offer as they turned off the back, he was in gridlock yet only beaten 9m. With the soft run on offer he can look to take the snipers shot.

COURAGEOUS SAINT (7) was big in defeat 2 starts back after making an early error before slicing home between runners, really attacking the line with venom. Banished to the ODM position, he was closing hard on Saturday night and despite the wide gate, he can look to issue a challenge.

WEEDONS EXPRESS (1) was on the fence last start as the power running THE FORTUNATE SON had them all chasing. Beaten by the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back, the ace gate is a big plus here.

SELECTIONS: ITZ MY GENERATION (5), OYSTER STRIDE (8), COURAGEOUS SAINT (7), WEEDONS EXPRESS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
