Race 1 – TAB MA5 460m

1 Apollo's Warrior; Tightened for room in first turn,

6 Burrum Starsky; Slow to begin, tightened for racing room in first turn, entering second turn stumbled and lost ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and found no significant injuries.

 

Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr R Hassall regarding the greyhounds seemingly disappointing run today.  Mr Hassall stated that the greyhound was tightened for room on a number occasions during the run and appeared to have a small abrasion to one of the greyhound’s pads.  Stewards noted the explanation and elected not to take any action against the greyhound, but asked the trainer to report back to the stewards if any significant injury was detected in the coming days.

 

8 Wicked Tay; Tightened for room in first turn

 

Race 2 – CRAFT RENTAL & HARDWARE MAIDEN 460m

1 Two Bobs; checked in the first turn, exiting the second turn moved wide and checked with another runner, continued to run wide down the finish straight.

 

2 Roman Siren; Checked through the first turn,

4 Takura Tornado; moved wide in the back straight

9 Billy Boils; Wide exiting second turn and along finish straight checked another runner

 

 

 

 

 

Race 3 – GREAT NORTHERN NOVICE 460m

2 Pink Sands; checked with another runner as it entered the first turn.

3 Fizz Out; moved wide along the home straight.

4 Ollie's Lad; checked with another runner as it entered the first turn.

7 Clever Kali; as it entered the first turn it slowed and appeared to sustain an injury and took no further competitive part in the race. Following the race was examined by the veterinarian and had suffered a RH hip support strain and stood down for 10 days

 

Race 4 – TERRY SIGNS GRADE 5 550m


2 Prince Duggie Checked another runner after the jump, along the back straight was checked from behind.

 

4 Canny Dancer; Checked another runner after the jump, moved wide as it entered the first turn.

7 Nash Road Betty; checked the heels of another runner exiting the first turn.

 

Race 5 – EAST END HOTEL 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 460m

9 Macdowell; moved wide along the home straight.

10 Madam Shacoby; was slow to begin

 

Race 6 – ENDEAVOUR FOUNDATION 5PW 460m

1 One for Mick; checked with another runner entering the first turn.

3 Spring Angel; checked with another runner entering the first turn and lost ground.

4 Cicada; following the race a veterinarian inspection found the greyhound had suffered a LF toe ligament injury and was stood down for 28 days.

 

5 Weeona Lucky; checked with another runner soon after the start.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Race 7 – BARGARA BAKERY CAFÉ MIXED 3/4 460m

2 Fabthor moved wide through the second turn and checked with another runner.

4 Ava Surprise; was checked around the second turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and had suffered a RH toe ligament injury and stood down for 28 days

 

7 Kiss The Groom; was slow to begin, through the first turn slowed and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and had suffered a LH and RH hip support strain and stood down for 10 days

 

Race 8 – ACE FABRICATIONS BEST 8 460m

1 Richmer Assault; checked the heels of another runner as it was exiting the first turn.

4 Miss Emmy; Checked with another runner entering the first turn.  

6 Sheza Dryva; Checked with another runner entering the first turn moved wide and checked with the outside runner and lost ground.

 

8 Deejay Frankie; Was checked from behind exiting the first turn

 

Race 9 – UNCLE RUSTY'S PHOTOS GRADE 5 (1) 460m

2 Nimble Nanook Checked another runner after the jump.

3 Fire Fly Smurf slow to begin.

4 Angry Angus Checked another runner after the jump, ran wide exiting second turn and checked with another runner

 

6 Fly Mariposa tight for racing room exiting the second turn.

8 Tully Ran wide down the finish straight.

 

Race 10 – SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 460m

2 Cisco Sniper was checked through the first turn and forced wide.

3 Gamp moved wide exiting the first turn.

8 Kimm's Choice Checked through the first turn.
