Gold Coast Cup

The newly named Gold Coast Cup serves as one of the feature events of the Queensland racing season, hosting a stellar program of live racing with over a million dollars in prize money.

Gold Coast Cup is also a very popular fashion event, where attendees dress in their race-day finest with tailored suits for the men and colourful dresses, hats and headwear for the ladies. This year we will be boasting some ‘golden’ new initiatives on track and themed Fashions on the Field!

Exclusive dining packages are available on the day in our Skyline and Gallery Restaurants. The Canary Bar will be back in The Dome unravelling some new tantalizing food offerings. Be sure to book early!

FACILITIES

Might & Power Bar

Located on the ground level of the Gold Coast Turf Club, the Might & Power bar offers an undercover area to enjoy drinks, full betting facilities and TV’s to view the races with the race track only a hop skip and a jump away!

The Snack Bar

Located on the ground floor, near the main ticket gate, the Snack Bar is your one-stop shop for tasty burgers, ice-creams, hot chips and cold drinks.

CPR Bar

The CPR Bar is located on the ground floor near the betting ring, with live music, sports screens and betting facilities.

An ideal venue to spend your day at the track, in the comfort of air-conditioning and close to the live racing action!

Located just 10 metres from the front of the grandstand lawn area and winning post, you can almost hear the horses’ heart’s pumping as they race by you.

Once the trackside live racing has finished for the day, you can keep the party going in the comfort of our CPR Bar. With live music and open till late, the CPR Bar is the perfect after party venue to kick on through the night.

DRESS CODE OR REQUIREMENTS

The Gold Coast Turf Club has specific dress regulations for the members, function and public areas, so please view below for more information. Including Rails Bar, Prime Ministers Bar, Members Lounge Level 2, The Boardroom, Skyline Restaurant, Skyline Mezzanine, The Gallery, Corporate Suites, The Dome, Winners Circle, Paradise Room and the Gold Coast Event Centre.

Ladies are allowed to wear dresses and skirts, tailored trousers, one-piece outfits with tailored pants or shorts, dress jeans. All are are acceptable Racewear for Ladies in our Members and Functions areas.

Gentlemen are encouraged to wear suits, collared shirts, tailored trousers with belt or dress jeans with dress shoes. These are all acceptable attire for gentlemen in our Members and Functions areas

Public Areas including members and public car parks, public bars, public betting and southern lawn. Gentlemen & Ladies;

  • Minimum respectable dress standards are required for general admission.
  • Footwear must be worn at all times.
  • Dress t-shirts, collared shirts, jumpers, dress shorts and jeans are acceptable attire in our public areas.

FASHIONS ON THE FIELD

Aquis Park, Gold Coast Turf Club is excited to deliver a reinvigorated Fashions on the Field for 2018 to celebrate fashion and racing. The competition will continue to celebrate and showcase winning style and elegance whilst keeping on trend for the racing season.

The 2018 competition will commence with our inaugural Gold Coast Cup and will lead into Spring Carnival. Fashions on the Field is a great opportunity for men and women to explore the latest fashion trends by displaying style and elegance on the following race days; Gold Coast Cup, Derby Day & Melbourne Cup.

We are excited to deliver a readily available competition for all to celebrate trend, tradition and taste, both on & off the track!

Raceday Courtesy Bus

The Gold Coast Turf Club is pleased to provide its patrons with a FREE courtesy bus on our weekend racedays, unless otherwise advised.

It travels from/to Tweed Heads through to Surfers Paradise (and all stops in between). We also now offer an additional courtesy bus on weekend racedays, that services Runaway Bay, Harbourtown and Southport..

The returning Courtesy Bus will depart from Gold Coast Turf Club 15 minutes after the last local race or last metropolitan race, depending upon which finishes last (excluding WA).

** PLEASE NOTE – BUSES WILL BE CANCELLED IF RACES ARE ABANDONED. **

* This timetable is on QLD time and is NOT valid on Feature Racedays. Please visit the specific event page for the timetable of our Courtesy Bus on Feature Racedays. The Courtesy Bus is not available on mid-week racedays.
