1.

RQ MAIDEN 1000 FINAL 410M

LIBBY’S HERO was the best to begin.  ROCKET’S BUDDY and BUTCHULLA MAGIC were slow to begin.  MR. MACGREGOR was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn into the back straight causing interference to TAHNE’S PICK.  CREED raced wide into and down the front straight.  MR. MACGREGOR raced wide in the front straight.

2.

NORWELD CAIRNS NOVICE 410M

KARMA’S TIME and KICKING KARMAR were the best to begin.  RHONDA’S YOGI checked off RHONDA’S BEAR and lost ground on the turn into the back straight resulting in interference to PARIS AUGOGO.  KICKING KARMAR checked across the heels of RHONDA’S BEAR on the turn into the front straight.  KARMA’S TIME and KICKING KARMAR bumped entering the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

FRANSEN PLUMBING 5th GRADE 410M

PEARLING was the best to begin.  MR. CANNA was tightened for racing room and lost ground approaching the turn into the back straight.  ALLEN PINCER lost ground in the back straight for no apparent reason.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed a muscle injury to the near hind leg.

MAX STOCKS FROZEN FOOD CAIRNS 4/5th GRADE 410M

CASEY MINI ME was the best to begin.  TRISHA NOLAN was slow to begin.  SLATER’S PICK, BIG SAV, SMOKEY WISHES and TRISHA NOLAN all bumped approaching the turn into the back straight resulting in BIG SAV and SLATER’S PICK losing ground.  SMOKEY WISHES checked off BIG SAV and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  TRISHA NOLAN checked off the heels of CASEY MINI ME on the turn into the front straight causing some inconvenience to BIG SAV.  SLATER’S PICK checked across the heels of BIG SAV as a result and become unbalanced on the turn.

JEFFREY DOWN BOOKMAKER BEST 8 410M

LEAD CONTENDER was the best to begin.  ZIPPING CARLTON and CHIEF BOLT were tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  ATOMIC OPIE was tightened for racing room and lost ground entering the back straight.  CHIEF BOLT and MANHATTAN MAID raced wide in the front straight.
