RACE TWO

HANOVER LECTER (2) was 2nd up from a break last start when happy to release after holding the front early. From the pocket trail she was right lined in the stretch to take the closing shot, getting within a head of the winner A RAINBOW DANCER. With early options, this looks within reach.

TEE JAY CEE (1) returns from a spell and comes up with the early options from the ace. Sent for a break after making an error in the Breeders Classic Consolation last start, he has trialled soundly to prepare for this. A half-head 2nd when sent forward when 2nd up, he can look to optimise his chances.

WOODLANDS ROSE (6) has not been too far away, having placed in 2 of her 3 career starts. Working home in good order last start to grab the bronze, she was best of the chasers behind GIDUP CAPTAIN the start prior. Look for her late again.

BELLAVICTREE (5) was asked to race tough last start and only faded the closing stages when mid-field behind A RAINBOW DANCER. With even luck she is a podium chance.

SELECTIONS: HANOVER LECTER (2), TEE JAY CEE (1), WOODLANDS ROSE (6), BELLAVICTREE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HANOVER LECTER (2) to win

RACE THREE

CHASING GREAT (2) is one of two newcomers to the Dixon stable lining up here with this 5YO stepping out without a public trial for his Qld debut. 2 starts back over the 2200m, he was safely away prior to releasing. From the pocket trail he was angle to the outside to finish best. From the front tape he can start in style.

JANSSON (6) has appreciated the return to rating-based handicaps and lines up here for a hat-trick of victories. Securing the pocket trail here 2 starts back, he took the gap when it opened down the back to forge clear to victory and followed that with an all the way effort last week. Back to 10m, he can still throw it down.

I ASKED NICELY (7) resumes from an enforced let-up after being banished to the trials last time out. Earning the return, his manners are a big concern but if he can trot cleanly, this race is well within his reach.

ALADDIN SANE (5) is the other 1st starter for the Dixon barn and has trialled in good order in preparation. A four-time winner in New Zealand, he will be under watch here.

SELECTIONS: CHASING GREAT (2), JANSSON (6), I ASKED NICELY (7), ALADDIN SANE (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Not receiving any favours from outside the front line, HELLO ITS ME (7) can still look to land the loot here. Runner-up in 3 of her past 5 starts, she was attacking the line in good style last start when 3m in arrears of the winner ROCKS OR DIAMONDS. Grabbed on the line the start prior, there looks some tempo which will help her chances.

SUNNY RICE (10) was 2nd up from a freshen here last week and found conditions to suit when sent straight to the front from gate 3 over the 2138m. Controlling the tempo through the opening half, there were bullets in the chamber in holding on to claim a 5m victory. The gate stings, but she can still challenge.

JEWEL OF PEAK (6) was required to do her share of work in the run last start when cutting the breeze over the sprint trip at Marburg. Fighting gamely, it had followed an all the way win when 1st up from a break. The gate hurts but she can feature.

BLISSFULDAY (1) made the most of gate 1 at Redcliffe last start to take them all the way over the 2040m trip. This is a step up, but with the gate advantage he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: HELLO ITS ME (7), SUNNY RICE (10), JEWEL OF PEAK (6), BLISSFULDAY (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

MISTER COLE (9)
took on the lamp lighting duties last start from gate 2 and despite copping some heat in the run was looking to fight them off. Only ROCKS OR DIAMONDS who had found his back was able to get past in the stretch. Buried in the run last start, with placings his past 3, he can look to cash-in here.

IL MAXIMUS (10) was dominant when leading all the way over the 2138m here on Friday night to complete a hat-trick of victories. Returning from a spell at Redcliffe, he went 2 for 2 this campaign when pulling clear to score a dominant 14m victory over the 2040m. This is a rise in class, but with the right cart into the contest, he can throw it down.

JOEY LINCOLN (7) returns from a break after 2 wins last campaign. Working home from back in the pack to score at Redcliffe 2 runs back, he was sent for a break after an issue de-railed his preparation. With a smart trial to prepare, he has podium claims.

LANCELOT BROMAC (4) was sent forward from gate 6 to get up outside the leader last time out and was not that far from the winner SUNNY RICE. In this line-up he can launch a claim.

