RACE REPORTS

 

1.

UBET TAPPY MAIDEN HEAT 1 – 331M

 

DAM LONELY and BIG BIRD were best to begin.  TADA AGAIN and SUMMER’S PICK were slow to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, GOOD BYE DORIS, DAM LONELY, BIG BIRD, TIGHT CIRCLE and SUMMER’S PICK all sustained interference, resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground.  In the front straight during the latter stage of the race, GOOD BYE DORIS turned its head and made muzzle contact with DAM LONELY, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. 

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr A Walsh, the greyhound GOOD BYE DORIS, would be charged under Rule 69 Marring 1st Offence, with the greyhound being stood down for a period of 28 days, and at the track where the offence occurred and will be required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, prior to racing again.

ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 331M

 

Even start, with the exception of SOX THE FOX which was marginally slow to begin.  Entering the front straight, ROMAN SILVER and FLYING COMET collided, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  Leaving the back straight, ROMAN SILVER and FLYING COMET collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN HEAT 3 – 331M

 

SHADOW COURT and ISLA’S IVY were best to begin.  Entering the back straight, DAM SLIPPERY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, FANTA POP improved onto the heels of TILTED, resulting in that greyhound shifting out and colliding with DAM SLIPPERY, and as a result of this incident, both greyhounds were checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, ORANGE OAK ROAD shifted out and collided with TILTED, causing that greyhound to shift out and collide with DAM SLIPPERY, resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  RAINTREE COUNTY, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost considerable ground.

 

The greyhound RAINTREE COUNTY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound DAM SLIPPERY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound TILTED underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NPW – 331M

 

Even start, with the exception of HAY YOU FELLA and NITRO NIC which were both slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight, ORACLE KATE, OH SHE GLOWS, LUCKY LECKEY and NITRO NIC all sustained interference and lost ground.  In the back straight, MR. CRAIG US improved onto the heels of LUCKY LECKEY and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, MR. CRAIG US and NITRO NIC collided, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  In the front straight, OH SHE GLOWS checked across heels and lost ground.  LUCKY LECKEY, which was racing to its outside, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

 

The greyhound NITRO NIC underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

The greyhound MR. CRAIG US underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 395M

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start, STAR RING and SHOT CLOCK collide.  Through the 1st turn, SHOW BEKIM, SHOT CLOCK, ADHARA STEEL and COMETRON FLYER all sustained interference and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, LUCKMAN, SHOT CLOCK and ADHARA STEEL all sustained interference and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound SHOT CLOCK underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

MISSED CONTROL and ILLAWONG COWGIRL were best to begin.  POCKY’S PRINCESS was slow to begin in the early stages.  Entering the back straight, CAPTAIN’S KNOCK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, POCKY’S PRINCESS shifted out, which checked the running of DANI BALE.

7.

EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 331M

 

JEANNIE DREAMING was best to begin.  Entering the back straight, POLLYS MAID was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, FABULOUS BILL, SHORT SESSION, ELLY BYE BYE and GALLEON received interference and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, SHORT SESSION checked across heels and lost ground.  In the front straight during the later stage of the race, JEANNIE DREAMING eased. 

 

The greyhound JEANNIE DREAMING underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr C Chandler, the greyhound JEANNIE DREAMING, would be charged under Rule 69 (a) Failing to Pursue1st Offence, with the greyhound being stood down for a period of 28 days, and at the track where the offence occurred and will be required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, prior to racing again.

BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY BEST 8 – 331M

 

Even start.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, LADY OLIVIA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after, PINK COLLISION was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out, collided with REGAL TRAV, resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked, with PINK COLLISION losing considerable ground, and REGAL TRAV falling and taking no further competitive part in the race. 

 

The greyhound PINK COLLISION underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

The greyhound REGAL TRAV underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

The greyhound CORY’S DIAMOND underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to 10 days.

BRISGREYS.COM 5TH GRADE (1) – 331M

 

Even start, with the exception of REGAL LEN and SAGE OF OMAHA which were marginally slow to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, ARCH RIVAL was tightened for racing room, shifted out and collided with REGAL LEN, resulting in that greyhound to be severely checked, fall and take no further competitive part in the race. VAQUERO and ZINCHENKO, which were trailing, were checked as a consequence and lost considerable ground.

 

The greyhound REGAL LEN underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a back strain and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

WHITE OX and MR. APOLLO were best to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, BROKE EVEN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight, BIG HUEY received interference and lost ground.
