Race Reports

 

Race 1 – UBET TAPPY MAIDEN HEAT 1 – 331M

 

DEVIL FISH and STEWY’S MAGIC were slow to begin.  Entering the back straight, DEVIL FISH, EXCLUSIVE CHLOE, MAM SAID and STEWY’S MAGIC were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, WHO WHAT WHERE improved onto the hindquarters of MAGIC GAZELLE, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  ELITE JAX, which was racing to the inside of MAGIC GAZELLE, was checked as a result of this incident.  MAM SAID, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  In the front straight, ELITE JAX and WHO WHAT WHERE collided on a number of occasions.

 

The greyhound MAGIC GAZELLE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 2 – ASPLEY LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 331M

 

Entering the back straight, WAZZA SAID and TIMELY RICKSHAW collide.  Leaving the back straight, OUTBACK SHADOW was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. PARANELLA, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.   Rounding the turn out of the back straight, EMULATING CHLOE and WAZZA SAID collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound OUTBACK SHADOW underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

 

Race 3 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN HEAT 3 – 331M

 

TEJAY’S PRIDE was slow to begin.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, NACHO GRANDE improved onto the hindquarters of ELLIE’S STATE, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  LOJAY GEM and TUTA SINGLE ONE, which were both trailing, were checked as a consequence and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound ELLIE’S STATE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD NPW – 331M

 

UNIQUE SPIRIT and KINGSBRAE DEB were both slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, NIKOLUCKY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight, UNIQUE SPIRIT and NIKOLUCKY collide.  CHARLIE’S BARBUN raced wide around the turn out of the back straight, and shortly after collided with KINGSBRAE DEB.

 

Race 5 – AC CARINA 2018 PREMIERS 5TH GRADE – 366M

 

Entering the back straight, HEADSPIN was tightened for racing room, checked, collided with FANTA POP, resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  WILD CONNECTION, which was racing to its outside, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, MAGIC SUMMER commenced to give ground and retired from the event.

 

The greyhound MAGIC SUMMER underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side shoulder blade  and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

 

Race 6 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS NOVICE – 331M

 

Entering the back straight, PAVLOVA CLOUD, SUNBURNT OAK, WHINGING WILKO and FLYING COMET were all tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, SUNBURNT OAK, WHINGING WILKO and FLYING COMET were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the front straight, TUNDRA STORM was tightened for racing room, checked, improved onto the hindquarters of TELAM BUGSY GIRL, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound TELAM BUGSY GIRL underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

 

Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 4TH GRADE – 331M

 

SO CRAZY was slow to begin.  Leaving the back straight, HAY WILLIAM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ILLAWONG COWGIRL, NOELA’S BOY and ELEGANT DUK were all checked as a result of this incident.  Shortly after, ILLAWONG COWGIRL improved onto the hindquarters of SO CRAZY, resulting in that greyhound to be checked and to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, HAY WILLIAM shifted out, which checked the running of SO CRAZY. 

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM BEST 8 – 331M

 

Entering the back straight, DATA BASE, ARABELLA EMJAY and EBONY SANDS were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, KOORINGA THEO improved onto the heels of LADY OLIVIA, resulting in that greyhound to be checked and to lose ground.  BLACK DRATTA, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, FABULOUS WALL and LADY OLIVIA bumped on a number of occasion, resulting in LADY OLIVIA to be checked and to lose ground. 

 

Race 9 – FABERGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 395M

 

DARK TABOO and SPRITELY BILL checked shortly after the start and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn, ABELE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  CAPTAIN’S KNOCK and SUNBURNT ROAD were checked as a result of this incident.  Entering the back straight, CAPTAIN’S KNOCK checked off heels and lost ground.  

 

Race 10 – THE MANLY HOTEL MA5 – 331M

 

Entering the back straight, SANTA CLAWS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after, IRON MONARCH was tightened for racing room.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, IRON MONARCH improved onto the heels of EGYPTIAN MISS, resulting in that greyhound to be checked and to lose ground.  WESTMEAD DAFFIE and FERNVALE RUBY, which were trailing, were checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, WESTMEAD DAFFIE and FERNVALE RUBY collide.

 

The greyhound NINPIN underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 11 – SKY RACING 5TH GRADE (2) – 331M

 

YOU TELAM ANFY was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, INDIAN RUBY improved onto the hindquarters of HEELO BREE, resulting in that greyhound to be severely checked and fall.  INDIAN RUBY and WHITE LINE DELL  which were trailing were severely checked and fell as a consequence of this incident.  SHESA DRATTA raced wide rounding the turn out of the back straight.

The greyhound HELLO BREE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound INDIAN RUBY underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

The greyhound WHITE LINE DELL underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 12 – BRISGREYS.COM 5TH GRADE (3) – 331M

 

Rounding the turn out of the back straight, NANNY WHO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  At the same time, CROW NULLA improved onto the heels of NEDGO PRINCESS, shifted out and collided with ACTUALIZE, resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.