SELECTIONS: MISTER COLE (9), IL MAXIMUS (10), JOEY LINCOLN (7), LANCELOT BROMAC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER COLE (9) to win

RACE SIX

KIWIS ARE FLYING (5)
certainly is! Keeping a perfect record in landing the threepeat here last week, he has scored a pair of wins at the mile and a string win after starting from gate 7 over the 2138m. Too strong 1st up when powering over the top to claim victory, he had them chasing in vain last start. Pressing ahead, he looks hard to stop.

VIRGIL (2) was content to trail last start from gate 1 and then made the most of the passing lane to out-sprint them up the stretch to claim victory over the 2138m. Working home from back in the pack the start prior to get within a neck of the winner at Redcliffe, he can fire the 1st shot here and then have options to call on.

DELIGHTFUL MAJOR (8) had no luck last start when progressing 3-wide but denied the position outside the leader. Fading under the tough run, he will be better suited with a cosy trip here and will be searching for an opening to offer.

BETTERTHANAJEEP (9) has been kept fresh between runs, his last outing coming when down the line behind HANDSOME HERO. Strong in defeat the start prior, he can follow through early to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: KIWIS ARE FLYING (5), VIRGIL (2), DELIGHTFUL MAJOR (8), BETTERTHANAJEEP (9)
SUGGESTED BET: KIWIS ARE FLYING (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

LITTLE CHANGE (5) eased from gate 5 over the mile here last week to settle at the rear of the field. Making a strong closing sprint, he was never in the mix yet was still able to record the fastest individual closing splits of the day. Strong here on Saturday night when only 4m from the winner, this looks his chance to cash-in.

THATS HOW WEROLL (8) was buried away from this gate 3 starts back and looking for space when 5m from the winner HANDSOME HERO who came out and won again on Saturday night. A tidy 3rd here 2 starts ago, he will be probing for openings to offer a challenge and if the gaps arrive, he can provide a slick closing sprint.

PSYCHEDELIC (9) showed some early speed prior to releasing over the mile 2 starts back and chased to grab the silver behind PACIFIC DRUMS. Chiming in late here last start, he will be looking to make a closing play.

HAVANA MOON (1) was soon buried in the run here 2 starts back and chasing in vain as LENNY THE LEGEND took control. Down the line behind that same winner last start, this looks more suitable.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE CHANGE (5), THATS HOW WEROLL (8), PSYCHEDELIC (9), HAVANA MOON (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE CHANGE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

NIMAH FRANCO (8) angled to the pegs from gate 3 last start to look for the short-cuts when resuming of a freshen. Chasing gamely behind the airborne KIWIS ARE FLYING, it was a tidy return. Placed in all 4 starts since arriving in Qld from across the Tasman, she can be coiled, ready to strike.

THE FORTUNATE SON (6) was stamped urgent off the arm last start to take control out in front. With the power on out in front, he as never in danger when bolting clear to claim a 20m victory in a new career PB of 1.52.4. The wide gate is a stinger, but likely to be in on the action, he can challenge.

MAN OF ACTION (4) has been in good touch since arriving in Qld and franked 2 close up 2nds when taking them all the way last start. Grabbed in the closing strides 1st up, he was a passing lane 2nd to SOHO TSUNAMI 2nd up. He is in the mix.

SOHO TSUNAMI (1) will take further benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a spell. Returning with a strong win, the form from that race has held with 2nd and 3rd both subsequent winners. With the options he can capitalise.

SELECTIONS: NIMAH FRANCO (8), THE FORTUNATE SON (6), MAN OF ACTION (4), SOHO TSUNAMI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-6-8

RACE NINE

The closing race looks a cracker with some in-form campaigners clashing in a frontline that looks to have plenty of speed. Not brilliant out of the NURBURGRING (2) might just be able to muster enough power early to press forward. Too strong in front over this trip last start when pressing on to the front, he can look for a repeat.

LENNY THE LEGEND (10) had been continually breaking the clock with his closing sectionals as he was building towards a drought breaking victory. Capitalising here 2 starts back over the mile when taking control in front, he backed it up with a repeat victory on Sat night in tough style. Look for him charging late.

SO KOOL MASTER (1) was a Marburg winner last start when finishing over the top of a small field to claim a tidy win. Best when saved for a closing shot, he can be tucked in behind and ready to strike.

PACIFIC DRUMS (5) pressed forward to take control from gate 4 over the mile here last start and once in control held on for a comfortable victory. Not far away the start prior, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: NURBURGRING (2), LENNY THE LEGEND (10), SO KOOL MASTER (1), PACIFIC DRUMS (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
