RACE TWO

AURORA (2)
has found it tough this season after charging through the grades as a 3YO to claim 8 wins for the term. With just the solitary win from 20 attempts this season, she finds suitable conditions here to turn it around. With brilliant manners, she gets every chance for a deserved breakthrough.

MAJESTIC SPEED (5) was sent forward from the 20m to sit parked last start and after the tough trip was still giving as the best of the chasers behind SPIDERS DEVIL. Chasing gamely the start prior when runner-up to THE NIGHT KING, she is super consistent and can be throwing it down once again.

SPIDERS DEVIL (4) is a last start winner after finding the pocket trail from the 10m tape before working into open space and pulling clear to a 13m margin. He can be chiming in again.

FIRST OFFENCE (1) will take fitness from his return last start when first up since December last year. With the handicap advantage, he can look to fill a podium position.

SELECTIONS: AURORA (2), MAJESTIC SPEED (5), SPIDERS DEVIL (4), FIRST OFFENCE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: AURORA (2) to win

RACE THREE

CINDAROCKINRELLA (2)
was beaten by gate 6 last start when sent forward over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Working hard to take up the running, she was unable to see it out. Not too far away in the runs leading up to that, she lands her best gate for some time and gets the opportunity to breakthrough.

TULHURST LOVER (9) has only had the 2 starts here at The Creek, returning a 3rd placing. Pressing on to take control last start from gate 5 at Redcliffe, she was fighting all the way when finishing 1m in arrears of the winner. Only a head away 3 starts back, she can press through to challenge in this.

THE HARRIS HAWK (3) was a Redcliffe winner 5 runs back to open his account and has managed to grab the bronze in 3 of his 4 starts since the breakthrough. Settling handy will aid his chances.

ARNOLD STREET (10) returned from a spell with a win against his own age bracket at Redcliffe and followed that with a midfield result in a slick rate. With the right cart into this, eh can feature.

SELECTIONS: CINDAROCKINRELLA (2), TULHURST LOVER (9), THE HARRIS HAWK (3), ARNOLD STREET (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

MOLLYS SECRET (9)
was wide from gate 6 last start and forced to retreat to find a running line spot was soon at the rear of the field. Picking up some good ground in the closing stages, it was a smart effort to be 7m in arrears. Placed her previous 3 in succession, this looks the race for her.

WHICH HUNT (5) was fresh up last start when settling in the running line from a 2nd line alley and was making some nice metres in the closing stages as MAGGIE took the win. 3rd to PEPPA BLISS 2 starts back, finding position cheaply will be key to her challenging chances.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (1) was looking to take them all the way 2 starts back in a mare’s qualifier and was clinging on with only CHEESANDKISSES getting past her. From this alley, she will be fighting hard.

SHE OWNS THE DAY (8) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage and if it goes her way, she will be in a striking position. Wide off the track when only a neck away last start, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: MOLLYS SECRET (9), WHICH HUNT (5), SHEZ ALL STYLE (1), SHE OWNS THE DAY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MOLLYS SECRET (9) to win

RACE FIVE

MAGICOL IDEAL (3) was repelled early from gate 2 last start before easing in for the trail and from there looked to have plenty to offer when right lined at the top of the stretch but plateaued on the run to be 9m from the winner. If he can find the hustle to take control, he will take catching.

JOEY LINCOLN (2) was a winner here 4 starts back when settling in the trail and then making the closing shot via the passing lane a winning one. Luckless 2 starts back at Marburg behind the talented 2YO MISTY CREEK, he can settle close enough to throw down a challenge.

ILLBEWATCHING (5) is a quick beginner and from this alley can take a solid shot at being first to the poles. Unable to see it out when leading last start at Redcliffe, he is in the mix.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (9) has just the 1 win in 25 appearances here at headquarters and from this alley can look to trail through in the early stages. Game in defeat when sitting parked last start, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MAGICOL IDEAL (3), JOEY LINCOLN (2), ILLBEWATCHING (5), THE CASUAL GOOSE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MAGICOL IDEAL (3) to win

RACE SIX

ILLAWONG KIM (4)
will take good benefit from her return to the track at what was her first Qld appearance when leading throughout at Redcliffe. With 9 months between starts, she was never in danger first up when cruising in front to a dominant 16m victory. Fitter for the outing she can look to back it up.

ARCHILLES (1) found the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line last start at Redcliffe and set out to launch a closing raid when 9m from the winner. Not suited when obliged to roll the sleeves and grind it out when parked the start prior, he comes up with the gate for the cosy trip before making a passing lane play.

