The greyhound MISTER STUBBORN performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 431m, in a

time of 26.08, and is cleared to race.

The greyhound DAVE THE RAVE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trail, over a distance of 431m, in a time

 of 25.80, and is cleared to race.

FARMOR SUSPENSE, VAQUERO and SPRING RITCHIE were all best to begin.  IVY’S BOUQUET was slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, FIRE STATION came into contact with the running rail and lost ground as a result.  Leaving the 1st turn, WIGGLE WABBLE shifted out across heels and collided into STORM POWER causing greyhounds to lose significant ground as a consequence.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, WIGGLE WABBLE shifted out, impeding STORM POWER as it did, causing STORM POWER to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound FIRE STATION underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL – 431M

WHITE OX and RAZZIAI RAIN were both best to begin.  REAL JAZZ was marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, REAL JAZZ and MIA’S KARMA raced tight and checked, causing both to lose considerable ground as a result.  Approaching the top turn, RAZZIAI RAIN checked off heels and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the home straight, REAL JAZZ shifted out checking into PHANTOM ROAD and RAZZIAI RAIN, causing those greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose significant ground as a consequence. 

 

The greyhound PHANTOM ROAD underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

SNOW GIRL was best to begin.  In the 1st turn, VELOCITY DELFINA, ZABDON VEYRON and SNOW GIRL raced tight and checked, resulting in ZABDON VEYRON to become unbalanced and to lose ground.  RIPPLE RYDER, which was trailing, collided into ZABDON VEYRON, causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground as a consequence.  Leaving the 1st turn, VELOCITY DELFINA checked off heels and lost ground.  At the top turn, RIPPLY RYDER was momentarily impeded and lost momentum.  WERINA LIGHTNING raced wide through the turn into the front straight, and for the remainder of the race thereafter.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE 5TH GRADE (1) – 431M

WHITE EAGLE was best to begin, MOOSE MAN was slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, LILY’S BEAN, CRACKERJACK RUBY and SPORTFAN raced tight, causing SPORTFAN to lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, SASSY OAKS was impeded and lost ground.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, LILY’S BEAN and CRACKERJACK RUBY raced tight and checked, causing CRACKERJACK RUBY to lose considerable ground as a consequence.  MOOSE MAN raced wide through the turn into the front straight. 

 

The greyhound SPORTFAN underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

WILLY TOULA and SMALL JEWEL were both best to begin, GOT THERE was slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, THUNDER OF FIRE and GIFTED ANGEL checked. Leaving the 1st turn, THUNDER OF FIRE and GIFTED ANGEL checked again, TOPAZ TAN which was trailing collided into GIFTED ANGEL, causing both greyhounds to lose substantial ground as a consequence and any competitive chance in the race thereafter. 

 

The greyhound GIFTED ANGEL underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS 5TH GRADE (2) – 431M

NOIRE CHERIE and DODGY ETHAN were both best to begin, BELL BURTON and HIGH CLASS BELLE were both marginally slow.  At the 1st turn, BLUEMENTRIT and IRONBAR RICKY were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  HAD BETTER DAZE, BELL BURTON and HIGH CLASS BELLE, which were trailing, collided into those greyhounds, with all being inconvenienced and losing ground to varying degrees, especially HAD BETTER DAZE which lost substantial ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight, BELL BURTON shifted out and checked into NOIRE CHERIE, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound HIGH CLASS BELLE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a split webbing injury and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

KIA BE GOOD was marginally slow to begin.  In the 1st turn, LA BAMBA and KIA BE GOOD raced tight and checked.  SNOWBALL OTTO raced wide through the turn into the back straight.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, SURFBOARD and LA BAMBA raced tight and checked, causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and to lose ground.

GJ WALSH & CO 5TH GRADE FINAL – 520M

STRUDEL was best to begin.  Immediately after the start, MY GLORIOUS GAL and LAGOON LUCKY bumped, causing LAGOON LUCKY to check into INFRARED LASS, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  LAGOON LUCKY raced wide into the 1st turn, which impeded INFRARED LASS, causing that greyhound to race wide also.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, INFRARED LASS checked off heels and lost ground.

BARNEY BE GOOD was best to begin, MADRE was marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, MADRE and PARIS QUEEN bumped, causing PARIS QUEEN to become unbalanced and to lose ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, SPRING COLLEEN and FANTASIA LEE raced tight and checked, losing ground as a result.  BINALONG ROAD raced wide through the turn into the front straight and for the remainder of the race thereafter.  PARIS QUEEN finished a considerable distance behind the rest of the field.

 

The greyhound PARIS QUEEN underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the stomach muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days

SKY RACING 5TH GRADE (4) – 431M

SMOKEY WISHES was best to begin, AILLA and AFRA SHOW OFF were both marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, AILLA was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn, SPRING RUBY was momentarily impeded and lost momentum.  BLACK KOALA was impeded and shifted out just prior to the finish.
