Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound ISOBELLA’S MAGIC performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.63 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

RUN RIVA RUN was best to begin.  BOOK ‘EM was marginally slow to begin.  Entering the 1st turn FROSTY FOX and TINY TAPPER were tightened for room and checked.  Rounding the turn into the back straight COLLIE ROSE HI and BRASS ROAD were tightened for room and severely checked.  FROSTY FOX which was trailing was hampered as a result.  Entering the turn out of the back straight FROSTY WITCH and BOOK ‘EM were tightened for room and checked.  Through the turn into the front straight COLLIE ROSE HI contacted the hindquarters of TINY TAPPER resulting in both runners to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the front straight COLLIE ROSE HI shifted outwards and collided with TINY TAPPER resulting in both runners to be severely checked.  In the front straight RUN RIVA RUN and ROSDUE JITTERBUG collided resulting in both runners to be hampered.  Over the concluding stages COLLIE ROSE HI and FROSTY FOX bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

MACFARLANE and HARA’S HOPE were slow to begin.  At the start DUSTY’S DESTINY was tightened for room and checked.  Entering the 1st turn VALERIE MERLE was tightened for room and hampered.  Entering the back straight VALERIE MERLE checked outwards across the heels of HAY YOU STAR and collided with ROSDUE AVALON resulting in VALERIE MERLE and ROSDUE AVALON to be severely checked.  Entering the turn out of the back straight HARA’S HOPE improved onto the heels of GALWAY BLUEBIRD resulting in both runners to be severely checked.  HAY YOU STAR which was trailing was severely checked as a result.

 

The greyhound HAY YOU STAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound GALWAY BLUEBIRD underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start GALWAY EAGLE, DUDE PERFECT, AVENUE HERO and NAVAJO WARRIOR were all tightened for room and checked.  Through the 1st turn DUDE PERFECT was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards.  AVENUE HERO and NAVAJO WARRIOR which were trailing were checked as a consequence.  Shortly after BIG TURLS was tightened for room and checked.  SPRING DOLLY which was racing to its outside was hampered as a result.  Rounding the turn into the back straight FONIC THUNDER was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards.  DUDE PERFECT which was trailing was hampered as a result.

Even start.  Shortly after the start SNOZZSTA and FROSTY BROWN were tightened for room and hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight STING ‘EM WASP commenced to give ground and took no further competitive part in the event.  Entering the turn out of the back straight ROCKABILLY OSTI was tightened for room and checked.  FROSTY BROWN, SPRING DOTTIE and ONE IN SIX which was trailing which were trailing were hampered as a result.

 

The greyhound STING ‘EM WASP underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 12 weeks.

 

The greyhound NINA ROSE HI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip support and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

Even start.  Approaching the 1st turn HARA’S BLAZE, VELOCITY EBONY, MAYWYN WILL WIN and MADAM MEDUSA were tightened for room and checked.  Rounding the turn into the back straight OUR MANDALAI and FLYING PRINCESS were tightened for room and checked.  Leaving the back straight into the turn FROSTY FLYER eased resulting in VELOCITY EBONY which was trailing to be hampered.  In the front straight FROSTY FLYER and HARA’S BLAZE bumped on a number of occasions resulting in both runners to be hampered.

 

The greyhound FROSTY FLYER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Attard that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 28 days all tracks

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M

Even start with the exception of MAYWYN’S COPY which was slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn SHAYLOR BART and PUNCH RIGHT OUT collided resulting in both runners to be checked.  BELLA LEE, CHEVALEIR NUIT and TIP TIP HOORAY which were trailing were all severely checked as a result.  Entering the turn out of the back straight SHAYLOR BART was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the front straight MAYWYN’S COPY checked out across the heels of SHAYLOR BART.

CAPTAIN’S KNOCK was marginally slow to begin.  At the start HARA’S SAMUEL was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after the start RAMBLIN’ ROSE was tightened for room and checked.  Rounding the turn into the back straight RAMBLIN’ ROSE was tightened for room and checked.  HARA’’S SAMUEL which was trailing was hampered as a result.  Through the turn into the front straight SPRIN AGUSTUS checked out across the heels of CAPTAIN’S KNOCK resulting in that runner to be momentarily hampered.

GJ WALSH & CO 5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M

Even start. At the start MY FIRST PATCH and SAMANTHA BENZ collided resulting in both runners to be hampered.  Approaching the 1st turn SHAYLOR ANDRE was tightened for room and checked.  Through the 1st turn YOU JANE and LEIGHT ROSE HI were tightened for room and checked.  SHAYLOR ANDRE and SAMANTHA BENZ which were trailing were hampered as a result.  Rounding the turn into the back straight LEIGHT ROSE HI was tightened for room and severely checked.  Entering the turn out of the back straight SHAYLOR ANDRE improved onto the heels of FARMOR WISDOM and was hampered as a result.  Over the concluding stages of the event FARMOR WISDOM was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  YOU JANE was wide in the front straight.

 

The greyhound FARMOR WISDOM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards questioned trainer Mr. S Scott with regards to the performance of FARMOR WISDOM. Mr. Scott stated that the greyhound races best when leading however, is an inconsistent starter. Mr. Scott further stated that after the greyhound missed the start it effected its overall finishing position.  He did not support the greyhound in today’s event.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 4 431M

BOGIE MIRACLE was best to begin.  HAPPY GLEN was marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn MAYWYN ACCOLADES collided with CHULU CHULULU resulting in that runner to be checked and shift outwards.  ZABDON CHEVY which was racing to its outside was hampered as a result.  Rounding the turn into the back straight TOO MANY BILLS was tightened for room and checked.  Entering the turn out of the back straight CHULU CHULULU was tightened for room and hampered.  SCAR’S BROTHER was wide in the back straight.

 

The greyhound CHULU CHULULU underwent a post-race veterinar examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The start of the event was delayed due to an interstate thoroughbred race.

 

Even start.  Through the 1st turn TRUE BLUE ICE, HER’S NOT HIS, FYRE GAL and MR. REALITY were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Rounding the turn into the back straight HER’S NOT HIS was tightened for room and checked.

 

The greyhound HER’S NOT HIS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 21 days.
