RACE REPORTS

 

1.

Even start.  In the 1st turn, DRIVES ME CRAZY, LADYLIKE GRACE and STOP THE IMAGE raced tight, causing STOP THE IMAGE and LADYLIKE GRACE to lose ground.  Entering the back straight, ROSDUE GYPSY, DRIVES ME CRAZY and SHEZ NIKITA collided, causing ROSDUE GYPSY to lose ground.  In the top turn, STOP THE IMAGE and DRIVES ME CRAZY bumped, causing STOP THE IMAGE to lose ground.  Entering the front straight, ROSDUE GYPSY and LADYLIKE GRACE collided on numerous occasions, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the front straight, STOP THE IMAGE shifted out, turned its head outwards.

 

The greyhound STOP THE IMAGE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the chest muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mrs P Carrrington, the greyhound STOP THE IMAGE would be charged under Rule 69(b) Failing to Pursue with Injury, and would be stood down for a period of 10 days and greyhound to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, 431m all tracks.

SKY RACING MAIDEN – 431M

FROSTY BLACK JAY was best to begin, with BLUE JAY JAY slow.  In the 1st turn, WIGGLE WABBLE, SUGAR BOY and EL BAZZA collided, causing EL BAZZA, and SUGAR BOY to be hampered, and WIGGLE WABBLE to lose ground.  Entering the back straight, SUGAR BOY and EL BAZZA raced tight, causing SUGAR BOY to lose ground.   In the back straight, SUGAR BOY clipped heels and lost ground.

MULGOWIE YOWIE and SIN CITY KITTY were best to begin.  In the 1st turn, CRYSTAL BLAST and MULGOWIE YOWIE bumped.  Entering the back straight, CLICK COWAN, MASTER BULLET and MY BOUQUET collided, causing all greyhounds to be hampered.  In the back straight, SIN CITY KITTY shifted out colliding with GRAY GREY GOOSE, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Leaving the top turn, LONG ROAD HOME and CRYSTAL BLAST bumped, causing CRYSTAL BLAST to lose ground. In the front straight, CRYSTAL BLAST and MULGOWIE

HONEY’S PRINCESS was best to begin, with GALWAY ALICE slow.  In the 1st turn all greyhounds, except GALWAY ALICE, raced tight, causing all greyhounds to lose ground at differing degrees.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, NITRO NIC and HONEY’S PRINCESS collided, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the top turn, BROKEN YOKE and BONDI GIRL collided, causing BONDI GIRL to be hampered and BROKEN YOKE to lose ground.

 

The greyhound NITRO NIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE MA5 – 431M

Even start. Entering the 1st turn, KAAN PAKMAK and HOLLY KNOCKS bumped.  Rounding the turn of the back straight, KAAN PAKMAK and SWARAVSKI bumped.  Entering the back straight, SHAYLOR BART clipped heels and was hampered. Entering the front straight, GUY FAWKES, BARNEY’S BOUNTY and HOLLY KNOCKS raced tight.

Even start.  Shortly after the start, HESA REBEL, FIRE TO RAIN, PRATER’S SAINT and BINTANG LAURIE raced tight, causing all greyhounds to be hampered.  In the 1st turn, PRATER’S SAINT shifted out and collided with AUSSIE DIAMOND, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the back straight, SWIFT NIMROD clipped the heels of BINTANG LAURIE, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Approaching the top turn, PRATER’S SAINT clipped heels and lost ground.

TRUCK PARTS EXPRESS 5TH GRADE FINAL – 431M

HARA’S FLAME was best to begin, with SMOKEY WISHES marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, AILLA shifted out colliding with DODGY ETHAN and BINALONG ROAD, causing DODGY ETHAN and BINALONG ROAD to lose significant ground.

Even start, with MONOCEROS marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, PYRO BOB and CAPTAIN’S KNOCK bumped.  In the back straight, MAYWYN REWARDS raced wide.  In the top turn, MONOCEROS was tightened for racing room and lost ground.

HONEY HORNET was best to begin, SHAYLOR LES marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, HARA’S REBEL, WILDASH CECIL and ELLA GRACIA all raced tight, causing all greyhounds to lose ground.  Leaving the top turn, HARA’S REBEL, WILDASH CECIL and ROAD SCHOLAR raced tight, causing HARA’S REBEL to lose ground.

Even start, with MADRE and CIANNA’S ANGEL marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, DOUBLE OAK, MADAM LOOPSY and WILDASH HAWKO collided, causing WILDASH LOOPSY and WILDASH HAWKO to lose ground.  Entering the back straight, KYELLA and WILDASH HAWKO collided, causing WILDASH HAWKO to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the home straight MADAM LOOPSY was checked causing MADAM LOOPSY to lose ground and give no further competitive part in the race.  In the front straight, KYELLA clipped heels and shifted out and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound MADAM LOOPSY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hock and was humanely euthanised.
