Race 1: Callaghan Park Stayer’s Series BM 70 Handicap - 2213 metres
1st BARGE AND CHARGE 2nd RADIANT JOY 3rd KHADIJA 4th - FORBARREL

Acting on a report from the Integrity Regulation Unit with regard to a lump that was evident on the off side neck of DE LA DILO, the gelding was inspected on its arrival at the course and it was determined that it was not of recent origin. Stewards questioned trainer M. Dale, who stated that the lump was from therapeutic administrations in the lead-up to today's race which had ceased yesterday morning. There was no other evidence of race day treatment, and pre-race urine sample were obtained.

ROWEINER - On jumping was crowded for room between BARGE AND CHARGE and FOREVER MORE. Trainer W. Kenning reported that the mare will now be sent for a spell.

ELOVACHILL - Began awkwardly and raced ungenerously until near the 1600 metres, shifted out from the heels of DIOXIDES and took up a forward position.

FORBARREL - Raced ungenerously in the early stages and then raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Eric Railton Memorial Class 2 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st NADHIMA 2nd GINGA GAL 3rd CREDITABLE 4th - MURAYANNA

GINGA GAL - Was a little fractious prior to the start and when the start was effected sat back and was slow to begin.

WHAT'S UP SNIP - Near the 900 metres when racing keenly was placed in restricted room and had to be eased.

SUPERIOR DRAGON - Began awkwardly. Approaching the 600 metres when over-racing had to be steadied when SPOOKY MOO, which was racing greenly, shifted ground.

LEAD THE WAY - When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, Jockey B. Stewart reported that it hung in from the 300 metres, was unable to be fully tested and had to be eased from the heels of CREDITABLE near the 100 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was exhibiting signs of mildly tying up behind.

Race 3: PKF Hacketts Open Handicap - 1050 metres
1st SAY I WON'T 2nd COVERT CHARMOUR 3rd MARINA SANDS 4th - HOTEL PARADISO

HOTEL PARADISO - Pre-race veterinary examination of the gelding, which raced on Thursday, cleared it to take its place in the field.

MARINA SANDS - Bounded in the air on jumping.

COVERT CHARMOUR - Near the 900 metres made contact with the hindquarters of SCHOORWIN.

PYGMY HUNTER - Hung out from the 900 metres and raced wide for the remainder of the event.

SCHOORWIN - Near the 900 metres, become unbalanced and lost some ground. Rider reported that his mount was inclined to hang out in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

TYPHOON - Rider reported that his mount had raced flat and that the trainer intends to confer with connections prior to making any decision about its future racing program.

PRINCELY - Rider reported that his mount hung out for the majority of the event.

Race 4: The Capricornian Community Owned Banking QTIS 3YO Plate - 1600 metres
1st WALK TO THE BAR 2nd EKKAREEZA 3rd NO PROBLEM 4th - FIRE WITHIN

CURLEY GREY - Slow to begin.

LARABEE - Near the 800 metres improved up onto the heels of another runner. Rider dropped his whip leaving the 400 metres.

Race 5: Capricornia Yearling Sales April 2016 QTIS 2YO Plate - 1300 metres
1st SUPREME JET 2nd LEGAL PROCEDURE 3rd STRONG WILL 4th - ARQUATAS

IT'S VEGAS BABY - A late scratching, at 1.33 p.m. by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was lame in the near fore knee. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to the horse being permitted to race again.

SECOND TIME AROUND and STRONG WILL - Both raced on Thursday, were examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to today's race and cleared to take their place in the field.

ARQUATAS - Prior to the race trainer R. Vale was directed that the filly must remain on course for 2 hours post-race so that blood and urine samples could be obtained.

AHMAR STAR - Slow to begin.

MCCAPHE - Rider reported that his mount may have got its tongue over the bit. Trainer B. Kenning advised stewards that a tongue-tie will be added to the gelding's approved gear.

FUZZY MELON - Jockey reported that his mount raced greenly throughout.

STRONG WILL - Near the 900 metres was eased from the heels of SECOND TIME AROUND.

CASINO THOUGHTS - Near the 900 metres became unbalanced when racing to the inside of SUPREME JET, struck the running rail and lost some ground.

SUPREME JET- Jockey B. Stewart was fined $200 under A.R.137A for using his whip prior to the 100 metres two more times than is permitted under the rule.

Race 6: Claude Green Memorial C, G & E Class 3 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - GROOMED FOR GLORY 2nd - JUST CALL ME LOUIE 3rd - FAST FOCUS 4th - ELJAY ATOM

BENNY'S HALO - Slow to begin and lost ground.

