THIRTY TALKS
@ STUD NOVICE - 520M SHE’S
SOME GAL was best to begin. Shortly
after the start, INFRARED LAD and MACQUIRE were tightened for room and checked. NURBURG collided with MACQUIRE and was
checked. CLOVER CONNIE collided with
INFRARED LASS and was hampered. DOUBLE
GEE was tightened for room and was hampered.
Approaching the 1st turn, CLOVER CONNIE checked out across
the heels of NURBURG and collided with MACQUIRE, which was forced out wider
on the track as a result. Through the
turn into the back straight, SPOOKIE MIDNIGHT checked out across the heels of
BULLSEYE DOUBT. Out of the turn into the back straight, CLOVER CONNIE was
tightened for room and checked.
Through the turn into the front straight, MACQUIRE and SPOOKIE
MIDNIGHT collided on a number of occasions, resulting in both runners being
checked. MACQUIRE raced wide in the
front and back straight. The
greyhound SPOOKIE MIDNIGHT underwent a post race veterinary examination and
no apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound CLOVER CONNIE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

MIFFY’S DISHLICKER
STAKES 5TH GRADE (1) – 520M Approaching the 1st turn, SMART MARLOW and
FARMOR IN TIME were both tightened for room and checked. KULU JASPER was tightened for room and
hampered. Out of the turn into the
back straight, DOLLAR AND CENT checked out across the heels of SMART MARLOW,
both runners were checked. Out of the
turn into the front straight, JUST SPIFFING turned its head outwards and made
muzzle contact with BE FEARLESS, resulting in both runners being checked. The greyhound FARMOR IN TUNE underwent a post race
veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off
side fibula and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Stewards advised trainer, Mr J McCarthy, that the
greyhound JUST SPIFFING would be charged under Rule 69 Marring 2nd
Offence, 3 months and the greyhound to perform a stewards’ trial, 520m all
tracks. Trainer John McCarthy advised stewards’ that JUST
SPIFFING would now be retired from racing.

RQ YOUNG GUNS OPEN HEAT 1 – 520M HAY BILLY
began awkwardly and lost ground.
Approaching the 1st turn, BRANDI ALEXANDER was tightened
for room and hampered. HAY BILLY, who
was trailing, checked out across that runner’s heels and collided and
SAMBUCCA HAYZE which was forced out wider on the track as a result. MONEY FOR JAM, which was trailing, was checked. Out of the back straight into the turn,
SLEIGHT OF HAND and SAINTY BONUS bumped and were both hampered. HAY BILLY, which was trailing, was
hampered. Through the turn into the
front straight, SAMBUCCA HAYZE shifted out and bumped SAINTY BONUS, which in
turn shifted out and collided with HAY BILLY.
BRANDI ALEXANDER, which was trailing, was checked as a result. On entering the front straight, BRANDI
ALEXANDER and POWER SERVICE bumped. |

RQ YOUNG GUNS OPEN HEAT 2 – 520M BAD NEIGHBOUR knuckled at the start. Shortly after the start, BAD NEIGHBOUR was
tightened for room and checked.
Approaching the 1st turn, BAD NEIGHBOUR checked out across
the heels of WILDASH NITRO. Shortly
after, DEEP IMPACT checked out across the heels of CALL ME UGO and bumped
ALPHA ULYSSES, which was forced out wider on the track and checked as a result. Through the turn into the back straight,
BAD NEIGHBOUR collided with HAY HOPEY and was checked. Out of the back straight into the turn,
CALL ME UGO was tightened for room and hampered. The greyhound WILDASH NITRO underwent a post race
veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off
side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days. The greyhound HAY HOPEY underwent a post race veterinary
examination and was found to have sustained and injury to the off side hock
and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Stewards’ advised trainer, Ms C Elson, that the greyhound
HAY HONEY would be charged under Rule 69 (b) Failing to Pursue with Injury,
10 days and greyhound to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, 520m all
tracks. |

