CYNISCA - Began awkwardly.
AHMAH STAR - Raced wide without cover throughout.
LA DIOSA- When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, App. S. Fawke said that after beginning well, in the early stages he was unable to hold his position when horses raced forward of him, and that the filly failed to travel well throughout and was under pressure from the home turn. A swab sample was collected. Trainer Ms N. McCall advised that the filly will now be spelled and may leave her stable.

1st WINGED WARRIOR 2nd OUR NEDDY BOY 3rd BASHAN 4th - OUTBACK LIGHTNING
BASHAN - Began awkwardly. Near the 800 metres was steadied from the heels of WINGED WARRIOR.
STOP CRYING - Slow to begin.
OUTBACK LIGHTNING - From the 300 metres hung out under pressure.
Race 3: XXXX Gold QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st DUDOOMP 2nd SHIGZAG 3rd OUR BOY HIPPY 4th - SEACITY
SWEET ARETHA - As Jockey A. Taylor was not riding at today's meeting, Jockey S. Sheargold was substituted as the rider of the filly. Slow to begin.
PRINCESS RHYTHM - On being loaded into the barriers, the filly became fractious, got down in the barrier and broke through. After the horse galloped riderless for some distance and to avoid further delay, stewards ordered the late scratching of the filly. Subsequently they ordered that all bets made on the horse be refunded and that the following deductions apply:
6¢ in the dollar for the win for the winner, DUDOOMP
9¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, DUDOOMP
6¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, SHIGZAG
9¢ in the dollar for the place for 3rd, OUR BOY HIPPY
Connections were advised a further barrier certificate would be required.
SAURABH - Began awkwardly and from the 1000 metres raced ungenerously for a short distance.
SHIGZAG - Slow to begin. Rider reported that his mount over-raced in the middle stages. Leaving the 400 metres shifted in and away from SAURABH and become awkwardly placed on the heels of SWEET ARETHA. Near the 300 metres shifted out and took SAURABH outwards.
SEACITY - Made contact with another runner on jumping. Raced wide with cover throughout.
WOLF DRUM - Raced wide with cover throughout.
COPPER COIN - Contacted by another runner on jumping.
DYNAMIC DRAGON - Began awkwardly. Raced 3 wide without cover.
CASPERETTE - Slow to begin.
ROCKIN' HIPPY - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
Race 4: Hahn 3.5 Benchmark 65 Handicap - 1811 metres
1st HOSTILE OWNERS 2nd MACHO TYCOON 3rd CLEANSING ALE 4th - COOL DAYS
CURLEY GREY - Slow to begin. App. B. Richardson fined $300 under A.R. 137A for using her whip on 7 occasions more than permissible prior to the 100 metres.
COOL DAYS - Momentarily held up for clear running prior to the 400 metres.
SLIM HENRY - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
RADIANT JOY- Approaching the 400 metres made contact with SLIM HENRY on two occasions and then was held up and shifted out to improve.
CLEANSING ALE - Jockey C. McIver reprimanded under A.R. 137A for using his whip on 2 occasions more than permissible prior to the 100 metres.
Race 5: 2016/17 100 Club Sponsorship Now Available Class 2 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st SON OF A WARRIOR 2nd OOSTHUIZEN 3rd USURPER 4th - WOLF HUNTER
CUPSTER - Slow to begin.
Leaving the 500 metres FLYING SIREN was accidentally struck over the head by the whip of App. J. Orman.
SON OF A WARRIOR - From the 400 metres laid in and near the 300 metres when struck with the whip shifted outwards.
Race 6: XXXX Bitter Class 1 Handicap - 1100 metres
1st- MAXADRAMA 2nd - SONADOR ROSE 3rd- MYSTIC LAD 4th - SHROUDED
MAXADRAMA - Slow to begin.
DUFOUR - Slow to begin. App. S. Fawke was fined $300 under A.R. 137A for using his whip on the gelding on 3 occasions more than is permitted.
Near the 900 metres MYSTIC LAD (App. K.Aho), which was over- racing, was restrained. DOUBLE DRAMA (Jockey S. Sheargold), which was also over-racing, shifted out from the heels of MYSTIC LAD, taking COSTA LITTLE out onto MUSCOVY (C. McIver), which was tightened between COSTA LITTLE (App. R. Payne) and PENNYCALAINE (App. N. Vuille). MUASCOVY had to check and lost ground.
BUCK THE SYSTEM - Hung out in the middle stages.
SHROUDED - Raced wide without cover throughout.
THE EUNUCH - Raced wide without cover throughout.
PENNYCALAINE - Raced wide with cover.
ELEMENTAL BOY - Near the 800 metres over-raced and shortly after was steadied when racing between EEJAY STYLE and DOUBLE DRAMA.
DOUBLE DRAMA - Near the 100 metres was tightened for room between EEJAY STYLE and MAXADRAMA, both of which shifted ground.
