RACE REPORTS

DUE TO THE SEVERE THUNDER STORM AND LIGHTNING ACTIVITY THAT STRUCK THE TRACK SHORTLY PRIOR TO THE RUNNING OF RACE 4, ALL RACES WERE PUT BACK THREE TIME SLOTS.  FURTHER CONSIDERATION WAS GIVEN, AS THE LIGHTNING ACTIVITY SHOWED NO SIGN OF RECEDING, AND, AS A RESULT, THE REMAINDER OF THE PROGRAMME WAS ABANDONED

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MDMPW 331M

Even start, with the exception of WILDASH KAMILARO which was marginally slow to begin and NEXT ONE which was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, LOWOOD DUK improved onto the heels of SATIN LUSTRE, resulting in that greyhound to be checked and to lose ground.  Shortly after, LOWOOD DUK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, LOWOOD OUT shifted out which hampered the running of NEXT ONE.

SWABS TAKEN:  MARITANA – Post Race – Lynette Williams

2.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN 331M

Even start.  Shortly after the start, BELLA’S SPECIAL shifted out which checked the running of IMA TIPPA TOO.  HOT MUMMA’S BOY was checked as a result of this incident and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, BLACK DRATTA shifted out which hampered the running of FAKE NEWS and BELLA’S SPECIAL.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, IMA TIPPA TOO and FAKE NEWS collide on a number of occasions, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.

SWABS TAKEN:  EYE THAT GIRL – Post Race – Tony Zammit

3.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL 331M

FEAR BETTY was best to begin.  RAVEN LOCH, GALWAY BLUEBIRD and BLACK PEARL GIRL were all marginally slow to begin.  Entering the back straight, RAVEN LOCH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, AMLIN ROSIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

SWABS TAKEN: FEAR BETTY – Post Race – Dean Turley