WHATABOYJACK (3) finally broke through for a maiden breaking victory last start when sent straight to the front over the Redcliffe 1780 and scoring easily with over 17m to spare. He can fire some early bullets again here.

BULLDOG BRAWLER (10) has no favours from this gate but has been hitting some nice areas with a top-3 at his past 4 in succession. Runner-up to BUKTHSYSTEM last start after a gritty run when parked, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: ILLAWONG KIM (4), ARCHILLES (1), WHATABOYJACK (3), BULLDOG BRAWLER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: ILLAWONG KIM (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

VALENCIA (7)
was first up in Qld in a heat of the Peak of the Creek last Thursday when making an early error. Resetting and finding the front before taking cover, he was fighting hard for the silver behind THE GENERAL. Beaten by the ODM gate in the Final behind UNCLE SHANK, he can gain redemption.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (5) was hitting the line in nice order in the 3YO QBRED event last Saturday night when just 8m from the winner CHAMONIX. Charging home wide out under the arches here the start prior at the mile behind ONE LAST ROLL, he can look to throw down the challenge.

MAGGIE (8) had been building towards something after some handy efforts where she had not experienced the best of luck along the way. Franking that with a passing lane win last start, she can be probing again.

BRILLIANT ART (1) will need to step up from her Redcliffe efforts but comes up with the ideal gate to do so. Only 3m away in 2nd last start after a gritty run when parked, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: VALENCIA (7), DOCTA FEELGOOD (5), MAGGIE (8), BRILLIANT ART (1)
SUGGESTED BET: VALENCIA (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

SHADOW MINISTER (1)
found the 1x1 trail in his Peak of the Creek Heat but was unable to match them over the closing stages. Booting through to take control here 2 starts back, he was giving to the wire when runner-up to CLASSIE AMERICAN. With all the options from the gate, he gets every chance.

THERESACHANCE (6) has been in consistent touch with a top-3 at his past 5 attempts, including through the heat and final of the Peak of the Creek. Eased to the pegs in the G2 Final, he picked them off along the lane to grab the bronze and with slick moves early can throw it down here.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (4) started from the 2nd line last time out when trying to make late ground as ROCKS OR DIAMONDS took the prize. Settling handy he can be making a closing play here.

DANCELIKEANANGEL (8) is first up in Qld, joining the Melissa Gillies stable as the winner of 5 races in her career. Runner-up 2 starts back from the trail, the economical trip first up looks ideal.

SELECTIONS: SHADOW MINISTER (1), THERESACHANCE (6), BANGKOK BRAVADO (4), DANCELIKEANANGEL (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADOW MINISTER (1) to win

RACE NINE

JUDDY DOUGLAS (3)
put the power on last start in a Peak of the Creek heat when sent forward from gate 7. Continuing to pour on the pressure, he worked to the front after a sub 27 opener that proved too costly as he wilted late. His chances rest on how much petrol is burned in the first 600m.

NOTORIOUS (2) did not have much go his way last time out in a qualifier when forced to retreat to secure position from gate 5 over the mile. Gate 10 and gate 7 was his undoing in the 2 prior starts and with the improved alley here, should gain his chance to settle handy to challenge.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (8) will need a slice of luck at some stage from this alley as he looks in danger of being buried. Runner-up last start when just 2m from KIWIS ARE FLYING, he will be probing.

COMMODORE JUJON (5) was a winner here 3 starts back from gate 4 when securing running line cover and charging over the top. Sectionally strong last start, he can make a closing play.

SELECTIONS: JUDDY DOUGLAS (3), NOTORIOUS (2), ANOTHER STATEMENT (8), COMMODORE JUJON (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

LEITHEN BURN (1) was returning from a spell in the strong Peak Series last week and for this gate with the early speed out wide was soon planted 3 back along the inside. Taking benefit from the run, he can look to keep them wide or with the right trail, looks to get his opportunity for a breakthrough.

A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (3) started from gate 1 last time out and was soon shuffled away. Looking for the gaps over the closing stages, she was able to chime in for the bronze. Runner-up in 3 of her 4 previous outings, from this gate she can look to throw it down.

FAIRIESDELIGHT (4) was asked to roll the sleeves to do it the tough way last start and was in for the fight when just 1m from the winner. Settling handy to the action, she has podium claims.

LAVAZZA (5) claimed a mare’s qualifier 3 starts back when finishing over the top from the 1x1 trail. Forced to grind it out when parked outside TEDDY DISCO at her next start, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: LEITHEN BURN (1), A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (3), FAIRIESDELIGHT (4), LAVAZZA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LEITHEN BURN (1) to win
