Stewards Trial 1 – 520m

The greyhound VELOCITY KALINA performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.17 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound FERNLEE STAR performed a satisfactory weight trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.07 and a weight of 31.1 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound ANOTHER HASSLER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.45 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

Stewards Trial 1 – 331m

The greyhound VELOCITY CLOVER performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 331m in a time of 19.20 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

GLASSHOURSE GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN 520M

Even start.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight YO VALE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after COWGIRL LUCY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  BINERAY BOY raced wide around the turn out of the front straight.  Shortly after YO VALE and GOLD LINER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the back straight GOLD LINER improved onto the heels of COWGIRL LUCY resulting in both greyhounds to be checked.

 

The greyhound COWGIRL LUCY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

UBET – THE NEW TAB MAIDEN FINAL 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start PALLINGTON was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after EMBER FLARE and STANKY LEG collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Shortly after STANKY LEG and COSMIC COPY collided resulting in COSMIC COPY to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the front straight MY MOJO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Passing the catching pen MASKED ZORRO and PALLINGTON were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight STANKY LEG and EMBER FLARE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight PALLINGTON was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start COPPER MINER and AVENUE HERO collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the front straight AVENUE HERO, ZILLIE BEAN and PARTIAL DEFENCE raced tight resulting in AVENUE HERO and ZILLIE BEAN to be checked and lose ground.  PARTIAL DEFENCE was severely checked and lost considerable ground as a result of this incident.  Entering the back straight JACARANDA CITY commenced to give ground and retired from the race.

 

The greyhound JACARANDA CITY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and humanely euthanised.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion WISH YOU WILL, LOOK THE PART and STILL COUNTING were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight LOOK THE PART was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  WISH YOU WILL which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight GAGAN CEE JAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  STILL COUNTING which was trailing was hampered as a consequence.  Entering the back straight WAY OF SHADOWS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M

GINA SANNETTE was best to begin.  IT’S ABOUT TIME was slow to begin.  KERRYZA GUNN raced wide in the back straight.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight GINA SANNETTE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the front straight IT’S ABOUT TIME turned its head towards the direction of GINA SANNETTE and lost ground as a consequence.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. P Ruetschi that the greyhound IT’S ABOUT TIME would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks.

Even start.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion NATURAL LAD and SMART MARLOW collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight LOVE SHAK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SMART MARLOW and LOVE SHAK collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight CHEVY BLUE BOY, SMART MARLOW and LOVE SHAK all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

SKY RACING 4/5th GRADE 520M

SPECULATE was best to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight DOWN SIZED UP was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  GUNNADOO REV which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight DOWN SIZED UP improved onto the heels of TIP YA CAP resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight HARA’S BUNDY and TIP YA CAP collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound SUITE ALEXIS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

CRYSTAL TIARA, OUR CHALLENGE, HONEY HORNET and CHADOR KAHN were best to begin.  Rounding the turn into the front straight on the 1st occasion MY AWESOME MAGIC was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  GELANTIPY GOLD raced wide over various stages of the race.

SULZANTI @ STUD 0 – 3 WINS 600M

LIL’S ROSE and NAMROD were best to begin.  IMA RUNAWAY was tightened for racing room approaching the front straight on the 1st occasion and fell as a consequence and lost some ground.  NEYMAR MAGIC, WAY BEFORE YOU, JIMARY BOND and SPRING RUNNER were all checked as a result of this incident and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight SPRING RUNNER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound IMA RUNAWAY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind toe and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

SO KAWAII was best to begin.  KNOCKER KNOCK, HARA’S SAM and FLASHING FERGO were marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the turn into the front straight KNOCKER KNOCK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.
