RACE REPORTS
1.			WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M ALPHA ZEPHYR and SPECIAL SHOW were best to begin. TIGI BENZ was slow to begin. Approaching the first turn ROSDUE JITTERBUG checked outwards across the heels of SIX GUN and lost ground as a result. Rounding the turn into the back straight SPECIAL SHOW was tightened for room and checked. COLD NIGHTS which was trailing was checked as a consequence and shifted outwards. BLARNEY BOY which was trailing was checked. Entering the back straight TIGI BENZ contacted the heels of BLARNEY BOY resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered. Entering the turn out of the back straight BLARNEY BOY was tightened for room and hampered. ROSDUE JITTERBUG raced wide around the turn and through the front straight. The greyhound ROSDUE JITTERBUG underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

2.			SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M FANTASY FREEZE was best to begin. FROSTY WITCH and JANE ROSE HI were slow to begin. Shortly after the start ROSDUE AVALON, WILDASH WANDERER, MAGIC BENZ and ME TARZAN were tightened for room and checked. Entering the first turn FROSTY WITCH improved onto the heels of MAGIC BENZ resulting in both runners to be severely checked. JANE ROSE HI which was racing to their outside was checked and forced wide around the turn as a result. Through the first turn ROSDUE AVALON and ME TARZAN were tightened for room and checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight ROSDUE AVALON and WILDASH WANDERER were tightened for room and checked. In the front straight WILDASH WARRIOR shifted inwards resulting in ROSDUE AVALON which was trailing to be hampered.

3.	ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES MAIDEN FINAL 431M BINTANG LAURIE was marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start BINTANG LAURIE contacted the hindquarters of MAGIC SWIFTLY resulting in both runners to be checked. Shortly after the start PRATER’S ACE, POUNCING LILLIE, NOIRE CHERIE and ARABIAN TU GO were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees as a result. Through the first turn POUNCING LILLIE, DODGY CREDIT and MAGIC SWIFTLY were all tightened for room and checked. BINTANG LAURIE which was trailing was checked as a result. Entering the back straight ARABIAN TU GO contacted the heels of PRATER’S ACE resulting in PRATER’S ACE to be checked and shift wide in the back straight. MAGIC SWIFTLY and PRATER’S ACE were wide in the back straight. Entering the turn out of the back straight PRATER’S ACE, ARABIAN TU GO and BINTANG LAURIE were all tightened for room and severely checked. MAGIC SWIFTLY which was trailing was checked as a result. Through the turn into the front straight MAGIC SWIFTLY shifted out and contacted the hindquarters of PRATER’S ACE resulting in both runners to be checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight BINTANG LAURIE, ARABIAN TU GO and PRATER’S ACE were all tightened for room and severely checked. SNOZZSTA, NOIRE CHERIE, POUNCING LILLIE, MAGIC SWIFTLY, DODGY CREDIT and PRATER’S ACE were all wide in the front straight. The greyhound PRATER’S ACE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound ARABIAN TU GO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

Through the first turn SAGA NOREN was tightened for room and hampered. SMASHNIAK STORM and SPRING LILL which were trailing were hampered as a result. Rounding the turn into the back straight LIMBURG JACK shifted outwards resulting in SAGA NOREN which was trailing to be checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight SMASHNIAK STORM was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after GIDDY UP PATSY checked outwards across the heels of SMASHNIAK STORM. Through the turn into the front straight LIMBURG JACK was tightened for room and hampered. SMASHNIAK STORM which was trailing was checked and shifted outwards as a result. SPRING LILL was wide in the back straight. GIDDY UP PATSY was wide in the front straight.

5.	TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M WILD FOX, LOVED UP and SPRING HOUDINI were best to begin. Entering the first turn SURF CATCHER and LISA ROSE HI collided resulting in both runners to be checked. In the back straight ME HAPPY was wide. Entering the turn out of the back straight WILD FOX was tightened for room and severely checked. LOVED UP which was racing to its outside was severely checked as a result of this incident. ME HAPPY which was trailing was checked as a consequence. Through the turn into the front straight SURF CATCHER and STING ‘EM WASP collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Shortly after LOVED UP shifted outwards and collided with STING ‘EM WASP resulting in both runners to be checked. The greyhound WILD FOX underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

6.	O’REILLY PET FOOD 5^th GRADE 520M SPRING TRIXIE was best to begin and DON’T WEAKEN was slow to begin. At the start GOTCHA CHA CHA, PENULTIMATE, FLYING SOVEREIGN and WHAT A MESS were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees as a result. Entering the first turn SPRING TRIXIE and GOTCHA CHA CHA collided resulting in SPRING TRIXIE to be checked and GOTCHA CHA CHA to be checked and shift out wide on the turn. Shortly after WHAT A MESS checked outwards across the heels of PENULTIMATE. In the back straight GOTCHA CHA CHA was wide. Entering the turn out of the back straight FIERY BENZ contacted the heels of DON’T WEAKEN resulting in both runners to be checked. GOTCHA CHA CHA which was trailing was checked as a result. In the front straight SPRING TRIXIE was wide.

7.	WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 4^th GRADE 431M Even start. At the start SHOW BOUND and ONLY EXIT collided resulting in ONLY EXIT to be severely checked and stumble. Shortly after the start SPRING ELLIE was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the back straight MAGIC PASS contacted the heels of SPRING RECALL resulting in both runners to be checked. LITTLE ACH CEE which was trailing collided heavily with MAGIC PASS resulting in that runner to be severely checked, fall and take no further competitive part in the event. SHOW BOUND which was racing to their outside was checked as a result. ONLY EXIT which was trailing was severely checked as a result. Rounding the turn into the front straight SPRING ELLIE checked outwards across the heels of SHOW BOUND. The greyhound MAGIC PASS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

8.	C2C CONSTRUCTIONS BEST 8 431M Even start. Shortly after the start TASER SHOCK, YOUR DEAL and SPLIT SYSTEM were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees. Entering the turn out of the back straight BOXING ROO GIRL was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight TASER SHOCK bumped HARRY BAILEY resulting in that runner to be hampered.

9.	GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5^th GRADE 431M MR. TRANSPORTER was marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start BARCELLA and SEIZED ASSET collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Entering the first turn MONOCEROS and BARCELLA were tightened for room and checked. MR. TRANSPORTER which was trailing was checked as a result. Rounding the turn into the back straight SNOW RUNNER and SEIZED ASSET were tightened for room and hampered. In the back straight CHEEKY CHEECH was wide. Entering the turn out of the back straight SNOW RUNNER and SEIZED ASSET were tightened for room and checked. Over the concluding stages of the event HANNAH’S BELL was tightened for room and hampered.

Rounding the turn into the back straight ROMAN ARMOUR and MONLOR KIM were tightened for room and checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight SPRING DAWN suffered an injury and took no further part in the event. Shortly after GUN DANCER and BENTAXLE collided resulting in both runners to be checked and shift out wider on the turn. The greyhound SPRING DAWN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.
