The greyhound SHE’S CRANKING failed to make the required weight and was not eligible for a reweigh.

 

Stewards Trial 1 – 331m

The greyhound KNOCKA ON FIRE performed a satisfactory weight trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 23.72 and at a weight of 28.1

 

The greyhound BIG SHOW HAWKO performed a satisfactory 6 month and weight trial over the distance of 395m in a time of 22.99 and at a weight of 33.4.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

GLASSHOUSE GREYHOUND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN 520M

Even start.  Immediately after the start NAVIGATION shifted out tightening BINERAY BOY while SHOES TO FILL shifted in abruptly checking GOLD LINER, NAVIGATION and SONIC THUNDER.  In the front straight GOLD LINER, BINERAY BOY and NAVIGATOIN were all tightened.  Entering the 1st turn BINERAY BOY and GOLD LINER came together.  Shortly after, GOLD LINER contacted the running rail.  In the 1st turn NAVIGATION checked off heels.  Leaving the back straight BINERARY BOY shifted out checking ARABIAN GO DANI.  In the top turn SHOES TO FIL checked off heels.

 

The greyhound GOLD LINER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

UBET – THE NEW TAB 0 – 3 WINS 600M

MIGHTY NOVA was best to begin with JIMARY BOND and SORRENTO were slowly away.  In the 1st turn TIZZYWING and SORRENTO collided.  Approaching the bottom turn JIMARY BOND was tightened causing this greyhound to fall and take no further competitive part in the event.  TIZZYWING which was following was hampered.  Through the bottom turn LIL’ ROSE, WAY BEFORE YOU and SORRENTO all bumped.  In the back straight LIL’S ROSE shifted wide hampering SORRENTO.  Entering the turn into the home straight WAY BEFORE YOU was tightened.

 

The greyhound JIMARY BOND underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5th GRADE 520M

GOTCHA CHA CHA and STILL COUNTING were best to begin while BURNING OAK was slowly away.  Shortly after the start SUMMER QUAYS and RED STEEL came together while GOTCHA CHA CHA shifted out hampering KIALLA.  Approaching the 1st turn LOOK THE PART and QUINTASTIC were both tightened.  SUMMER QUAYS was wide in the 1st turn and the back straight.  Entering the home straight RED STEEL checked off heels.

GLEN GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE 520M

COOKIE NO CREAM was best to begin.  Shortly after the start MILLION DOLLAR and MIDNIGHT DASHER were tightened.  In the 1st turn WISH YOU WILL checked off heels and hampered BENTAXLE.  In the top turn FATHER NOEL checked off heels.

 

Stewards delayed the ‘all clear’ for this race as the patrol films were reviewed to ascertain whether any greyhounds were materially affected by the presence of birds on the track during the event.  Once confirmed that no greyhound was affected the ‘all clear’ was given.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 600M

IMA RUNAWAY was slow to begin whilst DUSTY WAY, EL CHAD and GUNNA WINK were marginally slowly away.  In the 1st turn PETITE ZIP ZIP and JACOBY RAIDER were tightened.  Shortly after, FLASH VENTURE and EL CHAD came together causing GUNNA WINK which was following to shift out and collide with IMA RUNAWAY and both greyhounds lost ground.  In the front straight FLASH VENTURE and GUNNA WINK collided.  In the bottom turn FLASH VENTURE checked off heels.

 

The greyhound FLASH VENTURE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BRISGREYS.COM 5th GRADE 520M

DISCO DOLLY and CHEVY BLUE BOY were best to begin.  Entering the 1st turn CHILLED HEAT, THIS TIME MADDIE and INDIAN GIVER were checked and as a result raced wide in the 1st turn.  In the 1st turn CHILLED HEAT and INDIAN GIVER collided.  Shortly after, REFLECTED and CHEVY BLUE BOY collided heavily.  Entering the top turn CHEVY BLUE BOY improved onto the heels of DISCO DOLLY checking this greyhound.  In the top turn THIS TIME MADDIE improved onto the heels of CHEVY BLUE BOY and both greyhounds were checked.

SKY RACING 4/5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  In the front straight BATTY LOVES BEER and FEAR THE RECALL were tightened.  Approaching the 1st turn ISLA’S STYLE and SNEAKIN’ OUT were both tightened causing SNEAKIN’ OUT to lose ground.  Shortly after, BOOM WARRIOR was tightened.  Leaving the 1st turn BOOM WARRIOR checked off heels and hampered SNEAKIN’ OUT.  Entering the back straight ISLA’S STYLE was tightened.  In the home straight FEAR THE RECALL and BATTY LOVES BEER collided.

Even start.  In the front straight VIKING BUDDY shifted in tightening GEMMA BENZ, COSADO SUN and UNIQUE MOTIVE and causing HONEY HORNET to check off heels.  Approaching the 1st turn HONEY HORNET, PLENTY OF PUNCH and UNIQUE MOTIVE all collided.  In the 1st turn PLENTY OF PUNCH was hampered on the heels of HONEY HORNET.  In the top turn HONEY HORNET and PLENTY OF PUNCH raced tight.  Shortly after, COSADO SUN checked off heels.

SULZANTI @ STUD 5th GRADE 520M

HURRICANE CHANCE was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start DOLLAR AND CENT and HURRICANE CHANCE came together.  In the front straight HARA’S BUNDY shifted out tightening UNIQUE GHOSTY and ROMAN ARMOUR.  Shortly after, UNIQUE GHOSTY shifted in hampering HURRICANE CHANCE.  In the 1st turn HARA’S BUNDY checked off heels and collided with ROMAN ARMOUR and DOLLAR AND CENT and all greyhounds were inconvenienced.  Entering the back straight HARA’S BUNDY checked off heels.  Shortly after, ROMAN ARMOUR improved onto the heels of UNIQUE GHOSTY and both greyhounds were checked.  HARA’S BUNDY which was following was hampered and forced wide.  Approaching the top turn UNIQUE GHOSTY was tightened.

 

The greyhound LOVE SHAK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound ROMAN AMOUR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE 395M

BOGIE MIRACLE and BOXING ROO GIRL were best to begin.  Shortly after the start KORONG, LORD LACHLAN and CHAMPAGNE SALLY raced tight and unbalanced.  Shortly after, LORD LACHLAN and CHAMPAGNE SALLY collided.  Entering the back straight BOXING ROO GIRL was dragged down and lost significant ground and PUNCH RIGHT OUT which was following was inconvenienced.  Shortly after, LORIAN ADITI was tightened.  Leaving the back straight LORIAN ADITI was tightened and lost ground.

 

The greyhound LORD LACHLAN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
