GLASSHOUSE GREYHOU0ND SPORTING CLUB MAIDEN 395M

HYDE was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MR. LEO and TOWN HALL TULLY were tightened.  In the 1st turn general tightening resulted in interference to all runners excluding MR. LEO and as a result, RED JUMPER became severely unbalanced and TOWN HALL TULLY, HOT MUMMA’S BOY and HYDE all lost ground.  Entering the top turn HYDE checked off heels.

BILL’S SPECIAL has its muzzle dislodged at the start.  MULGOWIE YOWIE was slow to begin.  In the 1st turn BILL’S SPECIAL, JUST LIKE YAZZA and MULGOWIE  YOWIE were checked causing JUST LIKE YAZZA and SPRITELY BILL to lose ground.  In the top turn SPRITELY BILL checked off heels and collided with MULGOWIE YOWIE and both greyhounds raced tight and unbalanced through the turn.

 

The greyhound SPRITELY BILL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 395M

SPENDER BEACH and HEZA CLASSY SIZE were best to begin with SWARAVSKI was marginally slow.  Shortly after the start COSMIC REX and BACK ON TOP collided.  COSMIC REX was wide in the top turn.  In the home straight ENZO JAZZ and BACK ON TOP collided and were unbalanced.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5th GRADE 395M

MR. BANKS and REGAL WAZ were slow to begin while JAYCEE’S LADY was very slowly away.  In the 1st turn NEVER A DOUBT, NOAKI FLYER, SWIPE RIGHT and PINATA collided and were unbalanced causing NOAKI FLYER and SWIPE RIGHT to lose ground.  In the back straight SWIPE RIGHT improved onto the heels of PINATA and both greyhounds were checked.  Entering the top turn NOAKI FLYER and SWIPE RIGHT collided and lost ground.

 

Stewards advised trainer of JAYCEE’S LADY Mr. J. Catton that the fashion in which this greyhound began from the boxes was bordering on unsatisfactory and future performances would be monitored.

HARA’S STORM was best to begin while PREMIER TEJAY was slow.  In the 1st turn ODESSA, CHEVALEIR NUIT and WESTERN HONEY were tightened causing ODESSA and WESTERN HONEY to lose ground.  Entering the back straight CHEVALEIR NUIT was tightened and lost ground and WESTERN HONEY that was following was forced to improve onto the heels of this greyhound, causing both to lose further ground.  CAPTAIN LOUIE was also checked as a result.  In the top turn ODESSA was tightened and momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound PREMIER TEJAY underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe, and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

The greyhound GUDERA SPITFIRE underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin, and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

SPRING RUNNER was best to begin.  ZILLIE BEAN began awkwardly and lost ground.  DANCING SOLO was wide in the 1st turn.

MUMMA’S HOPE and GUTENBERG were best to begin.  Shortly after the start DAHOMEY WINDSONG was tightened and momentarily hampered.  In the 1st turn MUMMA’S HOPE checked off heels.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5th GRADE FINAL 395M

LUCKY CALL and INTERACTION were best to begin.  Shortly after the start NIGHT TIME LOVER checked off heels.  In the 1st turn INTERACTION and COMETRON FLYER were tightened and lost ground and shortly after NIGHT TIME LOVER checked off heels and lost ground.  Entering the top turn HARA’S HUMMER and LUCKY CALL collided causing LUCKY CALL to lose ground.

 

The greyhound LUCKY CALL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

I’M GLAD was best to begin.  Leaving the 1st turn JUST FROSTY was tightened and lost ground and IMA TALENT that was following was severely inconvenienced and lost significant ground, taking no further competitive part in the event.  OLD MOON MADNESS was also hampered as a result of this incident.

 

The greyhound IMA TALENT underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle, and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB 5th GRADE 395M

BETTY FAY, QUICK AND LIVELY, SPORTFAN and WHO DAT GUN all began well.  TEFLON FLYER was slowly away.

 

The greyhound SPORTFAN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a laceration to the near fore foot. No stand-down time was given.
