Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound ON THE RIZE performed a satisfactory weight trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.65 and at a weight of 27.8 and is now cleared all tracks.

Even start with the exception of ELUSIVE QUEEN and SHEZA JEWEL which were marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ELUSIVE QUEEN and SHEZA JEWEL collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight and again in the front straight COLLIE ROSE HI and ROSDUE BALBOA collided.  TRIPLE TWIST commenced to give ground leaving the back straight.

 

The greyhound TRIPLE TWIST underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

ME TARZAN and ROSDUE AVALON were best to begin.  COLD NIGHTS was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start FATAL CHARM and FROSTY WITCH collided.  Through the first turn WESTENDER and ROSDUE AVALON collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  In the back straight WESTENDER and SUPER SCOOTER collided resulting in SUPER SCOOTER to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight FATAL CHARM was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and collided with SUPER SCOOTER resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M

Even start with the exception of NAVAJO WARRIOR which was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start TROUBLING TIMES, GIDDY UP PATSY and SLIP MY MIND raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight NAVAJO WARRIOR was tightened for racing room and shifted out and made contact with GIDDY UP PATSY which in turn shifted out and collided with SLIP MY MIND resulting in SLIP MY MIND to stumble and become unbalanced resulting in that greyhound to be retired from the race.  Entering the back straight FIREFLY LADY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  DIDDY BOY raced wide in the back straight.  Leaving the back straight LEIGHT ROSE HI shifted in and made contact with the running rail and lost ground.

 

The greyhound LEIGHT ROSE HI underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SLIP MY MIND underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

SPRING DOLLY and MAKE TODAY COUNT were best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn SPRING BLONDE was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered.  Through the 1st turn BRONCO BOY, KAAN PAKMAK and LISA ROSE HI were racing tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  In the back straight SPRING DOLLY and MAKE TODAY COUNT collided.  In the front straight during the latter stages of the race BLUSHING MEL was held up for clear running and was hampered as a consequence.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

DARK SMIFFY was best to begin.  Through the first turn HO CHOI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight MAYWYN ACCOLADES was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and collided with THOMAS ROSE HI resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  MR. TRANSPORTER which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight MR. TRANSPORTER and THOMAS ROSE HI collided.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M

CHULU CHULULU was best to begin.  Through the first turn DOOHAN TIME and BENTAXLE were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight JEN ROSE HI and ON THE WALL collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight DOOHAN TIME was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

SNOW RUNNER, ROSDUE SPRITE, YOU JANE and NANTUCKET KAHN were best to begin.  Shortly after the start ROSDUE SPRITE shifted out which hampered the running of OUTBACK SUNSHINE.  Leaving the first turn ZABDON CHEVY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SNOW RUNNER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

GJ WALSH & CO 3/4th GRADE 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start LIL’ BIT SPARKY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ROAD TO FLAME was held up for clear running in the back straight and momentarily hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight LIL’ BIT SPARKY was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  SPLIT SYSTEM which was racing to its outside was hampered as a consequence.

 

The greyhound ROAD TO FLAME underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M

STELLA ROSE HI and ENKA ALLEN were best to begin.  Shortly after the start GET SHORTY and FLYING PRINCESS collided resulting in FLYING PRINCESS to be checked and lose ground.  Through the first turn GET SHORTY and SPECIAL VISION collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  SPECIAL VISION made contact with the running rail in the back straight and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SPECIAL VISION underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start with the exception of NOT THE ONE, JUST SIZE and HAPPY GLEN which were all marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start CHEEKY CHEECH, TITLE and SPILLING SECRETS all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  JUST SIZE and HAPPY GLEN which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight NOT THE ONE checked across the heels of JUST SIZE resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  In the back straight CHEEKY CHEECH shifted out which resulted in TITLE improving onto its heels resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight CHEEKY CHEECH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.
