Race 1: Warner Building Group Class 6 Plate - 1300 metres
1st SPRING ROSE 2nd COURT CLOWN 3rd CUMANI 4th - CASIROLL

SPRING ROSE - Was steadied and lost ground when tightened for room shortly after the start.

MISHANI GLADIATOR - Slow to begin.

IMBOSTERIA - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 2: Shanahan Swaffield Partners QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1050 metres
1st OUR BOY HOUDINI 2nd POWER ON HARRY 3rd PRINCESS RHYTHM 4th - AMBER'S GIRL

PRINCESS RHYTHM - Shifted in at the start and bumped POWER ON HARRY. Apprentice R. Payne replaced App. N. Vuille, who was unable to claim her full allowance in accordance with A.R. 92(12). Stewards accepted the explanation of App. Vuille as to why she was unable to claim down to her riding weight today.

TROPICAL STORM - The start was delayed when the gelding proved difficult to load into the barriers. A short distance after the start shifted out abruptly. Raced wide throughout.

FATAL FINALE - Near the 900 metres had to be steadied and lost significant ground when tightened for room.

COURTZIG - Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the event.

MISHANI CHANEL - Slow to begin. Near the 900 metres was steadied when tightened for room and lost ground.

OUR BOY HOUDINI - Was slow to begin.

POWER ON HARRY - Bumped at the start. Jockey A. Butler was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that near the 900 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of MISHANI CHANEL (App. K. Aho), which had to be steadied. FATAL FINALE (A. Taylor), which was racing to the inside of MISHANI CHANEL, was also tightened for room as a consequence and lost significant ground. Jockey Butler was suspended from racing for a period covering 6 Queensland meetings, to commence at midnight on Saturday 18th July 2015, and to expire at midnight on Sunday 26th July 2015.

THE FOGARTY KID - Was slow to begin. Shortly after the start had to be steadied from the heels of TROPICAL STORM.

AMBER'S GIRL - Over the final 200 metres laid in under pressure.

Race 3: XXXX Gold QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap - 1050 metres
1st ZANNYAH 2nd ARQUATAS 3rd CAREFILLY 4th - LEMON PEPPER

The start was delayed when ZANNYAH (App. D. Evans), ARQUATAS (Jockey D. Evans) and CAREFILLY (Jockey A. Butler all proved difficult to load into the barriers.

The start was then further delayed when SONADOR ROSE ( App. R. Payne) became fractious in the barriers and was declared a late scratching, by order of the stewards acting on veterinary advice, at 1.15 p.m. Subsequently they ordered that all bets made on SONADOR ROSE be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply with SP’s subject to the deductions:

5¢ in the dollar for the win, for the winner, SONADOR ROSE
6¢ in the dollar for the place, for the winner, SONADOR ROSE
3¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, ARQUATAS
7¢ in the dollar for the place for 3rd, CAREFILLY

Trainer V. Vagg was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for SONADOR ROSE before it will be permitted to race again.

NOTHING BUT FUN - Slow to begin. Jockey A. Lawrence pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under A.R. 137(a) in that near the 900 metres he permitted SUNRISE GLORY to shift in when insufficiently clear of NOTHING BUT FUN, which clipped heels and lost significant ground. Jockey Lawrence was suspended from riding in races for a period covering 3 Central Queensland meetings, to commence at midnight on Saturday 18th July 2015, and to expire at midnight on Thursday, 30th July 2015. After suffering the interference the gelding failed to take any further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

SUNRISE GLORY - Slow to begin.

CASINO PUSSY - Began awkwardly.

LEMON PEPPER - Raced 3 wide without cover.

ARQUATAS - Shifted out under pressure over the last 100 metres.

Race 4: Hahn 3.5 Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st RACING HARADA 2nd THANK YOU 3rd SOUL SERENADE 4th - BULLETIN BELLE

GRAND HOTEL - When App. N. Vuille was unable to claim down to her riding weight, and no other suitable apprentice rider was available, stewards permitted App. Vuille to ride the gelding 1kg above her allocated weight. Raced wide throughout.

ESPRIT LIGHT - The start was delayed when the mare refused to load into the barriers. Stewards ordered the late scratching of ESPRIT LIGHT at 1.48 p.m. and that all bets made on the mare be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply with SP’s subject:

5¢ in the dollar for the win, for the winner, RACING HARADA
5¢ in the dollar for the place, for the winner, RACING HARADA
6¢ in the dollar for 2nd, THANK YOU
6¢ in the dollar for 3rd, SOUL SERENADE.

Trainer T. Williams was advised that the mare must obtain a further barrier certificate before being permitted to race again.

TATONE - Trainer J. Manzelmann was fined $100 under A.R. 59A for failing to produce the Thoroughbred Identification Certificate for the gelding.

