Race 1: The Landscaper Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st RED RADA 2nd - THE EUNUCH 3rd - METEOR'S MAN 4th - CRAIG AND PEDRO

BROKEN ELEMENT - Late scratching when no rider was available.

HAZARDOUS AREA - Slow to begin.

RED RADA – Jumped out at the start.

THE EUNUCH - Shifted in at the start, taking SALAMENCE in onto CRAIG AND PEDRO, causing SALAMENCE to lose some ground and SISTER KATIE to be hampered when tightened for room between CRAIG AND PEDRO and RED RADA. Bumped with another runner near the 700 metres.

CRAIG AND PEDRO - Raced greenly from the 200 metres. Trainer C. Smith advised stewards that he may remove the blinkers from the gelding's gear.

URBAN SPACEMAN - Bumped with another runner near the 700 metres.

Race 2: Bolsover Dental Practice Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 1 Handicap - 200 metres
1st SON OF A WARRIOR 2nd MONTANA HERO 3rd OUR SINGLE DOUBT 4th - DECLINED

BARBOUGE - Injured in float en route to the course. Late scratching, at 9.16 a.m.

RAKADAN - Slow to begin.

SOLO SOPRANO - Jumped outwards at the start and lost some ground.

OUR SINGLE DOUBT - Rider reported that his mount was unable to lead and failed to sprint as it had done at its most recent start.

COOPERSTOWN - Jockey D. Evans was reprimanded under A.R. 137A (5)(a) for using his whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100 metres.

Race 3: Carly-Mae Pye Memorial Class 3 Plate - 1050 metres
1st STANATHOL 2nd ZAHA EXPRESS 3rd GREEN EMPIRE 4th - ELJAY ATOM

PERMISSION GRANTED - As no other rider was available, Jockey P. Hamblin was permitted to ride the gelding half a kilogram overweight. Public announcements were made to that effect.

HOLY MAN- Resuming from a significant spell, underwent pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to take its place in the field. The explanation tendered for the late declaration of App. N. Summers was accepted.

MURAYANNA- Bumped another runner shortly after the start.

SOMEPLACE - Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Approaching and near the 400 metres shifted ground.

GREEN EMPIRE - Resuming from a significant spell, underwent pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to take its place in the field. A little slow to begin. When another runner shifted ground approaching and near the 400 metres, had to alter course.

STANATHOL - Near the 900 metres shifted in causing ELJAY ATOM D. Hayse) to be eased. App. Vuille was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had a graze to its off hind and skin off its hock.

Approaching the 900 metres HOLY MAN and KHAANTANTES laid in and caused SOMEPLACE and GREEN EMPIRE to be be tightened. MURAYANNA and SOMEPLACE brushed which caused SOMEPLACE and GREEN EMPIRE having to be eased.

MURAYANNA - Jockey J. P. Stanley reported that his mount began awkwardly and failed to travel well throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormalities.

ZAHA EXPRESS - Rider dropped her whip near the 200 metres.

ELJAY ATOM- Eased near the 900 metres. Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 4: Tony Madden Architects QTIS 3-Y-O Handicap - 1300 metres
1st CRAIGLEA WANDOO 2nd PEGUNNY KID 3rd KING MAX 4th - CRAIGLEA ALTISE

PEGUNNY KID - Stood flat-footed on jumping, began awkwardly and raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.

CRAIGLEA WANDOO - Slow to begin. Near the 700 metres improved to the inside of MISHANI REDMAN, which rolled in and caused CRAIGLEA WANDOO to race in restricted room and to be eased.

COMPULSIVE ROCKET - Near the 700 metres shifted in and away from PEGUNNY KID.

ROCKETTE ROCKET - Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages.

Race 5: Stockland Rockhampton Spring Cup Open Handicap - 1300 metres
1st TERMS OF TRADE 2nd PERFORMIA 3rd MOTORISED 4th - BLAZE TO FORTUNE

NEVZLIN - Raced without cover throughout.

TERMS OF TRADE - Held up for clear running on the heels of another runner near the 400 metres, shifted out to force a run and made significant contact with MOTORISED, which was taken outwards and caused PERFORMIA (D. Evans), which was racing behind MOTORISED, to shift wider to obtain clear running. Stewards cautioned Jockey A. Butler with regard to the incident, with particular emphasis on the safety aspect of forcing a run in such a manner.

PERFORMIA - Raced 3 wide in the early stages and near the 900 metres was restrained to take up a position close to the running rail. Near 400 metres, had to shift wider to obtain clear running.

MOTORISED- Significant contact when another shifted ground near the 400 metres. The declaration of correct weight was delayed to enable trainer F. Smith to view the patrol films with a view to lodging an objection against TERMS OF TRADE (A. Butler) being declared the winner. Having done so Mr Smith elected not to proceed with a protest, and correct weight was declared on the judge's numbers.

Race 6: Bolsover Dental Practice BM 70 Handicap - 1100 metres
1st - JUST CALL ME LOUIE 2nd - PERFECT KNOWLEDGE 3rd - PYGMY HUNTER 4th - FINAL CHAPTER

GAMBACCINI - Stewards permitted Jockey A. Butler to replace Jockey P. Hamblin, due to a flight schedule issue. Jockey A. Butler stated that after being slow to begin, the gelding failed to travel well or stretch out throughout the event and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer C. Smith.

PRIMED FOR DESTINY - Slow to begin. Trainer J. O'Shea reported that as the mare was not finishing off in her recent races, will now be given a month's spell.

SHADOW TALES - Began awkwardly, shifted out and lost some ground.
