RACE TWO

DOWN UNDER RORS (2) has been without a win since January, yet in recent starts he has looked to be getting back towards winning form. Placed in 4 of his past 6 attempts, he was safely away last start prior to releasing JANSSON and then finishing runner-up. From the 10m, he looks to get his chance.

YOU REALLY GOT ME (8) was well-supported at his 1st Aus start here back on Nov 5 when tackling the 2138m from the mobile. Striking trouble and breaking gait, his chances ended when down the line behind I ASKED NICELY. Trialling in good order since that 1st start, he can be much sharper here.

KAPAI (5) has been in the money at 4 of his past 5 starts, finishing with the bronze on each occasion. Doing it the tough way from his 20m tape last start and whacking away outside the leader, he can feature again here.

DAVEY MAC (9) has faced the starter 3 times since arriving in Aus and has struck trouble on each occasion. The latest issue was from the mobile when making an early error. He is a rough hope if he can do everything right.

SELECTIONS: DOWN UNDER RORS (2), YOU REALLY GOT ME (8), KAPAI (5), DAVEY MAC (9)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWN UNDER RORS (2) to win

RACE THREE

EARL JUJON (4) will appreciate the small field and with some tempo in the run can be looking to have the closing shot. Eased from gate 6 back to the rear last start, he was sound in the closing stages and the start prior was always facing a task behind L L COOL J. This shapes well to break a 12-month win drought.

RIVERLIEGH ROCKET (2) has early speed out of the machine and can look to either work to the front or will have the option to dart in behind with no runners off the 2nd line. Within 3m of the winner ALWAYS A SECRET last start, he is racing well without much going his way.

ONLY IN ROME (1) chased home for the bronze over the Redcliffe 2280m last start which had followed a mid-field finish when 6m from the winner NOTORIOUS. With early speed, he has options.

RANIERI (6) took on a 2138m qualifier last start when easing forward to find a prominent position. Holding the 1x1 trail to then finish mid-field behind MAJOR MUCHA, he will not be far away in this.

SELECTIONS: EARL JUJON (4), RIVERLIEGH ROCKET (2), ONLY IN ROME (1), RANIERI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: EARL JUJON (4) to win

RACE FOUR

MAFFIOSO GIRL (5) eased from gate 7 last time out to find position back in the pack over the mile. Making a spirited charge in the closing stages, she attacked the line to be within a half-head of the winner. Mid-field the start prior after releasing the lead, she can finish them off.

REDS GOOD TO GO (6) will be further tightened from his latest offering when 2nd up from a break. Sent to the breeze 1st up from gate 4, he was in for the fight when 6m in arrears of the winner CORINDHAP CREEK. Eased from gate 6 last start, he worked home soundly and can challenge in this.

JAY DEE BE ROLLIN (1) started from the 2nd line last time out at The Triangle when settling in the 1x1 trail before grabbing the silver behind ROCKNROLL SWINGER. The gate is a big aid to his chances.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (7) has no favours from the tough gate but with some early tempo, might just have some bullets to fire in the closing stages. Wide off the track last start, look for him swooping.

SELECTIONS: MAFFIOSO GIRL (5), REDS GOOD TO GO (6), JAY DEE BE ROLLIN (1), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

RUNFORTHEROSES (1)
was building towards a victory with some consistent performances, placing 4 times in succession. Franking that consistency, she swept home from a 2nd line gate to claim victory 2 starts back. Beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating, she has the options to cash-in here.

IMA BEACH BABE (3) found the pocket trail here 2 runs back when best of the chasing pack to hold 2nd behind OUR RIDGY DIDGE. Too strong for them last start at Marburg when pulling clear to claim a 12m victory, she can look to get forward here and if able to limit the workload can challenge.

UTELLA (8) made the most of finding the front at Redcliffe 3 starts back when able to lead them all the way for a narrow victory. Not that far away from the 2nd line in both starts since, she will be probing.

CROWN MOJO (7) returned from a spell in the best possible fashion when sweeping home from back in the pack to claim victory. Again, working home strongly last start, he lands gate 7 for the 3rd time in succession with a place looking best.

