RACE ONE

SWORD AND SHIELD (2) finally lands a marble after a sustained streak of bad gates. Snagging back from gate 6 last start, he would have been closer with s clearer passage when hitting dead-ends to be 6m from the winner JOVIAL JULIE. Settling closer to the action he can capitalise.

SEA HAWKE (8) eased from gate 4 to find position last start before working home in nice order behind the smart looking DELIGHTFUL MAJOR. Beaten by gate 5 the start prior when retreating to find position, he should be nearing full fitness after 4 runs back. With a 75% top-3 strike rate at Redcliffe, he can challenge.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (4) was taken back from gate 7 last start over the AP mile in a 2nd division qualifier and despite being officially last, his individual splits were good. He can chime in here.

LUCKY LYLA (7) was sent forward from gate 6 in a mares event 2 starts back and doing the hard yards held on for a narrow win. Somehow beaten last start by a half-head margin, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: SWORD AND SHIELD (2), SEA HAWKE (8), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (4), LUCKY LYLA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SWORD AND SHIELD (2) to win

RACE TWO

BRIGHTON PRINCE (1) will be tightened from his latest outing when returning from a break. Buried from inside the 2nd line, he was not that far from them. Meeting stronger opponents than he faces off against here, he lands all the aces from the gate and with early hustler can keep them chasing.

MUCHO GUAPA (7) landed gate 5 last time out when sent forward to get outside the leader. Toiling hard, she was too strong in a slogging half-neck victory over the 2040m. That was reward following successive 2nd placed returns and with what looks a cosy trip can be looking for the snipers shot.

HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (9) is still looking to get out from last start when bolting but stuck in gridlock. Only 2m from the winner, his win 3 starts back from this same gate was smart and he will be swooping.

NIKALONG HENRY (5) worked forward to sit outside the leader and winner JOVIAL JULIE last start and was in for the grind when only finishing a neck away. He looks set to work again and can be in the fight.

SELECTIONS: BRIGHTON PRINCE (1), MUCHO GUAPA (7), HOLDINGNO CURRENCY (9), NIKALONG HENRY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BRIGHTON PRINCE (1) to win

RACE THREE

LITTLE CHANGE (8) took on a strong Band 5 contest on Saturday night where he retreated from gate 6 to find position and from there was facing a tough task. Hitting the line hard here 2 starts back when within 2m of the winner, he claimed victory from this gate 3 starts back. With the right early trail, he can arrive.

BET IM SPECIAL (2) was sent straight to the front from this gate last time out over the 2040m and after a steady opening 800m couldn’t see it out. Runner-up at both starts prior including a close 2nd to the in-form ITZ MY GENERATION, he can fire the opening shot here and be gripping on late.

CLASSIE AMERICAN (6) should appreciate this class of opponent after meeting tougher types in recent starts. Hitting the line in nice closing splits behind ITZ MY GENERATION last time, the gate is a stinger.

LA PLAYER (3) retreated from gate 6 last start over the 1780m and from well back was facing a task. Finishing best here 2 starts back, he can settle closer from the improved gate and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE CHANGE (8), BET IM SPECIAL (2), CLASSIE AMERICAN (6), LA PLAYER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE CHANGE (8) to win

RACE FOUR

GIGANTIC JASPER (1)
is still after his 1st win for the 2020 calendar year but looks to have found suitable conditions here. Placed his past 2 attempts over his less preferred 2040m distance, he was closing nicely last start for the silver when 4.5m away. Holding the keys to this race, he can open the door.

PIN CODE (3) returns from a freshen after finishing in 3rd when stepping out following a stable switch for the 1st time. Eased from gate 5 to find position in that event, she was strong to the line when 4m in arrears of the winner. Luckless when charging home the start prior, she can throw it down in this.

PATCHWORK JET (7) looks set to enjoy an easy trip here and will be ready to make a closing play when the gaps arrive. Gate 9 saw him settle too far back when the race was controlled at the front last start. He will be probing.

GIRL ON THE GO (9) will be nearing full fitness after 3 runs back from a break, the latest when within 3m of the winner DAPPER BESSIE. Only a neck away when 2nd up when grabbed by LUCKY LYLA, she can be steaming home.

SELECTIONS: GIGANTIC JASPER (1), PIN CODE (3), PATCHWORK JET (7), GIRL ON THE GO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GIGANTIC JASPER (1) to win

RACE FIVE

TRENTLEIGH (3) wasn’t suited last start when obliged to roll the sleeves for the tough stuff and duly wilted under the run over the 2040m. Finishing strongly to grab the silver behind BLACKJEWEL here 2 starts back, he can flash early speed here to get forward and at his 100th outing on The Triangle can raise the bat in style.

TILDALYN (1) settled in the running line from a 2nd line gate over the 1780m here 2 starts back when finishing over the top to claim a 2m victory. Retreating from gate 4 to find position last start she was able to grab the bronze behind a clear out winner. With the improved gate, she gets her chance.

