GREYHOUNDS RESUMING

2

WHO IT IS, Last start 12/02/18, injury

GENERAL

Following advice from the QRIC Integrity Investigations Team during routine kennel inspections, it was discovered that the greyhound trained by Mr T. Auckram, being SHOES TO FILL (Race 8) was administered a substance. The administration took place this morning (14/6/18) which is in breach of GAR 83A(1). Acting under the provisions of GAR 83A(2) the greyhound SHOES TO FILL was withdrawn at 4:52PM by stewards. Mr Auckram pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $1,000 with $500 being suspended for a period of 12 months if a similar breach is not made. In determining penalty stewards acknowledged Mr Auckrams forthright evidence, extensive time as a licensed trainer, the status of the event and that this penalty must act as a deterrent.
