RACE TWO

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4) pressed forward from gate 5 last start to set up outside the leader over the mile. Turning for home he loomed up and then the eventual winner clipped his wheel in a scrimmage, but he fought on to claim the silver. Starting to put it together, this is within reach.

STUDLEIGH WILL (2) speared across to find the front here 2 starts back from gate 3 and with a steady tempo in front was nabbed in the closing stages when 3m in arrears of the winner CROWN MOJO. Beaten by the widest gate at The Triangle last start, if able to find the front, he will take catching.

COUNTYR RUN (1) retreated from gate 7 last start to find the pegs before finding the line in nice order to be 6m in arrears of the winner. With the speed to have early options, he is in the mix.

TRIOLI (8) will be 3rd up in Qld after his 1st 2 starts have not really gone his way. Forced to snag back when 1st up, he was searching for a clear passage last time. With a soft trip he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4), STUDLEIGH WILL (2), COUNTYR RUN (1), TRIOLI (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE THREE

It has been over 12 months since MODERNDAY FALCON (1) won his last race, but he comes up with suitable conditions to land career win number 3 here. Making a 3-wide move from the 600m last start, he could not sustain it when fading. Only 3m away the start prior, he can capitalise in this.

FEEL THE THUNDER (6) will strip fitter following his latest appearance when returning from a spell and meeting a stronger line-up. Having a look for the front, he was repelled before finishing mid-field behind the in-form FROST EN ICE. In this line-up he can throw down the challenge.

JOEY LINCOLN (10) started from gate 1 last start and was soon buried away and then did not see the gaps to issue any realistic challenge. With the right cart into the contest, he can be in the mix.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (2) snagged back from gate 6 last start and was too far back to get into the contest. Beaten by a wide gate the start prior at Marburg, he can settle close to the action to feature.

SELECTIONS: MODERNDAY FALCON (1), FEEL THE THUNDER (6), JOEY LINCOLN (10), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MODERNDAY FALCON (1) to win

RACE FOUR

OUR ULTIMATE HANNA (4) found cover in the run last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip before finishing over the top to claim victory. Soon buried in the run 2 starts back from gate 1, she closed out soundly for the bronze. Fitter again from her latest run when 3rd up, she can strike again.

TARGARYEN (2) is a 3YO stepping out in Qld for the 1st time and arrives from the deep south of NZ with 2 wins to his name. A winner 2 runs back on September 3 in good fashion when doing the work and proving too strong over the 2200m trip. He comes into this without a local trial and must be respected in this line-up.

SHESA PEARLA (9) was wide off the track last start when working home to grab 3rd behind the big winner ROCKSLIDE. Not far away from SONNY ORLANDO in her only look at The Creek, she can feature here.

APACHE WHITESOX (8) did not have much go his way 2 starts back when forced to retreat to find position and then last start could not go with them. With a soft trip he is a place chance in this.

SELECTIONS: OUR ULTIMATE HANNA (4), TARGARYEN (2), SHESA PEARLA (9), APACHE WHITESOX (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

HUNTER RED (3)
returned from a spell in a Non-TAB event when working home wide off the track in nice style over the Redcliffe sprint trip to grab the silver. Back to The Triangle 2nd up, he was sent straight to the front and once in control, ran a slick last 800m for an easy victory. With added fitness he can have them chasing.

REGAL NIGHTHADE (4) found the pocket trail from gate 4 last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip when using the passing lane to be 6m in arrears of the winner. Working home in nice order here 2 starts back when 5m from the winner after retreating early from gate 7, he can settle handy to challenge here.

DOOLITTLE DANDY (1) could not go with them last start when the sprint went on over the 1780m but the start prior used the passing lane to be 3m in arrears of the winner. With the cosy trip he is a place chance.

FIRE ME UP (2) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and chasing in vain as the in-form BLISSFULDAY cruised home. She can look to find the pegs here and with a cosy trip can join in late.

SELECTIONS: HUNTER RED (3), REGAL NIGHTHADE (4), DOOLITTLE DANDY (1), FIRE ME UP (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HUNTER RED (3) to win

RACE SIX

MATAU JESS (10)
will appreciate this class of contest and can overcome the tough gate. Sent forward to race first over last start from gate 5 and had put the leader away by the home turn to claim an easy 5m victory. Not disgraced behind ONE CHANGE the start prior, she looks hard to stop.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (2) started from inside the 2nd line last time out when away from the pegs early to work home wide off the track but unable to eat into the deficit as OUR RIDGY DIDGE took control in front. Working home in good order the start prior as LARRY LINCOLN arrived, he can capitalise on his best gate for some time.

OUR ULTIMATE VICKI (1) will be further tightened from her latest start when 2nd up from a spell. Facing tough gates in both return runs, with the benefit of the good alley, she can be joining in.

LIFEINHEAVEN (4) has been kept fresh since her last outing when down the line over the Redcliffe 2040m. Only 4m away the start prior form the pocket trail, she can settle handy to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: MATAU JESS (10), LITTLELIONELJAMES (2), OUR ULTIMATE VICKI (1), LIFEINHEAVEN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MATAU JESS (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

This  shapes as a tough race to dissect with the early tempo and positioning throwing up perhaps more questions than answers. ADRENALINE RUSH (3) finished best to claim a narrow victory last start at Marburg which had followed a 5th as a beaten fav. She can look to tuck in behind and having her 1st look at The Creek can make it a successful one.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (5) was asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start at Marburg from a wide gate and was in for the fight when 3m away. Runner-up to MADAMOISELLE JUJON the start prior, she can do the work if needed and can look to issue a strong challenge here.

HOT EMBERS (2) returns to Qld to join the Ron Sallis barn. 1st up from a spell without a preparatory trial, his form around Penrith last campaign was sound and with early speed can feature fresh.

WEEDONS EXPRESS (9) has been dealt a tough alley under the conditions and has been meeting stronger opposition in recent starts. 7m from JOANNIES GIRL last start, he was buried away from gate 10 the start prior as LARRY LINCOLN saluted. He can certainly figure with a rub of the green.

SELECTIONS: ADRENALINE RUSH (3), TRUNKEY DIGGER (5), HOT EMBERS (2), WEEDONS EXPRESS (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

KEY LARGO (6) has been in consistent form on the Saturday night circuit and should appreciate a drop back to this style of contest. From inside the 2nd line last start he sliced through to grab the bronze behind ITZ MY GENERATION. Only beaten a neck and 1m following a win 5 runs back, he can cash-in.

JOANNIES GIRL (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and securing the pocket trail was able to make the closing shot a winner up the passing lane. Doing her share of early work before receiving cover and then finishing 6m from IT AINT THE MONEY 2 starts back, she can get the trip to challenge.

EL GRAN SENOR (9) many not have the best of numbers but they do not tell the real story. Closing out in good order in recent starts, not much has gone his way. If a crumb of luck should happen to fall his way, he can feature.

ROCKN BRUSHGROVE (3) returns from a spell without a public trial but his form prior to the break was against some handy opponents. Only 10m from GAME SET MAJOR 2 starts back, he can fire early bullets here.

SELECTIONS: KEY LARGO (6), JOANNIES GIRL (1), EL GRAN SENOR (9), ROCKN BRUSHGROVE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: KEY LARGO (6) to win
