RACE TWO

BLUE SHARD (1) has been around the money of late without landing a winning blow. Working home strongly wide of the track from a long way back last time out to be within 5m of the winner, it followed a passing lane 3rd. With speed out of the machine, he has the options and looks to get every chance for a breakthrough.

KETTERING GIRL (8) was a tough winner at The Triangle 2 runs back in a non-TAB event when sent forward to roll the sleeves. Defeating subsequent winner HUNTER RED in that event, it had followed a passing lane 2nd after being buried away. With the easy trip she will be probing for space to strike.

GUY LOOKS GOOD (2) should be tightened from 2 runs back from a break. 9m from the winner last start over the Redcliffe 2040m trip, he can settle close to the action to make a play for the podium.

BOULDER CITY (3) has placed in 3 of his past 4 starts all at Redcliffe where he has landed gates 5 or 6 on each occasion. The improved gate is a big plus and with early bullets to fire will be in the fight.

SELECTIONS: BLUE SHARD (1), KETTERING GIRL (8), GUY LOOKS GOOD (2), BOULDER CITY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-8

RACE THREE

A big field of square gaiters to do battle where if able to find the way through the traffic TORFINO MIST (10) looks hard to stop against this line-up. Safely away early last start and soon in front from the 20m tape, she was never in danger thereafter. Back to the 10m tape, she looks to have the edge.

REDWOOD INVASION (3) is an interesting contender here after tackling the Round 1 Heats of the DJA and also set to compete in Round 2 on Saturday night. Sent to the pegs in the heat, he was chasing in vain as OUR OVARANOVA had it his own way in front. Off the front he will throw it down.

MELPARK MAGIC (9) backs up from his success here on Tuesday when powering over the top of them in the closing stages to claim a smart win. Back to 10m and if anything, facing easier opponents, this is well within reach.

LANSBURY (4) is a consistent mare that is never far from the action and has the manners to put herself in contention. Runner-up to TORFINO MIST after a tough trip last start, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TORFINO MIST (10), REDWOOD INVASION (3), MELPARK MAGIC (9), LANSBURY (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

KWASII (3) was beaten by gate 7 last time out when tackling a 2md division qualifier. Retreating to find position, he went searching for some luck and the short-cuts when hitting the line in good order behind CORSINI. Not suited over the 2138m the start prior, he can run the arm and look to dictate.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (4) eased from this same gate last time out to secure running line cover and may have been closer with a clearer passage when 7m from RUNFORTHEROSES last time out. Fitter again after that being a 2nd up effort, his 1st up run had merit and he can look to issue the challenge.

GINATIANO (8) took on a mares qualifier last start from gate 1 and taking cover could not go with them late in an evenly run event. Only 7m away from JERADAS DELIGHT the start prior, she has 2nd line options to feature in this.

SUMGIRLSOMEWHERE (1) will take good benefit from her 1st up Qld appearance at Redcliffe last start. Making an error early, she chased hard when strong to the line to be within 4m of the winner. With an easy trip, she can join in.

SELECTIONS: KWASII (3), MY ULTIMATE BONDI (4), GINATIANO (8), SUMGIRLSOMEWHERE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: KWASII (3) to win

RACE FIVE

JIGGLE AND JIVE (8)
will take benefit from her 1st up run when stepping out for the 1st time since the South East Oaks back in July. Eased from gate 6 over the 2138m trip, she was at the rear in the small field and then did not get the smoothest passage home but still ran some slick closing splits. With 2nd line options, she can arrive.

WESTERN HEIR (1) took on a qualifier when 1st up in Qld here last week. Settling in the running line, he was trying to make work into the contest when mid-field behind TRUE CONFESSIONS. From the gate he will have early options to use his speed to throw down the challenge.

ALWAYS A SECRET (2) was 1st up in Qld last start when working home wide off the track to be 4m from the winner IT AINT THE MONEY after starting from the 2nd line. Back to the front he can feature.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (4) is probably going a little better than his number suggest after facing some tough gates in recent outings. The gate and tempo beat him last start, but with even luck he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: JIGGLE AND JIVE (8), WESTERN HEIR (1), ALWAYS A SECRET (2), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (4)
SUGGESTED BET: JIGGLE AND JIVE (8) to win

RACE SIX

MONTANA FLASH (1)
started from gate 3 last time out and unable to find running line position, soon found himself at the rear of the pack. Chasing experienced rivals, he was always facing a task thereafter. Runner-up the start prior, albeit a big margin away when obliged to cut the breeze, gate 1 gives him his chance here.

