Due to Government advice around
COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to
box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5,
followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all
races.
Prior to kennelling at the directions of stewards the race
morning scratchings of R1 Thirty Cents and R1 Good Job Charlie were confirmed
by the race day veterinary surgeon Dr R Geisel.
The all clear on race 2 was delayed as a duck was struck
by the lure approaching the home straight and fell to the ground in front of
the field. After viewing the stewards patrol film it was established that no
greyhound was adversely effected and “All Clear” was given on the event.
