Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN HEAT 1 – 395M

 

SWEET TALKING was clearly best to begin, LADY OPAL was marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, LOJAY GEM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost considerable ground.  LADY OPAL, which was trailing, collided into LOJAY GEM.  In the turn out of the back straight, POTENTIAL checked onto the heels of RILEY ROO, causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced.  HARA’S SHADOW, which was trailing, shifted wide through the turn.  Leaving the turn out of back straight, LOGAN’S RUN was impeded and lost momentum.  LOGAN’S RUN and RILEY ROO raced tight over the concluding stages of the race, causing RILEY ROO to shift out.

 

Race 2 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 395M

 

EMMA SAID and HARA’S HUSTLE were both best to begin.  Immediately after the start, KOORINGA ZOE shifted out and collided into BLUE JAY JAY, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the 1st turn, STEWY’S MAGIC was tightened for racing room, collided into KOORINGA ZOE and lost considerable ground as a result.  Midway down the back straight, BLUE JAY JAY and NANNY’S CHARLIE raced tight and checked, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum.  Shortly after, STEWY’S MAGIC shifted in and collided with BLUE JAY JAY, causing both those greyhounds to lose momentum.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, KOORINGA ZOE and EMMA SAID checked, causing EMMA SAID to become unbalanced.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, STEWY’S MAGIC was impeded and became unbalanced. 

 

Race 3 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS MAIDEN HEAT 3 – 395M

 

DARBY’S GIRL was best to begin, HARA’S DASH was slow.  Through the 1st turn, DARBY’S GIRL was tightened for racing room, shifted out and checked into POPPATOP.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, HOPE SAID shifted in and collided with POPPYCOCK, causing both those greyhounds to lose substantial ground.  DARBY’S GIRL, which was trailing, shifted wide.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, POPPYCOCK and HOPE SAID checked.  HARA’S DASH shifted in and checked POPPYCOCK just prior to the finish.

 

The greyhound POPPYCOCK underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5TH GRADE – 520M

 

MAKO MAC was best to begin.  SYFY HERO began awkwardly. SYFY HERO and EBONY MIST raced tight approaching the 1st turn.  SYFY HERO raced wide through the 1st turn.  SYFY HERO raced wide through the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 5 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE (1) – 395M

 

Even start.  CYNDIE SAID was checked immediately after the start.  At the 1st turn, TINKIE’S MY MUM shifted out and collided into TOOK A FERGUS, causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, MISTER MORK was impeded, checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, MAGIC SUMMER checked off heels and lost ground.  CYNDIE SAID was impeded and shifted wide through the turn out of the back straight.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, MISTER MORK was impeded, shifted out and collided into CYNDIE SAID, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum. 

 

Race 6 – THE MANLY HOTEL NOVICE (2) – 395M

 

MISS BECKBOO was best to begin.  The field, with the exception of MISS BECKBOO raced tight and checked at the 1st turn, with RINDA DES inconvenienced.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, NAN’S MAGIC improved onto the rear of WHO’S HOPE, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, MISS BECKBOO was tightened for racing room and became unbalanced.  RINDA DES shifted out wide through the turn out of the back straight.  Midway down the front straight, NAN’S MAGIC shifted out off heels. 

 

Race 7 – BOX1PHOTOGRAPHY.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 395M

 

TOP SCORE and FARMOR HEAT were both best to begin.  SMASHNIAK WINX was tightened for racing room immediately after the start and lost momentum.  At the 1st turn, TOP SCORE and FARMOR HEAT checked.  TOOK A SELFIE, TICTAC CLOUD and ROSEALIE WHO, which were trailing, were inconvenienced.  Shortly after, FONIC LASS, which was trailing those greyhounds collided into the rear of ROSEALIE WHO and lost considerable ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, TICTAC CLOUD and ROSEALIE WHO checked.  Shortly after, TICTAC CLOUD was tightened for racing room and lost momentum.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, TOOK A SELFIE was tightened for racing room and lost momentum.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, TOOK A SELFIE was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground.  Shortly after, FARMOR HEAT checked off the rear of TOP SCORE and became unbalanced.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, TICTAC CLOUD collided into the rear of TOOK A SELFIE.  At the same time, SMASHNIAK WINX was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Approaching the finish line, FONIC LASS was impeded.

 

The greyhound TICTAC CLOUD underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 7 days,

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 395M

 

ZENYATTA MISS was best to begin.  At the 1st turn the majority of the field raced tight and checked, with HAY WILLIAM, NAUGHTY MAX and KATIE WHO losing ground as a result.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, HAY WILLIAM and TREAGLE TRIUMPH checked. 

 

Race 9 - FABERGAS @ STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 395M

 

FARMOR ON FIRE was best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, ANNIE SAID was tightened for racing room, stumbled and lost ground.  Shortly after, HARA’S HORNET shifted out and checked into HAIGHT ASHBURY.  MISS GAMBLER raced wide down the back straight.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, HARA’S HORNET came into contact with the running rail, shifted out and collided heavily into HAIGHT ASHBURY, causing both greyhounds to lose substantial ground. 

 

The greyhound HARA’S HORNET underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – UBET TAPPY 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 – 395M

 

SMASHNIAK BATMAN and SULTAN OF RUM, were both best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, BULLSEYE DOUBT and GITCHA HUMMIN’ checked.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, GITCHA HUMMIN’ shifted out and collided into CUTE GAMBLER, causing CUTE GAMBLER to become severely unbalanced and lose substantial ground.  SULTAN OF RUM raced wide in the back straight, and continued wide for the remainder of the race.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, TRAV SAID was momentarily impeded.

 

The greyhound CUTE GAMBLER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BULLSEYE DOUBT underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side hip support and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
