Other Comments / Explanations:

“Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races”

 

Race 1 - THE ASHLEY ONLEY MAIDEN (1) 366m

1 Gentleman Jack- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. Shifted out passing the 200m.

3 Velocity Tinto- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.

4 Miss Ladybird-  Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. Shifted out passing the 200m bumping with another runner.

5 Columbian King-  Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.

6 Haigslea Rose- Collided with another runner after the 200m causing the greyhound to be checked.  

8 Frosty Lover- Eased on a number of occasions over the concluding stages of the event. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr M Attard, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the finish line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1), Frosty Lover was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Frosty Lover is suspended for a period of 28 days at  Capalaba and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 69A(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

9 (Box 2) Troy Of Orange- Collided with another runner immediately after the start and was checked.

 

Race 2 – THE ELITE ROOFING MAIDEN (2) 366m

1 Extra Coins- Quick to begin.

2 Prince Cosmic- Tightened for room immediately after the start. Shifted outwards shortly after the start.  

4 Big Whiskey- Shifted outwards shortly after the start. Bumped with another runner and was hampered approaching the 200m.

7 Riley's Reason- Slipped at the start causing the greyhound to lose ground.

9 (Box 3) Team Austria- Crossed to the rail shortly after the start.

 

Race 3 – BAY CITY PET TRAVEL NOVICE 366m

3 My Bouquet- Slow to begin. Shifted outwards at approx. the 200m.

4 Flying Asteroid- Quick to begin.

6 Forever Diamonds- Slow to begin.

1 Turnkey Creek- Quick to begin.  

3 Welge- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.  

4 Good Boy Ivan- Tightened for room at the start. Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. 

5 Spirit River-  Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked. 

6 My Girl Gracey- Bumped another runner shortly after the start and was hampered.

7 Kisses For Cloda-  Shifted inwards to the rail at approaching the 100m.

8 Restless Emotion- Shifted inwards to the rail at approaching the 200m.

 

Race 5 – QUEENSLAND BRED DOGS 4/5 GRADE HEAT 1 MIXED 4/5 366m

General- The start of this race was delayed approx. 2.5 minutes. Staff and trainers were reminded of their obligations to unsure the starting time isn’t affected.

3 Morris The Great- Slow to begin.

5 Lenny Talks- Began awkwardly. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near fore foot and was stood down from racing for a period of 7 days.

8 Audible Warning- Quick to begin.

 

Race 6 – QUEENSLAND BRED DOGS 4/5 GRADE HEAT 2 MIXED 4/5 366m

1 Ivy Wild- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checkedUnderwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Russell inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Ivy Wild come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

3 Mungo Barry- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.  

4 Earn And Return- Marginally slow to begin.  

6 Kenatay-  Quick to begin.

7 Emmaville Miner- Commenced to give ground from approx. the 200m. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Connections advised stewards that they intend on retiring the greyhound.  

8 Peter Talks- Quick to begin.

 

Race 7 – QUEENSLAND BRED BITCHES 4/5 GRADE FINAL MIXED 4/5 366m

3 Regal Topaz- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the off hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.   

6 Cool Change- Began awkwardly. Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was severely checked.  

8 Mel Buzz- Quick to begin.

9 Alpha Stix (Box 4)- Collided with another runner shortly after the start and was checked.

 

Race 8 – JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MIXED 2/3 366m

1 Aberdeen- Shifted inwards to the rail immediately after the start.  

4 Dusty Delight- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was checked.

5 Stinger Noir- Slow to begin.

6 Ocean Master- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was checked.

 

8 Double Sting- Quick to begin.

 

Race 9 – KEYBOW @ STUD GRADE 5 (1) 366m

1 Franz Propp- Slow to begin

3 Roger Rocks- Collided with another runner approaching the 100m and was checked.  

4 Bear Zar- Collided with another runner approaching the 100m and was checked.

6 Duke's Rocket- Slow to begin.

8 Cash Trail- Quick to begin.

 

Race 10 – WAYNE HARRIS GRADE 5 (2) 366m

1 Tevita Shadow- Slow to begin. Stewards spoke to Mr. Apap, trainer of Tevita Shadow regarding the greyhound performing below market expectation. Mr. Apap stated that the greyhound had not raced in over 3 months and was over excitable in the hours leading up to today’s event. Mr Apap also stated that Tevita Shadow did not take benefit from being in a later race or being the first greyhound loaded into the starting boxes. Stewards noted the explanation.

4 Logo- Marginally slow to begin, shifting inwards.

5 Fine Silhouette- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was hampered.  

6 I'm Demanding- Collided with another runner approaching the 200m and was hampered.  

7 Hara's Panda- Collided with another runner approaching the 100m and was checked.  

 

Race 11 – HORIZON CONCRETE GRADE 5 (3) 366m

2 Lil Bit Foxy- Bumped another runner at the start.  

3 Recreational- Shifted in abruptly at the start.

8 Buck Or Two- Began awkwardly. Shifted inwards towards the rail approaching the 200m and was inconvenienced. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Prater  inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Buck Or Two come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

 

Race 12 – DR JOHN MURRAY MA5 366m

3 Ringbark Ace- Shifted in to the rail shortly after the start.  

6 Hi Que- Very slow to begin.

8 Cadogan- Quick to begin.
