RACE TWO

ELLE JAY (6) has been taking the most of her chances in this grade and lines up here after finishing in the money at her past 6 in succession. Runner-up the past 2, she was the leading chaser behind ROUSEY last start and has a strong record here that shows 3 wins in 4 attempts. Only needs a rub of the green from the gate to take this.

STAR OF WONDER (1) is still searching for his 1st win in Qld after an extended period and from the ace will be trying to capitalise on his chances in this. Well beaten at his past 2 starts, he can utilise his early speed to be in the right position to make a play for the prize.

BAMBOLE NERE (8) worked home in good style at Redcliffe 2 starts back when grabbing the bronze. Covering plenty of ground here last start when wide off the track, she can be thereabouts.

CLARES FOOL (5) started from gate 1 here last time out when returning from a spell and having his 1st outing in Qld. Best of the rest behind the big winner MY ULTIMATE HELL, he will strip fitter and anywhere near his best is capable enough to overcome the gate.

SELECTIONS: ELLE JAY (6), STAR OF WONDER (1), BAMBOLE NERE (8), CLARES FOOL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ELLE JAY (6) to win

RACE THREE

MANOFLISA (1) could not find position from gate 4 last start when caught wide and was forced to retreat. From there he was never in the mix. Forced to work hard in the breeze 5 runs back over the Redcliffe 2040m, he can look to make the most of the ace gate and dictating the tune can see it out.

CANNAN (4) was a winner here 3 starts back when taking the trail from gate 1 and then when angled into space had the finishing power to arrive for the prize. Runner-up in both outings since that win, he was closing hard last time when only a head in arrears. The gate stings but he can ask some questions.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (5) was hustled off the gate over the 2138m last start. Crossed early he looked for a re-take yet was repelled and had to cover the last mile from the breeze. In for the fight when only 3m from the winner, he strips fitter after 3 runs back and can throw it down here.

JINGLES BROMAC (8) made an error here last start that ended his chances. That followed a down the line run in a Gold Pot heat and despite the tough gate, this looks his chance to find the podium.

SELECTIONS: MANOFLISA (1), CANNAN (4), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (5), JINGLES BROMAC (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MANOFLISA (1) to win

RACE FOUR

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (1)
was forced to grind hard outside the leader here 2 starts back and after the tough trip was fighting on to be 2m in arrears of the winner. Last start from inside the 2nd line over the Redcliffe sprint trip, he made the passing lane shot a winning one and from this gate can dictate.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (8) has no favours from the tough gate here and will be relying on some factors in his favour. Too strong in front at Redcliffe 3 starts back, he was placed at his next 2 outings, the latest when runner-up to TORQUE ONETWOTHREE. With even luck in transit he has claims.

NIGHT NINJA (7) may have finished closer than the 2.5m margin 2 starts back after striking some trouble in the run and franked that when finishing over the top to score last start. With the right trail he can chime in here.

SCHEU CREEK (6) finds a nice alley at his 1st run back from a spell and looks set to secure an economic trip. Hitting the board in 6 of 9 outings on this track, he will be probing for a gap.

SELECTIONS: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (1), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (8), NIGHT NINJA (7), SCHEU CREEK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (1) to win

RACE FIVE

ARMA AUGUSTUS (1)
made an error last start at The Triangle when sent to the post as fav. Looking to have lost all chance when tailed out, he worked around them and was game in defeat when holding on for the bronze. Wide off the track when 3rd here 2 starts back, he will need to hustle early but can control it thereafter.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (4) eased from gate 4 to find position last start and was wide off the track in the closing stages when joining in to grab the bronze behind BLISSFULDAY. A Redcliffe winner 4 starts back from a wide gate when closing out strongly, she can look to issue a challenge in this.

MISTER DECORUM (5) has a great record here at Marburg that shows 3 wins and 4 minors in 9 outings. The gate gives him no favours here, but able to handle some work, he can feature.

LORD DENZEL (6) has worked his way into some form, claiming a passing lane win at Redcliffe 3 starts back. Following that with a 3m 3rd over the AP mile, he will be searching for a way clear here.

