1.

GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE – 520M

 

QUEEN WERINA was best to begin.  ARE JAY LOCHIE was checked at the start.  VANDERWEGHE and UNO UNO were slow to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, POWDER and VANDERWEGHE were tightened for room and checked.  ARE JAY LOCKHIE raced wide through the turn into the back straight.  Through the turn into the back straight, RINGBARK BELLA collided with QUEEN WERINA and was checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn, UNO UNO contacted the heels of WILL EYE AM.  POWDER was tightened for room and checked.  On entering the front straight, POWDER shifted out and collided with COOL HAND GUS.  

 

The greyhound COOL HAND GUS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained  an injury to the near fore metacarpal and was stood down for a period of 10 days

CROCMEDIA QLD NATIONAL DISTANCE PRELUDE – OPEN 710M

 

HOT EMBER shifted in at the start and collided with RED HOT SPUR, HOT EMBER continued to shift in and collided with CHAMPAGNE SALLY.  On entering the 1st turn, both RED HOT SPUR and JALAPENO were tightened for room and checked.  Passing the winning post, JALAPENO collided with HOT EMBER.  Through the turn into the front straight, JALAPENO collided with CHAMPAGNE SALLY.  CHAMPAGNE SALLY bumped the running rail.

 

The greyhound CHAMPAGNE SALLY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

UBET TAPPY MA5 – 520M

 

BRIGHT SATELLITE and DUSTY’S CHANCE were best to begin.  RACK TAP RACK and DISCO DOLLY bumped at the start.  On entering the 1st turn, BRIGHT SATELLITE checked out across heels.  Shortly after, BUTTON PUSHER collided with KISSY FIESTA, which fell and took no further part in the event.  DISCO DOLLY, which was trailing, collided with KISSY FIESTA and was severely checked.  RACK TAP RACK raced greenly throughout the event. 

 

The greyhound RACK TAP RACK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BIMBADGEN MAN and RAQUEL’S MAGIC were best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, CLASSY CASSIE was tightened for room and checked out across heels.  Shortly after, MAYWYNS NOISE contacted the heels of RAQUEL’S MAGIC.  On entering the front straight, VISIGOTH collided with MAYWYNS NOISE, which was checked.

WIGGLES TAIL-WAGGERS DERBY MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 520M

 

MR. BELVEDERE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, AIR TIME raced in restricted room and was hampered.  Approaching the 1st turn, BLOZA, ALPHA VALENTINE and SMART MARLOW were all tightened for room and checked.  WAHWAH TIGGY, which was trailing, was checked and forced out wider on the track. WAHWAH TIGGY and BLOZA collided in the back straight. Out of the back straight into the turn, POWER SERVICE and SMART MARLOW bumped. Shortly after, WAHWAH TIGGY and SMART MARLOW both checked out across heels. 

 

The greyhound HARA’S HOOK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

TRUTH PREVAILS was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, DAHOMEY WINDSONG collided with DREAM BLASTER, fell and took no further competitive part in the event.  Through the turn into the back straight, DAZE LIKE THESE was tightened for room and hampered.  Out of the back straight into the turn, DAZE LIKE THESE was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the front straight, CYN’S MAGIC and LOCH FREDDIE bumped. 

 

The greyhound DAHOMEY WINDSONG underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

ALL ABOUT TIGER and CODRINGTON KID were best to begin.  BIG BAD BOB collided with MAURICE MINOR at the start and was severely checked.  Approaching the 1st turn, POLLY’S MAID was tightened for room and checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn, POLLYS MAID was tightened for room and hampered. Shortly after, BUBBLE GUPPY and SHOT CLOCK collided, both runners were checked.  Over the concluding stages of the event, CODRINGTON KID was tightened for room and checked.

CALL ME UGO and NIKKI NETTLE were best to begin.  Approaching the winning post, MAGIC HORNET was tightened for room and hampered.  Shortly after, SLICK checked out across heels.  On entering the 1st turn, JURY was tightened for room and checked.  MAGIC HORNET, which was trailing, collided with that runner and was checked.  SHOES TO FILL also collided with JURY, was severely checked and forced out wider on the track and collided with SLICK. Through the turn into the back straight, NIKKI NETTLE collided with FABRIQUE, both runners were checked. Shortly after, FABRIQUE and GELANTIPY GOLD collided.  Out of the turn into the back straight, SHOES TO FILL contacted the heels of JURY and almost fell. Out of the back straight into the turn, NIKKI NETTLE was tightened for room and was hampered. SLICK raced wide in the back and front straight.

BONKNOCKA LASS and ARE JAY DUREE were best to begin. Shortly after the start, SPRING MYSTERY was tightened for room and checked out across heels.  THAT HOUDINI was tightened for room and hampered. On entering the 1st turn, PICKLED TINK was tightened for room and checked. Through the turn into the back straight, SPRING MYSTERY checked out across heels. In the back straight, THAT HOUDINI contacted the heels of SPRING MYSTERY. Over the concluding stages of the event, PICKLED TINK was tightened for room and checked.

CHIEF SNOW and BILLY BOY were best to begin.  EMMA’S MAGIC was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, FARINGDON bumped LIL MISS PINKY.   Approaching the 1st turn, BILLY BOY, NAKURU and PRINCESS EMILY all collided and were checked.  EMMA’S MAGIC and FARINGDON, which were trailing, were both hampered. Through the turn into the back straight, FARINGDON and PRINCESS EMILY bumped. CHIEF SNOW and DÉJÀ VU ROCK bumped. Out of the turn into the back straight, PRINCESS EMILY bumped FARINGDON. Out of the back straight into the turn, NAKURU was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after, CHIEF SNOW and DÉJÀ VU ROCK collided. Through the turn into the front straight, CHIEF SNOW and DÉJÀ VU ROCK collided again. On entering the front straight, FARINGDON shifted out and made muzzle contact with CHIEF SNOW, which was checked. EMMA’S MAGIC bumped FARINGDON. In the front straight, CHIEF SNOW, DÉJÀ VU ROCK and BILLY BOY all bumped. 

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr D Taylor, the greyhound FARINGDON will be suspended under Rule 69 Marring 1st Offence, with a stand down period of 28 days at the track where the offence occurred and the greyhound is to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial prior to racing again.

SMOKEY WISHES, which was trailing, was forced out wider on the track. Shortly after, MAKO MAC was tightened for room and was hampered. Through the turn into the back straight, FONIC LASS checked out across heels. On entering the back straight, MAKO MAC was tightened for room and hampered.  FEMME FOLLE was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after the start, REGAL EMERALD and FEMME FOLLE collided, both runners were checked.
