RACE REPORTS

1.

UBET – DOWNLOAD THE APP MAIDEN (1) -  520M

MISTER CHAOS and SUPER CESC were best to begin.  Shortly after the start, WILD ROCK HAYZE and RUBEUS collided, resulting in RUBEUS to be checked and to lose ground.  In the front straight, during the latter stages of the race, HORSLEY ROCKET turned its head outwards and marred the running of WILD ROCK HAYZE, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.

The greyhound MISTER CHAOS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the performance of MISTER CHAOS, trainer Mr M Lalicz said the greyhound had trialled well leading up to today’s race, and he was of the opinion that it would reach the 520m.  After reviewing the performance of MISTER CHAOS, Mr Lalicz said that he would reconsider to race the greyhound over the shorter distance, and restrict its racing to Lismore race track.

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr J Hauritz, that the greyhound HORSLEY ROCKET would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 3rd Offence, 12 months and greyhound must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, 520m, all tracks.

When questioned over the performance of GILBERT GRAPE, which started at $34 fixed price on Ubet and was successful in winning the race, trainer Mr K Donaldson said that since GILBERT GRAPE had come into his care, he’s been trying to even out its weight and he believes that it is racing at its best race weight currently.  He further stated that GILBERT GRAPE had pulled up sore in the shoulders after its previous race at Albion Park on the 2nd April, 2018, and he’d been working on the greyhound himself to get it fit for tonight’s race, which he contributed to the greyhound performing at is best tonight.  He further stated that he did not support the greyhound, which is his usual betting activity.
