RACE TWO

THE RAGNBONE MAN (8) makes his 1st appearance at Redcliffe and despite landing the 2nd line, he has been meeting some much stronger customers in recent starts. Pressing on from gate 10 over the AP mile last start, he held on for the bronze behind IMFELLINGIT. This is well within reach.

PEGGY STARDUST (2) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts, gunned down in the closing stages in both. Well rated on both occasions in running even sections in front, she has gone under a half-head and a half-neck in each. From the gate to lead them up again, she will be gripping on in the stretch.

VIC HUNTER (1) broke the maiden tag at Marburg 2 starts back when finding the front and leading all the way. 1st up for the new stable here, he can be a podium player from the gate.

ALL MADNESS (6) was nabbed in the stretch over the AP mile 3 starts back when leading them up. Working hard in the breeze 2 starts back, if limiting the burn here, a place is achievable.

SELECTIONS: THE RAGNBONE MAN (8), PEGGY STARDUST (2), VIC HUNTER (1), ALL MADNESS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: THE RAGNBONE MAN (8) to win

RACE THREE

ROLL WITH NIKE (3) will take good benefit from his 1st run in Qld when resuming off a freshen. A Cowra winner 2 starts back when leading throughout, his Qld debut was an eye-catcher when hitting the line strongly to be 3m from the winner. Firing out or find space to drop-in, he can take this.

ALL GOOD WALLY (2) was locked away against the poles from inside the 2nd line over the AP mile last start and chased hard when the gap opened to be within 4m of the smart winner BILLY LINCOLN. Hitting the line nicely to arrive for the prize 3 starts back, he will give this a big shake.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (6) has been in top touch, with a trifecta finish in 7 of his past 10 outings. Locked away last start, he was 4m off the winner in grabbing 3rd and can be thereabouts again.

TRENT FROM PUNCHY (5) has the wide gate to negotiate and has been trying to work home from back in the pack at his past 3 starts since arriving for a tidy AP win. He can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: ROLL WITH NIKE (3), ALL GOOD WALLY (2), WILD ABOUT TOWN (6), TRENT FROM PUNCHY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROLL WITH NIKE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

MERRYWOOD PEARL (2)
worked forward from gate 4 last start over this same trip to take up the lamp lighting duties. After being headed before the home turn she rallied gamely to claim a narrow victory. Luckless the start prior, she will be fitter after 3 runs after a break and can go back-to-back.

SACHE GIRL (8) went to the pegs from gate 11 last start to look for the cheap runs and was hitting the line strongly behind AMILLION PROMISES. Things haven’t gone her way since winning here 5 starts back in leading throughout and with a return to mares company here, she can feature.

MISS KEESHA (3) eased into the running line last start from gate 4 and saved for a closing shot arrived on the line to score. Only beaten a neck 3 starts back, she will be in the mix again here.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (7) will be needing a slice of luck from the alley as she potentially will be buried in the run. Placed in both runs here on the triangle, she was only 4m away last start and can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MERRYWOOD PEARL (2), SACHE GIRL (8), MISS KEESHA (3), TRUNKEY DIGGER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-3-7-8

RACE FIVE

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (9) will need to overcome a tricky alley here, but his form in recent outings might just be strong enough to get him home. Grabbed in the last strides over the 2138m trip last start, he was tough in the breeze the start prior. An early move could suit and he can out-last them.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (3) found the front over the middle distance 2 starts back and once in front was able to dictate and bring them home in a smart last 800m to claim the prize. Grabbed up the passing lane last start when leading and beaten a head, he can light the lamps here and be gripping on.

TOPNOTCH MACH (8) is better suited from the front and displayed that 2 starts back when only grabbed in the latter stages. Beaten by a wide gate when forced to restrain last start, he can place.

CORPORAL LUNA (7) should be further tightened following 4 runs back from a break and with the benefit of a soft trip can be probing the gaps here. Game in the breeze last start, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (9), GRIZZLY MONTANA (3), TOPNOTCH MACH (8), CORPORAL LUNA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (9) to win

RACE SIX

This race shapes as a tricky contest to assess with front line speed queries on a few and varied form-line to weigh up. Leaning to DOLLARBILL (7) who isn’t entirely suited from inside the 2nd line but if he manages to land leaders back, he will get his chance. Strong last start wide off the track at Marburg in a smart last 800m, he will be needing a rub of the green.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (1) should take good benefit from his latest start when 2nd up off a break, yet with a month between the 1st up and 2nd run. He was sound to the line last start behind AMILLION PROMISES and having shown good speed off the arm previously, will get a chance to lead them up.

OASIS DREAM (4) resumes from a break and hasn’t been seen since March when holding on for the bronze in a slippery AP mile. Yet to cash-in at 5 appearances here, his preparatory trial was handy.

COBALT BLUES (9) was hitting the line in good order here last week and in a dour last panel was able to arrive for the prize over the sprint trip. The extra distance might ask a question, but he can place.

SELECTIONS: DOLLARBILL (7), THE CASUAL GOOSE (1), OASIS DREAM (4), COBALT BLUES (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

OUR MAJOR DAY (2) will strip fitter from his latest outing when returning from a spell. Settling in the running line from the 2nd line over the AP mile, he was sound to the line behind the flying SECRETAGENT TYCOON. With good early speed and a top record on the triangle, he gets the nod.

LIVING AGAIN (9) was locked away against the poles last start from an inside 2nd line gate and when the space arrived, he was strong to the line in grabbing the bronze. Forget his run 2 starts back when he struck trouble, he can be in the fight here despite landing the tricky gate.

PATERNITY SUIT (10) has to overcome the map here, but he should appreciate the return to the sprint trip after his 2 runs back from a spell have been over the longer 2138m. He can swoop late.

OYSTER STRIDE (1) has the peg-line benefits and with the options should be able to enjoy a great ride. Not suited when working triple time in the breeze last start, a cosy trip can see him offer.

SELECTIONS: OUR MAJOR DAY (2), LIVING AGAIN (9), PATERNITY SUIT (10), OYSTER STRIDE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MAJOR DAY (2) to win
