Even start.  HEATHAN BRETT checked off LIL BIT AWESOME and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  DISPLOSION checked off YOU CAN DO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  YOU CAN DO checked off LIL BIT AWESOME and lost ground entering the back straight.  HEATHAN BRETT checked across the heels of YOU CAN DO and raced wide entering the front straight.  HEATHAN BRETT continued wide to the finish.

ROWE RACING CAIRNS 5th GRADE 410M

TAPATAK was the best to begin.  STARZAR GOLD, SAINT’S CHARM and PRETTY ERIN were slow to begin.  MONOCHRONE checked off TAPATAK and lost ground on the turn into the back straight r3esulting in interference to ABSOLUTE SERIAL, SAINT’S CHARM and PRETTY ERIN.  TAPATAK was tightened for racing room and checked off NO WORRIES BUDDY in the back straight resulting in TAPATAK losing considerable ground.  NO WORRIES BUDDY raced wide into the front straight.  MONOCHRONE raced wide in the front straight.

NORWELD CAIRNS 5th GRADE 410M

TEST YOUSELF was the best to begin.  FAMOUS REBEL was slow to begin.  TOP TELLER checked off TEST YOURSELF and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to GIVEAWAY LASS.  TEST YOURSELF knuckled over and lost ground approaching the turn into the front straight.  A veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.  CHIEF BOLT raced wide in the front straight.

TABLELAND FERTILZERS ATHERTON 4th GRADE 410M

ZEPHYR ZEUS was the best to begin.  BANDALORE and SMILES A LOT bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  HARA’S SIZZLE was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ZIPPING BUDDA shifted out in the front straight turning its head and making muzzle contact with SMILES A LOT.  Subsequently Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69 stood ZIPPING BUDDA down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for marring.  SMILES ALOT was forced wide in the front straight.

PAYLESS TIMBERS MAREEBA BEST 8 410M

ATOMIC OPIE was the best to begin.  IT’S HIS JOB was slow to begin.  SHAKE YOUR BOOTY checked off BELLA MARLO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to ZIPPING CARLTON and WESTOVER.  WESTOVER tailed off and finished a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed soreness to both front wrists.