SELECTIONS: ARMA AUGUSTUS (1), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (4), MISTER DECORUM (5), LORD DENZEL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ARMA AUGUSTUS (1) to win

RACE SIX

FOR THE CORZ (4)
is on the back-up from Friday at Redcliffe where she looked a place hope. 2 starts back over the Redcliffe 1780m trip she was chasing gamely when 7m from the winner JEROSH. The wide gate makes it a little sticky, but she looks to get her chance for a Qld breakthrough.

LIVING GRAND (2) takes his 1st look at the Marburg track and from the gate can look to settle close to the action. Buried away last start when returning from a freshen, he was too far back to issue a challenge when the leader dictated. Tough in the breeze 2 starts back behind SMITHSTARS LEXUS, he can challenge.

FRANCISCO DE GORE (7) was sent to the front from gate 5 last start at Redcliffe and after a steady opening 800m, tried to dial it up but was unable to finish it off. Placed his previous 2, he can chime in.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (5) has the wide gate to negotiate but will appreciate some early tempo in the run here. Luckless from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: FOR THE CORZ (4), LIVING GRAND (2), FRANCISCO DE GORE (7), BEEF CITY BLAZE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FOR THE CORZ (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

ITZ MY GENERATION (7) has his first look at the tight track under race conditions, however he has trialled here at the start of this campaign. Putting together 3 successive wins including a pair of Saturday night victories, it has not gone to plan his past few. Backing up from Friday, he may just have found his race.

ALE ALE KAI (1) comes up with the options from the ace gate and was a winner over this trip when leading all the way from this same gate 6 starts back. Hitting the line strongly when a half-head away behind MONTANA CHIEF 2 starts back, she will be throwing down a big challenge here.

MAJORDOIT (4) was obliged to do it the tough way last start when sitting outside the leader over the Redcliffe sprint trip and fighting hard when 2m in arrears of the winner.  He can chime in here.

MONTANA CHIEF (6) was a winner here 2 starts back when working home wide off the track from gate 9 to arrive in the closing strides. Needing a slice of luck from this alley, he will be searching for a way clear.

SELECTIONS: ITZ MY GENERATION (7), ALE ALE KAI (1), MAJORDOIT (4), MONTANA CHIEF (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ITZ MY GENERATION (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

JEWEL OF PEAK (1) has early speed and from the inside can look to protect the pegs into the first turn. A winner here 5 starts back when leading all the way, she was gunned down in front here 2 starts back by IFOUNDTHEBEACH. Limiting the early burn will be key to her chances of holding on.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6) will need a rub of the green from inside the 2nd line with no passing lane here at Marburg. Hitting the board in 11 of his past 12 starts, he was sent to the front last start and was game when setting the tempo of a 1.52.8 mile to the winner MAJOR FERNCO when beaten 6m. He will be probing.

HUNTAWAY (4) looked to take them all the way last start at Redcliffe and was in front until the closing strides. A winner from gate 6 the start prior, he has speed off the arm and will take an early shot.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (2) has claimed the silver at both appearances at this track, the latest when closing in good order behind MAFFIOSO. Settling just behind the speed, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL OF PEAK (1), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (6), HUNTAWAY (4), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (1) takes his 1st look at the track and comes up with the perfect gate. Down the line 2 starts back behind B MAC C, he was snagged back from gate 6 last start over the AP 2138m trip. With speed out of the machine, he looks to get his chance to capitalise here.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (8) eased off the pegs last start at Redcliffe and was strong to the line in a smart last 800m when 9m in arrears of the winner OUR UNCLE ALAN. Chasing hard the start prior behind BURMACH, his record on this track is good and he can be looking to make a closing challenge.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (2) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Back in the pack over the Redcliffe sprint trip, he can settle closer here to be in the mix.

LETS GO BETTER (6) is on the back-up from Friday at Redcliffe where he looked a chance to feature in the placings. Buried in the run the start prior, he will be searching for gaps here to offer.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (1), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (8), GRIZZLY MONTANA (2), LETS GO BETTER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN COSMONAUT (1) to win