ELJAY ATOM - Struck the running rail near the 900 metres, became awkward and lost ground.

WIDE EYED - Raced ungenerously near the 900 metres, hung out slightly, and took LUCK AND FAME wider. Near the 700 metres was steadied from the heels of HUGHIE AND ME, and dipped.

FAST FOCUS- Was awkwardly placed on the heels of WIDE EYED near the 700 metres and had to be eased.

MT ZIGGARO - At approximately the 800 metres raced in restricted room to the inside of FAST FOCUS.

LUCK AND FAME- Raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 350 metres JUST CALL ME LOUIE and GROOMED FOR GLORY both attempted to take a run forward of them, however GROOMED FOR GLORY was disappointed and unable to obtain clear running, and had to be shifted out to improve.

Race 7: Advanced Exhausts Rockhampton Cup Open Handicap - 1600 metres
1st - VICTORY HOTEL 2nd - CASINO BENJO 3rd - DANAGAZE 4th - CASTLE EXPRESS

MYTHOLOGIST and MOTORISED, both of which raced at Rockhampton on Thursday, were examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take their place in the field.

MOTORISED - Trainer F. Smith was fined $100 under L.R.67 for the late declaration of Jockey A. Taylor as the rider of the gelding. Raced wide throughout.

PEACE TALKS - Acting on a report from the Integrity Regulation Unit, stewards questioned trainer T. Austin regarding race-day treatment for the gelding in the lead-up to today's event. Mr Austin explained that the gelding had been administered vitamins in the lead-up to the event. Acting on the veterinarian's report of no identifiable site of injection, consistent with this explanation, a pre-race urine sample was taken from the gelding. Slow to begin. Near the 900 metres, rider had to take evasive action to avoid fallen horses and riders.

CASINO BENJO - Prior to the declaration of correct weight Jockey B. El-Issa viewed the photo finish image for third placing. Having done so, he was satisfied with the judge's placings, and correct weight was declared.

HATZIS - Slow to begin.

TINTS- Near the 900 metres, rider had to take evasive action to avoid fallen horses and riders.

ESCOFFIER- Near the 900 metres, rider had to take evasive action to avoid fallen horses and riders.

VICTORY HOTEL- Near the 900 metres, rider had to take evasive action to avoid fallen horses and riders.

Near the 900 metres POWER RANGER (App. S. Fawke) dislodged its rider and fell. Subsequently VANDALISED (Jockey B. Stewart) was unable to avoid the fallen horse and rider and also fell. In the incident Jockey Coome, the rider of CHOICE BRO, was also dislodged from his mount. Stewards opened an inquiry into the incident and after taking initial evidence from a number of riders stewards adjourned the inquiry to allow App. Fawke and Jockey Coome to give evidence.

Veterinary examinations of POWER RANGER and VANDALISED revealed that POWER RANGER had blood present in its mouth and both nostrils and an initial examination revealed that VANDALISED had sustained a laceration of the near fetlock, which was treated. CHOICE BRO had blood in its mouth, a number of lacerations and swelling of its chest, and was also treated. Trainers of all horses involved in the incident will be required to obtain veterinary clearances prior to their being permitted to race again. Subsequently trainer J. McConachy reported on returning to the stables VANDALISED this injury extended into the sheath of the tendon, which had been cleaned and stitched. Mr McConachy said that it was his intention to suggest the retirement of the gelding.

Race 8: Phil Peel Jewellers Diamond F&M Class 3 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - HIDDEN NATURE 2nd - MAMSELLE CORDAY 3rd - RELEVANT GIRL 4th - HOYWEDGE

The start of this race was rescheduled to 4.44 p.m. whilst Ambulance Officers attended to the fallen riders.

HONOUR THE DAME - Was slow to begin. Near 900 metres, became unbalanced.

HOYWEDGE - Slow to begin.

ANGEL'S CROWN - Began awkwardly.

FREE TO ROAM - Trainer R. West was questioned regarding the circumstances surrounding the mare resuming since October 2010. Mr West stated that he was aware that it had a small tear of a tendon previously and when it was realised that FREE TO ROAM would not be a breeding proposition, the mare was returned to its preparation. He was not aware of any further veterinary issues. A pre-race veterinary examination cleared the horse to take its place in the field. Slow into stride.

SHARDAY - Due to an error in communication in relation to the declaration of rider for the mare, Jockey J. Watkins replaced Jockey J. P. Stanley. Jumped in onto LET IT SNOW, then shifted out and made contact with RELEVANT GIRL.
