Stewards’ Trial The greyhound,
SMART MARLOW, performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of
520m in at time of 30.84, and was cleared to race all tracks. The greyhound,
KYELLA, performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of 520m in a
time of 30.89, and was cleared to race all tracks. |

DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN 520M Even
start. Shortly after the start, DOUBLE
TAKE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight, DAILY MUSTER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight, DOUBLE TAKE, LAYBACK LENNY and DAILY MUSTER all collide,
resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Stewards
sought an explanation from Mr Ryan Hall, the trainer’s representative of
DOUBLE TAKE into the betting activities of that greyhound in tonight’s event,
where DOUBLE TAKE started at $4.40 fixed price with UBET, having opened at
$11.00. Mr Ryan stated that the
greyhound was not supported by himself or the trainer, Mr T Rice, however it
did trial well at Lismore, running a time of 30.12, which in his view,
exposed the Greyhound’s form as it’s kennel mate BACK OFF, which trialled in
the same event in a time of 30.0 and won last week at Albion Park on the 8th
February, 2018. Mr R Hall’s
explanation was forwarded to the QRIC’s betting intelligence team for further
investigation. The
greyhound DAILY MUSTER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD
NOVICE 520M Even start, with the exception of VENDERWEGHE which was
marginally slow to begin. Rounding the
turn out of the front straight, BOGAN BELLE, MAGIC BARB, VANDERWEGHE, BACK
OFF and WAZZA QUEEN all raced tight, resulting in all greyhounds to be
checked at varying degrees. Entering
the front straight, BACK OFF improved onto the heels of VANDERWEGHE and lost
ground. |

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MIXED 4/5 395M Even start,
with the exception of BOGAN SECRET which was marginally slow to begin. Through the first turn, POPULAR BELIEF was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight, SHORT SESSION
was tightened for racing room, improved onto the heels of HARA’S STORM, which
resulted in both greyhounds to be checked an lose ground. BILL’S SPECIAL and ROAD SCHOLAR, which were
racing to the outside of HARA’S STORM, were checked as a result of this incident
and lost ground. Rounding the turn
into the front straight, MEMPHIS and ROAD SCHOLAR collide, resulting in ROAD
SCHOLAR to be checked and to lose ground. |

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MIXED 3/4 395M Even start.
Approaching the turn into the back straight, ALL ABOUT TIGER was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight, REGAL HOPE
commenced to give ground and finished a considerable distance from the
field. Leaving the back straight, ALL
ABOUT TIGER improved onto the heels of HARA’S HOOK, was checked as a
consequence and lost ground. ODESSA,
which was racing to outside of HARA’S HOOK was checked as a result of this
incident and lost ground. The greyhound
REGAL HOPE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
suffered an injury to the off side hock, and was humanely euthanised. The greyhound
ALL ABOUT TIGER underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period
of 7 days. The greyhound
ACE GAMBLER underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the near side pin muscle and was stood down for a
period of 7 days. |

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE 600M Even start.
Rounding the turn into the front straight on the 1st
occasion, KAPPA NU was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Entering the front straight on
the 1st occasion, DUDE PERFECT shifted out, which checked the
running of BOGAN FLYER, resulting in that greyhound to lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight,
BOGAN FLYER and MILLION DOLLAR collide, which resulted in BOGAN FLYER to be
checked, lose ground and then collide heavily with BRITTANY TALKS, resulting
in both greyhounds to be severely checked and to lose considerable ground. The greyhound
BOGAN FLYER underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the back muscle and was stood down for a period of
10 days. The greyhound
KAPPA NU underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10
days. |

ground. Leaving the back straight,
RICHMOND ROAD and WILDASH SEMI collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and to lose ground. The greyhound MUMMA’S HOPE underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
