RACE REPORTS

 

1.

MAIDEN HEAT 1 366M

FEAR THE FLYER and WALL OF VOODOO were best to begin.  MR. DON shifted inwards immediately after the start.  DITSY SUE was marginally slow to begin and crossed to the outside shortly after. Approaching the 200m ACTUALIZE and ELSIE LANE raced tight.  Leaving the 200m DIGGER’S IMAGE shortened stride and fell back through the field taking no further competitive part in the race.

MAIDEN HEAT 2 366M

TOOTSWEET was best to begin.  MR. LEO and HAY YOU FELLA shifted inwards immediately after the start. LIGHT HEAVY shifted inwards shortly after. SUPER   FLICK shifted outwards approaching the 200m. MULGOWIE YOWIE shifted to the outside rail at the same point. SUPER FLICK checked off the heels of TOOTSWEET inside the last 200m.

5th GRADE HEAT 1 366M

PARIS FRANCE was best to begin.  NOSMO KING was slow to begin and shifted inwards.  Shortly after the start DEEJAY BURN shifted to the outside and checked BUD’S DLEIGHT, who in turn shifted inwards after the contact.  GO TO CONDONG shifted in and hampered MILLION DOLLAR at the 200m mark.  Shortly after the 200m AUNTY FREDA shifted to the inside.

 

The greyhound NOSMO KING underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5th GRADE HEAT 2 366M

Shortly after the start BRAVE ULYSSES, NAUGHTY MAX, DAISY RUMBLE, GIFTED PINES and SHINTARO STAR all came together, with GIFTED PINES getting checked and losing ground as a result.  FABRE FORCE shifted to the outside shortly after the start. Approaching the 200m SPORTFAN and NAUGHTY MAX raced tight and checked.  Shortly after the 200m DAISY RUMBLE shifted to the outside.  At the same time FABRE FORCE shifted to the middle of the track momentarily hampering SPORTFAN.  GIFTED PINES shifted to the outside inside the final 100m.

 

The greyhound SHINTATO STAR underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5th GRADE HEAT 3 366M

FANCY FREEL was best to begin.  SENNI LUCILLE was slow to begin.  ONE DOLLAR and BABY BASSIN checked shortly after the start.  FANCY FREEL shifted to the outside prior to the 200m mark.

6.

5th GRADE HEAT 4 366M

DOLLAR AND CENT and LOOK THE PART raced tight after the start.  All greyhounds with the exception of NAMROD raced tight towards the outside, at the 100m.  Shortly after LOOK THE PART shifted towards the middle.  FLASH VENTURE and SWIFT NIMROD continued to race tight for the remainder of the race and bumped on occasion.

3/4th GRADE 366M

CAPTAIN LOUIE was best to begin.  STRAIGHT SHADOW shifted to the inside shortly after the start.  At the 200m point GUNNA WINK and GOT THERE shifted to the outside with GUNNA WINK shifting inside shortly after they did. GUNNA WINK and GOT THERE  shifted in front of BIRKDALE BANDIT impeding the running of that greyhound in the last 200m. GUNNA WINK raced erratically behind greyhounds for the last section of the race