DUKE (6) broke through for his 1st win since arriving from the Shaky Isles here last week when finishing best to claim a 4m victory. With place claims, the gate dents the hopes for a repeat win.

ABBEY DIADEMA (8) has been to the track 7 times since returning from a break and has hit the board in 5 of those. 5m from BONNIES CAM last start, she can be thereabouts once again here.

SELECTIONS: TRENTLEIGH (3), TILDALYN (1), DUKE (6), ABBEY DIADEMA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: TRENTLEIGH (3) to win

RACE SIX

ROWDYS ACE (1) was closing soundly last start when 6m from the winner SWAFFHAM WATER. The start prior he was doing his share of early work to find position when making a late play to be within 1m of the winner HIT THE TRACK. With the options form the gate, he gets his chance.

MISTER COLE (7) lands inside the 2nd line once again to make it his past 3 in succession from gate 7 here at The Triangle. Making a closing play to get within a half-neck of the winner SOMEBEACHSOMEGIFT last start, he was luckless the start prior. With this an easier line-up than his past 2, if he can grab a slice of luck here, he can challenge.

ARCHILLES (8) will strip fitter following his latest start when returning after 14 months on the sidelines. Working wide off the track as the fav, it was a tidy return and he can be chiming in late.

BARBOO (2) was beaten by gate 6 last start when snagging back early and settling a long way back I the pack. 3m away the start prior when settling in the pocket trail, he can be close up here.

SELECTIONS: ROWDYS ACE (1), MISTER COLE (7), ARCHILLES (8), BARBOO (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

A tough one to line-up here where despite a wide gate CATCH THE BOUQUET (5) who has been knocking on the door might just be able to find an opening. Runner-up her past 2 in succession, she found the line strongly last start when 3m from the winner CARIBBEAN ROCKET from this same gate.

MANOFLISA (6) has no favours from the carpark but is in nice touch of late with 2 wins and a placing in his past 4 starts. Slicing through from the 2nd line in the early stages last start to find the front, he powered home to a 16m victory. He will need to be wide at some point but can look to challenge.

ITS YOU NOT ME (9) tried to take them all the way last start from gate 1 but was gunned down in the stretch when 4m from the winner. With even luck in transit he can be chiming in late.

SISTER FEELGOOD (4) settled in the 1x1 trail from gate 2 last start when 5m from the winner CARIBBEAN ROCKET. Getting closer to a win in this company, limiting the early burn will be key.

SELECTIONS: CATCH THE BOUQUET (5), MANOFLISA (6), ITS YOU NOT ME (9), SISTER FEELGOOD (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CATCH THE BOUQUET (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

DESTINY JANE (8) returns from a long break after 6 starts in her 2YO term that didn’t net a return. Still green in those outings and facing tough gates in the last 4 of those, she was sent to the paddock. After 12 months off the scenes, she has trialled twice in good order and despite another tough gate, can strike 1st up.

ARKADY (9) landed in the pocket trail last start from inside the 2nd line and was best of the rest behind the big winner BEE GEES BEST. Placed in 4 of her past 6 starts, she held on for the bronze 4 starts back when within 3m of the winner PROMISES MADE. The gate stings but she has claims.

IAM ROCHELLES ART (4) was not suited last start when forced to face the breeze and after the tough trip wilted. Placed her previous 2 from the front and the trail, she can settle handy here to chime in.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (6) had been building towards a win and was able to break free of the maiden tag last start. Settling in the trail, he finished best for win number 1. Despite the gate he can take some confidence from the win.

SELECTIONS: DESTINY JANE (8), ARKADY (9), IAM ROCHELLES ART (4), FORTYFIVE ROCK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DESTINY JANE (8) to win

RACE NINE

MALABAR SPUR (2) has been buried in the run in recent starts, the past 2 here at Redcliffe where she has been locked away and requiring luck in the run to make a challenge. Still searching for her first victory in Qld, she can look to capitalise on the front line here and closer to the action, might have found the right conditions.

SOH TWISTED (5) secured the trail last start to then chase home for the bronze behind AURORA over the 2280m trip. That made it 3 straight 3rd placed finishes to follow a 6m margin behind DOUG over the 2138m and a 2m margin behind CLOVER LOU. Her manners are a big plus for this.

JETER (8) stepped cleanly last start prior to releasing to secure the cosy trip throughout. Using the passing lane to get within 2m of the winner TORFINO MIST, he will appreciate this class of contest despite the 20m tape.

LAVROS SEGIL (4) will take great benefit from his latest start when returning from a break from a 10m tape here on Friday. Working forward, he worked hard in the run but win for the grind when 7m in arrears. He can feature here.

SELECTIONS: MALABAR SPUR (2), SOH TWISTED (5), JETER (8), LAVROS SEGIL (4)
SUGGESTED BET:
