The greyhound SPLENDIFEROUS performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.32 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

ACTOIN INDOOR SPORTS TOOMBUL MAIDEN 431M

CAKES ALL ROUND was best to begin with GREYSYND FLASH was slow.  Shortly after the start GOOD GOLLY OLLY and RING HIM collided.  In the 1st turn GOOD GOLLY OLLY and RING HIM collided and were unbalanced.  Leaving the 1st turn GREYSYND FLASH checked off heels and lost ground.  Entering the top turn SIXTEEN WINX contacted the heels of MINNIE BLUE and was unbalanced.  In the home straight SIXTEEN WINX and MINNIE BLUE collided causing MINNIE BLUE to lose ground.

 

The greyhound GREYSYND FLASH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards inquired into the greyhound’s performance with trainer Mr. V. Osborn stating that the greyhound has considerable ability however, does not race well when behind the field.  Stewards advised Mr. Osborn the greyhound’s performance was bordering on unsatisfactory and they would monitor future performances.

DOLPHIN GOLFERS REDCKUFFE MAIDEN 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start GALWAY ALICE, MONLEE and FREE PRESS were tightened.  In the front straight GALWAY PANTHER was tightened and checked off heels.  In the 1st turn GALWAY PANTHER shifted out and raced wide.  Leaving the 1st turn FULL OF TRICKS checked off heels and was unbalanced.  Into the back straight BIRR and FULL OF TRICKS collided causing FULL OF TRICKS to lose ground.  GALWAY PANTHER that was following was inconvenienced.  In the top turn FREE PRESS, MONLEE and GALWAY PANTHER collided and were unbalanced.  In the home straight MONLEE and FULL OF TRICKS collided.

EAT FAT GET FIT PROGRAM NOVICE 431M

JUST LIKE YAZZA was best to begin while BLAZIN’ CRUSHER was slow.  In the 1st turn NOT MORE CENTS shifted in colliding heavily with CATCH ME KEITH and HAPPY MAIL and all 3 greyhounds became severely unbalanced.  CATCH ME KEITH and NO MORE CENTS lost considerable ground as a result of this incident.  Entering the back straight NO MORE CENTS tailed off and took no further part the event.

 

The greyhound CATCH ME KEITH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound NO MORE CENTS underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle, and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

MJR ELECTRICAL SOLUTIONS NOVICE 520M

SHAKEY SHOW was best to begin while MR. RALPH and SHE’S FOXY were slow.  In the 1st turn NOVEMBER FLYER, SWIFT BARB, HAVANA BLACK, HOME LUCK and THUNDER OF FIRE were all tight and became unbalanced.  As a result, SWIFT BARB fell and took no further part in the event.  SHE’S FOXY and HOME LUCK lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn THUDNER OF FIRE and MR. RALPH collided and lost ground.  Entering the top turn HOME LUCK was tightened and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SWIFT BARB underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip, and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

IPSWICH MUFFLER SHOP 5th GRADE 630M

MINNIE MARTINI was best to begin while PHANTOM HOUDINI was slow.  In the 1st turn PHANTOM HENRY, SHE’S INYA FACE, ALPHA CHAOS and CELS EXPRESS were tightened.  Entering the bottom turn SHE’S INYA FACE contacted the heels of PHANTOM HENRY and both greyhounds became unbalanced.  Entering the top turn SHE’S INYA FACE was checked.

 

The greyhound CELS EXPRESS underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near side shoulder, and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

TOOWOOMBA MOBILE FORKLIFT SERVICE 4/5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start MINNION DOLLAR was hampered.  Entering the 1st turn general tightening resulted in interference to all runners which were checked to varying degrees.  Leaving the 1st turn SHUNT MAN and SWEET KARMAR collided causing SWEET KARMAR to lose ground.  In the back straight KIA BE GOOD was checked and became unbalanced.

REMAX LEWIS-DATE TEAM 3/4th GRADE 431M

LIGHTNING WHITE was best to begin.  In the 1st turn general tightening resulted in interference to all runners with ZAFONIC FORCE, BUNDY BUCKS and STANKY LEG all losing ground.  Entering the back straight OUTBACK STORM checked off heels.  In the top turn ZAFONIC FORCE, BUNDY BUCKS and STANKY LEG were checked and lost ground.

MELBROS TILING SERVICES 5th GRADE 431M

CAKE IT ON, RUNYA DOWN and WHAT A MESS were best to begin.  Shortly after the start OUTBACK SUNSHINE, DOLLY’S WALLY, ONE DOLLAR and TIM AND NIEL were all tightened and became unbalanced.  In the 1st turn WHAT A MESS and RUNYA DOWN were checked causing RUNYA DOWN to lose ground.  Shortly after, TIM AND NIEL checked off heels causing DOLLY’S WALLY and ONE DOLLAR that were following to be inconvenienced.

 

The greyhound RUNYA DOWN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

DYNASTY SOLAR 5th GRADE 431M

Even start.  In the 1st turn BIG SHOW HAWKO and DOLLAR AND CENT were inconvenienced.  Shortly after, MAKE TODAY COUNT and ZHICHAO LEE were tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Over the concluding stages WILDASH NITRO and FARAHMAC collided and were unbalanced.

OSMAC APPRENTICESHIPS 5th GRADE 431M

LAZZA MANAZZA, ROAD CAM, ASICLAO and GOTCHA MONEY began well.  In the 1st turn ZOU BISOU BISOU, KAWATI SON and GOTCHA MONEY collided causing KAWATI SON and GOTCHA MONEY to lose ground.  ASICLAO was also inconvenienced.  In the back straight ZOU BISOU BISOU and COMPLETE CONTROL collided and were unbalanced.  Entering the top turn BIG DIPPA contacted the hindquarters of COMPLETE CONTROL and both greyhounds were checked.

 

The greyhound KAWATI SON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