YOUNG GUNS OPEN HEAT 3 – 520M KENATAY began awkwardly and lost significant ground. HARA’S HONEY began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, BROTHER DESY was
tightened for room and checked.
Approaching the 1st turn, HARA’S HONEY and MAN OF LEISURE
were both tightened for room and checked.
MAN OF LEISURE then shifted out and collided with OGODEI STAR. Shortly after, GEORGIE MAC was tightened
for room and checked. BROTHER DESY,
which was trailing, checked out across the heels of GEORGIE MAC and collided
with MAN OF LEISURE which was checked.
KENATAY bumped BROTHER DESY and was hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn,
GEORGIE MAC was tightened for room and checked. OGODEI STAR collided with BROTHER DESY and
was checked. BROTHER DESY raced wide
in the front straight. |

PASSION BONUS was tightened for room and hampered. WILDASH TOM, WIL EYE AM, CLASSY CASSIE and
VELOCITY CHARM, which were trailing, were checked as a result. Out of the back straight into the turn,
ALPHA VALENTINE collided with NIKKI NETTLE and was checked. PASSION BONUS, which was trailing, was
hampered. Through the turn into the
front straight, BILL’S SPECIAL improved onto the heels of ALPHA VALENTINE and
was hampered. WILDASH TOM raced wide
in the back and front straight. |

THE DASHING CORSAIR
OPEN HEAT 1 – 600M UMATILLA and VISIGOTH were slow to begin. Through the 1st turn into the
front straight, BARBARELLA checked out across the heels of CYN’S MAGIC and
collided with DEL REY, which shifted out and bumped ANOTHER NORRIS out wider
on the track. On entering the front
straight, VISIGOTH was tightened for room, checked out across the heels of
BARBARELLA and collided with DEL RAY, both runners were checked. Out of the
front straight into the turn, DREAM BLASTER, UMATILLA and ANOTHER NORRIS all
collided and were checked. BARBARELLA,
which was trailing, checked out across the heels of ANOTHER NORRIS and raced
wide through turn into the back straight.
Out of the back straight into the turn, UMATILLA and VISIGOTH were
both tightened for room and checked.
Through the turn into the front straight, on the 2nd
occasion, VISIGOTH shifted out taking DEL RAY out wider on the track. ANOTHER NORRIS raced wide in the front
straight. |

slow to begin. On entering the back
straight MAGIC HORNET was tightened for room and hampered. Out of the back straight into the turn,
SMOOTH CLAUDIA improved onto the heels of MAGIC HORNET and was hampered. Shortly after, BIG BAD BOB and SMOOTH
CLAUDIA collided, both runners were checked.
The greyhound BIG BAD BOB underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off
near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

room and checked. On entering the back
straight, ADHARA STEEL checked out across the heels of AZA ZEUS. Out of the back straight into the turn,
ADHARA STEEL contacted the heels of PICKLED TINK, both runners were
hampered. Shortly after, ADHARA STEEL
bumped PICKLED TINK, resulting in that runner being checked. |

WHIP, both runners were checked. KULU
TURKEY’s muzzle became dislodged at the start. Shortly after the start, REGAL EMERALD
contacted the heels of KULU TURKEY, both runners were hampered. Through the turn into the back straight,
DRAW THE WHIP checked out across the heels of REGAL EMERALD. Out of the back straight into the turn,
SPOOKIE SENSATION and FONIC LASS bumped, with both runners being hampered.
SPOOKIE SENSATION raced wide in the back and front straight. |

GRADE (3) – 520M VOLKEY was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, BRITTANY TALKS and KULU CHANCE bumped,
resulting in BRITTANY TALKS being checked.
Approaching the 1st turn, COSMIC CAPERS and STANKY LEG
bumped on a number of occasions, both runners were checked. VOLKEY and IZY GOLD, which were trailing,
checked out across the heels of STANKY LEG and raced wide through the turn as
a result. Through the turn into the
back straight, STANKY LEG, COSMIC CAPERS and BRITTANY TALKS all collided,
resulting in all three runners being checked.
On entering the back straight, COSMIC CAPERS contacted the heels of
STANKY LEG, both runners were checked.
Out of the back straight into the turn, WAHWAH TIGGY checked out
across the heels of ONE DOLLAR. Over
the concluding stages of the event, VOLKEY and IZY GOLD collided and were
both checked. The greyhound COSMIC CAPERS underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound STANKY LEG underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
