PALLINGTON checked off the heels of BLACKHEART BELLA causing BLACKHEART BELLA
to race wide on the turn. In the back
straight PALLINGTON and BLACKHEART BELLA collided. Entering the turn out of the back straight
SHOW ME JAKEY checked off the heels of IRON MAID causing SHOW ME JAKEY to
drop back sharply. In the home
straight IRON MAID was wide. The
greyhound BLACKHEART BELLA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
no apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound SHOW ME JAKEY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
was found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood
down for a period of 10 days. |

THE KING. Entering the turn out of the
back straight BARBARELLA checked off the heels of PHANTOM HOUDINI. On the top turn DOVAHKIIN checked off the
heels of BARBARELLA. Entering the home
straight WAZZA QUEEN checked off the heels of PHANTOM HOUDINI. Approaching the winning post WAZZA QUEEN

FIRST GRADE GROUP TROPHY 3/4th GRADE 520M Even
start. Soon after the start ALPHA AION
dropped to the rear. Entering the turn
out of the home straight KEALOAH, RUSTY’S IMAGE and AZA ZEUS all collided
causing AZA ZEUS to race wide.
Entering the back straight BEC’S DIAMOND and AZA ZEUS collided. In the back straight BEC’S DIAMOND checked
off the heels of AZA ZEUS with RUSTY’S IMAGE wide. On the turn out of the back straight
CAPTAIN TIL checked off the heels of COSMO BILL. In the home straight KEALOAH was wide. The greyhound
AZA ZEUS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The greyhound
ALPHA AION underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period
of 7 days. Stewards questioned Mr. M
Zammit regarding the performance and betting activities of ALPHA AION. Mr. Zammit stated that, he had never
supported the greyhound in any of its runs in Brisbane and he was always
concerned about the greyhound being crossed early and how the greyhound would
react. |
