"Relief was definitely the feeling when she went over the line she's been the standout filly at the trials and held together really well today."

"She carries a bit of weight but with each bit of work she's looking sharper and sharper she's got to grow into that frame."

"Magic Millions in the Grand Final I was really just hoping she'd win today to boost her prize money, she's done that which might give us the chance to freshen her up before then."

Jockey - Steph Thornton

"She came out there and showed me what I thought she had, at the turn i had a lot of horse underneath me."

"She's a big striding filly and took a while to quicken but when I asked her the question in the last three hundred she really responded."

"She's still very green and has a lot to learn she got a bit hot and bothered behind the barriers, but she'll shake that with experience."

"He's a quality colt this one, he had to overcome the wide barrier today, but he's taken everything in stride and nothing phases him he's a real natural athlete."

"He paraded brilliantly and took that to the track, he's carrying a bit of condition, so he'll only get better."

"We'll probably tip him out now and concentrate on his path towards the Magic Millions."

"It's another advertisment for the sales I was pretty keen on him down there and was lucky enough to get a good group of owners to jump on board and I think they're going to get a good return on their investment."

Jockey - Jim Byrne

"We had no choice than to be positive from the draw and had to do a bit of work early but didn't burn too much in getting forward."

"He travelled sweetly and with the little breather gave a great kick at the two hundred, they all had their chance at him, but he did it well."

"She was on trial today for a trip down South and she's booked her ticket with that performance today."

"We put her in the Flight Stakes a couple of preps ago and she aquitted herself really well and she's a much better mare this time around."

"She was probably at about 90% fitness today it was a very workmanlike performance, she had the run of the race behind the two leaders and when she had that cosy run she did what I expected her to do in a tough little field."

"The Grand Final will be the Empire Rose Group One over a mile on Derby Day."

Jockey - Michael Hellyer

"There have only been two of her races where she's gone with the claim that I haven't ridden her and I can't wait to get to Melbourne and see if she measures up."

"She's done a lot for my career giving me my first Group win and now this opportunity in the Spring I couldn't speak more highly of her."

"She's gone to the next level with how she's learned to settle, she used to like to pull off a moderate pace but she just sat and waited one out one back today."

Trainer - Chris Anderson

"They walked early and he got out the back at the start, and to win off a moderate tempo from there shows the class of horse he is."

"What we do with him now I'm not sure, we'll take stock and I'll have a chat to Duncan Ramage, but it certainly makes you think there could be races for him down south in the carnival."

"He's the most promising and most expensive horse I've had in my short career."

"I know it's not all about what they're worth but pedigree takes you a long way and has me looking forward to what he has to come."

"We did umm and ahh if we were going to bring him back and run him again, but he looked fantastic at home and I'm certainly glad we did."

"We could take him to the Spring Carnival, give him a rest and bring him back for the Summer Carnival and he'll certainly feature in the Winter Carnival in the future as well."

Jockey - Ron Stewart

"That was a big win, he had a number of things against him with the barrier, slow tempo and the weight on his back, but he overcame them all."

"I had to go a little bit early on him off the slow speed and he probably got a bit lost out there in the middle of the track, but was still travelling over that last two hundred."

Trainer - David Vandyke

"Despite his numerical form I was pretty positive coming into the race, I thought he hit the line really strong last start and would appreciate the 1800 metres today."

"They were walking early which is why Ryan popped out and went around them and we found out a bit about him to see him do it from that far out."

"A very good client on mine Rob McClure sent him up to me and thought he was capable of winning some nice staying races in Queensland and hopefully this is the start of something."

"It's nice (winning form), it certainly has me bouncing out of bed in the morning the way the stable is travelling, but I'm sure I'll be a bundle of nerves with Alligator Blood in the Guineas next week."

Jockey - Ryan Maloney

"If the right horse turns up that's what he can do."

"He was caught in a couple of slowly run races the last two out and it was looking like that again today, which is why I took off at the 600."

"We were a bit of a sitting duck, but he kept finding and I think he'll only be better over longer trips."

Stable Rep - Craig Cavanough

"We've been looking for the right race for him and this looked perfect with the distance, weight and Baylee's claim as well."

"He did a great job Baylee he was very patient while the two tear away leaders went at it and brought him into it at the right time."

"The way the horse has been letting down at home I wasn't concerned with the break to the leaders the 1200 was an ideal distance for him."

Jockey - Baylee Nothdurft

"It ended up perfect, Tony said try to get third pair one off the fence give him plenty of room to work in the straight and we were able to get there."

"He's a horse with a tonne of ability he just has run into a few dead ends this prep, everything went right today he deserved this one."

"They were going to hard early I was pretty confident they would stop and we were in the right spot to take advantage."

Magstock-1.jpeg

Trainer - Kelly Schweida

"I was really impressed with what he did first up and thought if things went our way today he had a win like this in him."

"We've figured out you have to get him to the outside, so Jackson did a great job getting back on him and pulling the widest in the straight."

"He didn't handle the heat from all reports when he was in Singapore, but really started to show improvement for us late last prep and has gone on with it this time out."

"He enjoyed the light weight on his back plus the claim from Jackson certainy helped."

Jockey - Jackson Murphy

"I was forced to go back, but he was always travelling and remembering Kelly's instructions I just had to get him to the outside at the right time."

"We didn't have anyone to take us into it coming into the straight so I got itchy fingers and made a move myself and he went to them quickly, if he can put them away like that there are better races to come."

Trainer - Garry Newham

"She's all you could ask for in a horse, she's just so honest puts one hundred percent in every time and that's all you could ask for."

"I don't think she's peaked yet, but she's close, I'll probably take her to Sydney now bring her back and run in the staying race on Magic Millions day."

"I told Matty to go forward and make your own luck, he got her into a nice spot with some cover and presented her where she needed to be in the straight."

Jockey - Matthew McGillivray

"She's a marvel this horse she travelled so clean throughout just let everything unfold around her and them showed that customary fight to get up."

"I wasn't worried about getting too much cover, I was hoping something would take Kubis on in the lead and when that happened it gave us a lovely trail into the race."

Trainer - Michael Lakey

"He's been a bit of a slow maturer, but he's gone through his grades nicely this preparation and developed into a really nice horse, I was very happy how he finished that race off today."

"Her Mother Our Sweet Moss won a couple of group races with Gerald Ryan and has given a bit of that ability to her progeny."

"I think we'll give him a freshen up and in about eight weeks time there is a Magic Millions wildcard race we might have a crack at."

Jockey - Brad Stewart

"I thought today was actually a more impressive week than last time out."

"He's a very easy horse to ride at Eagle Farm just get him out the back and give him plenty of room to wind up in the straight."
