The Young Guns began in 2003 won by Bogie Leigh – Trained by Tony Brett

Only 2 greyhounds have won this event more than once and they are:

Wise Forecast – Trained by Red Hazelgrove in May 2012 & August 2012

White Hornet – Trained by Ray Burman in 2013 & 2014 Ipswich’s latest winner in 2017 was Go Lassie Go – Trained by Darren Russell

The fastest greyhound to win a Young Guns final was Swap Ya in a track record time of 30.41 – Trained by Tony Apap.