MORE VALUE - Slow to begin. Held up for clear running over the concluding stages. Jockey Whiteley reported that it was his intention to take up a handy position, but after being slow to begin was obliged to race at the rear of the field.

HERE HE IS - Slow to begin.

ERNIE'S WORLD - Slow to begin.

CATCH A GLIMPSE - Slow to begin, then raced 3 wide without cover throughout.

THANK YOU - Bumped on jumping.

CHAIN THE GATE - Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped THANK YOU.

MURTASKILL - Held up for clear running over the concluding stages.

AMAZZLER - Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.

BULLETIN BELLE - When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the mare, App. R. Payne stated that it was her intention to settle further back in the field, however after beginning well the mare commenced to over-race and consequently she allowed it to stride forward and take up a position outside the leader.

Race 5: Toohey's New QTIS 3-Y-O Handicap - 1050 metres
1st CHARCOAL MELODY 2nd MISTER BOOZE 3rd RECTIFIER 4th - MAMSELLE CORDAY

PRETTY KITTY - When Apprentice N. Vuille was unable to claim her full allowance, Apprentice K. Aho was substituted. App. Aho was questioned regarding her riding passing the 600 metres and in the early stages of the home straight. App. Aho stated that at this point the filly commenced to hang out, resulting in it shifting wider on the track, despite her efforts

QUICK ASSAULT - Difficult to load and delayed the start.

LALITA - Slow to begin.

MAMSELLE CORDAY - Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped CLAPPERS. Following the race trainer T. McMahon reported that the filly had sustained an abrasion to its head after CHARCOAL MELODY, which was drawn beside it became fractious in the barriers.

CLAPPERS - Bumped at the start. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.

QUICK ASSAULT - Lost ground at the start after being bumped by CLAPPERS.

MISTER BOOZE - Near the 900 metres had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of PRETTY KITTY.


Race 6: XXXX Bitter Class 1 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st - WAR NOISE 2nd - ALPINE GOLD 3rd - HIDDEN CHIEF 4th - SUNDAY SAGA

The start was delayed when ALPINE GOLD got its off hind leg caught in the barriers. The gelding was removed from the barriers, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.

HIDDEN CHIEF - Slow to begin.

WAR NOISE - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.

DORSAL FIN - Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.

RACEY MACEY - Slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the 500 metres and had to be steadied from the heels of DORSAL FIN near the 300 metres. Continued to be held up for clear running until near the 150 metres, where it was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of BEST HURRAH and only obtained clear running over the final 100 metres.

ALPINE GOLD - Near the 900 metres had to be steadied when tightened for room between HIDEN CHIEF and JUST ONE WISH, which shifted in and away from DORSAL FIN (C. McIver). Jockey C. McIver was reprimanded.

BEST HURRAH - Raced 5 wide without cover throughout.

JUST ONE WISH - Slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey M. Haley, the rider of ALPINE GOLD which finished second, to view the patrol film to determine whether to lodge an objection against WAR NOISE (App. D. Evans) being declared the winner alleging interference near the 900 metres. Having done so, Jockey Haley and the stable representative elected not to lodge a protest, and correct weight was declared on the judge's numbers.

Race 7: Summer Bright With Lime Class 1 Handicap - 1400 metres
1st - MACHO TYCOON 2nd - FONDUE 3rd - TREMONT 4th - SOLE ILLUSION

MACHO TYCOON - Stewards accepted the explanation by trainer Z. Hohn for the late declaration of Jockey A. Butler as rider of the gelding.

TRACONI - Upon arriving on course trainer T. Button advised that the filly had become cast in its box at the stables. A veterinary examination pre-race revealed TRACONI to be lame in the near foreleg. Stewards ordered the late scratching of the filly at 1.35 p.m. Mr Button was advised that he must provide a veterinary clearance prior to TRACONI being permitted to race again.

SAY MY NAME - Near the 1200 metres was steadied from the heels of TREMENT.

TREMENT - Over-raced in the early stages and had to be steadied from the heels of MACHO TYCOON near the 1200 metres. Jockey C. Whiteley reported that his mount hung in in the home straight.

FERRIGNO - Was bumped on jumping.

VIRTUITY - Was bumped on jumping and raced 3 wide throughout.

SON OF A WARRIOR - Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped VIRTUITY.

Race 8: Functions @ Callaghan Park Class 3 Plate - 1600 metres
1st - ABSOLUTELYANYTHING 2nd - GEMINI KING 3rd - WILD GODSON 4th - STYLISH LUCK

HIS REDEMPTION - Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost ground. Near the 1000 metres had to be steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of JUST FOR KEEPS, which was over-racing.

COURTMAN - Over-raced in the early stages.

ABSOLUTELYANYTHING - Began awkwardly.

JUST FOR KEEPS - Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages.

RIVARIVA - Raced 3 wide without cover.
