RACE TWO

MISTER DECORUM (8) was sent forward from a wide gate last start at Marburg and after a tough run outside the leader, faded in the closing stages as the in-form ARMA AUGUSTUS claimed the prize. Not that far from them in a slightly tougher race 4 runs back, he can overcome the gate impediment to take this.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (6) made the most of an improved draw last time out after facing some tough gates in recent outings. Settling in the pocket trail she had bullets to fire when they swung for home and taking the closing shot was able to hit the target in a 7m victory. The wide gate hurts but she is up to the challenge.

ITS YOU NOT ME (7) is a Kilcoy veteran with 8 appearances here that have returned a lone victory. Fading last start after an easy trip at Redcliffe, he can be searching for gaps o chime in here.

ORLANDO JOLT (5) is a trotter taking on the pacers and will be tightened from his 1st up appearance in Qld when mid-field behind REDWOOD INVASION. The front line is not flush with depth and he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DECORUM (8), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (6), ITS YOU NOT ME (7), ORLANDO JOLT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER DECORUM (8) to win

RACE THREE

MAGGIE (5) is a 4YO mare stepping out in Qld for the 1st time, arriving from the South Island of NZ with a solitary win to her name. Not asked for much in a recent trial at Redcliffe where she was 2nd to BIG GEM MONTANA, she was closing in good order under a good hold. The gate is a little sticky, but she can open her Aus account.

RAYONG PRINCESS (2) has been in decent touch of late and backs up from a sweeping victory at Redcliffe on Thursday. Working home from back in the pack to arrive, it followed a half-neck 2nd 3 runs back when cut down in the closing strides after looking to lead throughout. From the gate she can throw it down.

BIG GEM MONTANA (3) is a 2YO taking on the older horses here after being banished to the trials last start after fading out. Leading throughout the start prior from a wide gate, he is a podium hope.

MANOFLISA (4) is yet to hit the board in 4 attempts at the track yet is probably going better now than at any of his other outings on the grass. Returning a sound effort last start when wide off the track, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MAGGIE (5), RAYONG PRINCESS (2), BIG GEM MONTANA (3), MANOFLISA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MAGGIE (5) to win