WHATELEY (8) will be sweating on the 1 looking for an all the way win to boost his chances of securing first option on the passing lane. He was wide for a long way last start at Redcliffe from gate 5 and the start prior gate 5 saw him retreating early. With the cosy trip, he can look to snipe.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (5) was away from the inside in the early stages last start over the Redcliffe 1780m, chasing wide out when mid-field to ABERCROMBIE TAB. Back to the big oval in this line-up, he can feature.

MODERNDAY FALCON (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon away from the pegs to the 1x1 trail. Closing in good order to grab the silver, he can be handy enough to podium.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA FLASH (1), WHATELEY (8), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (5), MODERNDAY FALCON (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA FLASH (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

SIGNORINA JUJON (1) was asked to roll the sleeves to toil in transit last time out over the Redcliffe sprint trip. In for the fight, she fought off the challenge to claim victory. Too far back the start prior yet still closing strongly, she has all the options here to land back-to-back victories.

MATAU JESS (5) made a successful start in the Sunshine State when powering home wide off the track in claiming a 1.5m victory. That win was her 1st start in 10 months and 2nd up tackled a strong 3YO event claimed by the star ONE CHANGE. Her run had merit and with added fitness, she can challenge here.

TOANUI SPIRIT (2) will be further tightened from her latest offering when 2nd up from a break. Working hard in the breeze, she was grinding hard when mid-field and 7m from the winner. With early speed, she can feature.

TEARAWAY DIAMOND (4) has been in the money at 4 of his past 5 starts- banished to 4 trials in between those placings. Closing strongly last start when 5m away, he is in the mix again here.

SELECTIONS: SIGNORINA JUJON (1), MATAU JESS (5), TOANUI SPIRIT (2), TEARAWAY DIAMOND (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SIGNORINA JUJON (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

A tricky contest here with the newcomer landing gate 1 in a capacity field of 12. Looking to the race fit SEA HAWKE (12) who can use his fitness edge. 3 starts back nothing really made ground as SMART AS CAMM BE blitzed the last panel to put it out of reach. With even luck he can arrive.

STINGER LINDENNY (1) is the big query, lining up here for the astute Ryan Veivers stable 1st up from NZ since August. Arriving a four-time winner from the North Island, he has opened the pipes in a recent trial where he was strong to the line. The gate gives him every chance to strike first up.

VENUS JUJON (10) had her hopes dashed by gate 6 last start when snagged back and chasing in vain behind NOTORIOUS. Hitting the line in style the start prior behind ONE CHANGE, she is a place hope.

ITS SUPER EASY (2) was angled to the pegs last start to look for the short-cuts when chasing home to be 5m from the flying LARRY LINCOLN. Beaten a head by the same winner 3 back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SEA HAWKE (12), STINGER LINDENNY (1), VENUS JUJON (10), ITS SUPER EASY (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

OUR BONDI BEACH (1) has placed in 3 of his past 5 starts, the latest when working home strongly from back in the pack over the Redcliffe 2040m behind dead-heating winners. Runner-up to ITZ MY GENERATION the start prior, he loves the passing lane and this looks to be right in his wheelhouse.

LA PLAYER (4) pounced on the poles from gate 2 over the middle distance here 2 runs back and once in control was never really in danger in claiming a 2m victory. Mid-field last start over the mile from the running line, he can press forward here and look to throw down the challenge.

COMMODORE JUJON (8) started from gate 11 over the 2138m trip last start and was too far back as KINGOFTHESTARS dictated in front. Tough in the breeze the start prior, he will be probing for gaps.

SQUIRE (5) held the 1x1 trail over the mile last start and was closing in good order when 4m from the winner IDEAL WORLD. Not much has really gone his way of late, this is not out of reach.

SELECTIONS: OUR BONDI BEACH (1), LA PLAYER (4), COMMODORE JUJON (8), SQUIRE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR BONDI BEACH (1) to win