SELECTIONS: RUNFORTHEROSES (1), IMA BEACH BABE (3), UTELLA (8), CROWN MOJO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: RUNFORTHEROSES (1) to win

RACE SIX

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (8)
was always facing a monumental task last time out against his own age after landing gate 7. With BLACKSADANCE doing it all in front over the 2138m, he could not get into the fight. Closing soundly the start prior when runner-up to COLBY, he looks set for and easy trip and can look to take the snipers shot.

NIKITARAS (1) Set the tempo here 3 runs back over the mile and had them rolling when L L COOL J was able to power home to score. Runner-up at his next outing when setting a sharp time at Redcliffe, he cashed-in last start when arriving from back in the pack. He will be gripping on here.

LA PLAYER (9) pressed forward to find the front last start from gate 4, with the lamp lighting duties proving to expensive with a sub 27 opener. Digging in to be 6m away, he has podium claims in this.

WICKED AZZ (2) was luckless last start when soon locked away from inside the 2nd line in a mares qualifier and searching for openings. Tough in the breeze the start prior, she is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: DOUBLE OR NOTHING (8), NIKITARAS (1), LA PLAYER (9), WICKED AZZ (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DOUBLE OR NOTHING (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (1) eased from gate 7 to find position last start over the 2138m and from back in the pack worked home stylishly to power over the top to victory at huge odds. Tough in the breeze the start prior when 4m from NOTORIOUS, he can capitalise from the ace gate.

NOTORIOUS (6) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at the mile when able to lead in both events. From gate 7 last start he was sent forward to take control and once in front held them off in claiming a 2m victory. The gate stings once again and he might need to do some work to challenge.

PROSECUTION WITNESS (8) will be 1st up in Qld for the Dixon stable and resumes from a spell. Arriving a six-time winner in Tasmania, he was given an easy trial to prepare and can get a cosy trip.

PARAVANI (4) was eased from gate 5 last start in a qualifier and from the rear was always facing a task against the tempo. Runner-up his previous 2 in succession, he is in the mix against this line-up.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (1), NOTORIOUS (6), PROSECUTION WITNESS (8), PARAVANI (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

STINGER LINDENNY (5) started deep into the red when stepping out in Aus for the 1st time here last week over this trip. From gate 1 he was straight to the front and through an even opening half tried to dial it up but could not finish them off. Fitter for the outing, he can bounce back with venom.

ITS SUPER EASY (1) was forced to work home wide off the track last start as STINGER LINDENNY was setting the tempo but he could not work into the contest. Locked away on the poles the start prior when only 5m in arrears of LARRY LINCOLN, the options from the gate can see him right in the fight.

ONE OFF (9) was back in the pack last time out and chasing as MAJOR MUCHA controlled the tempo in front in a qualifier. Only a neck away the start prior, he can be in the mix against these.

LETS GO BETTER (6) has the wide gate to contend with as he searches for a drought breaking win. Mid-field last start at Redcliffe behind JUST JOSHIN, if limiting the early work, he can place in this.

SELECTIONS: STINGER LINDENNY (5), ITS SUPER EASY (1), ONE OFF (9), LETS GO BETTER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: STINGER LINDENNY (5) to win

RACE NINE

L L COOL J (7) has gone 2 for 2 since arriving in Qld, the latest when scoring victory over the gun 3YO ONE CHANGE and ending that colts unbeaten streak in the Sunshine State. He was clinical in his 1st up effort when ambling up to the breeze and scoring easily. The gate hurts, but the threepeat is on.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (2) will strip fitter following his 1st up run over the 2138m. Sent forward from the 2nd line to get up outside the leader, his condition gave out under the tough trip when fading to a mid-field finish behind COLBY. In the money at his last 6 runs in succession prior to a spell, he can fire out early.

CHERRYS THE BEST (11) will be further tightened from her latest outing when runner-up to CHEVRONS REWARD in a mares event. Closing hard for the bronze when 1st up, she can be chiming in.

OUR BONDI BEACH (1) has placed at his past 3 in succession, the latest after being locked away 3 back from this alley last time out. With the cosy trip he can be probing for the openings once again.

SELECTIONS: L L COOL J (7), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (2), CHERRYS THE BEST (11), OUR BONDI BEACH (1)
SUGGESTED BET: L L COOL J (7) to win
