RACE REPORTS

 

1.

DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES MAIDEN – 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start, BOGAN WARRIOR and GRU bumped.  Approaching the 1st turn, BANJO TOMMY shifted out colliding with BOGAN WARRIOR and SUPER CETTE, causing all greyhounds to lose ground.  In the 1st turn, BANJO TOMMY and SUPER CETTE collided, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, BIG MAN RUSTY and SUPER CETTE collided, causing BIG MAN RUSTY to lose ground.  In the front straight, BIG MAN RUSTY and SUPER CETTE collided, causing BIG MAN RUSTY to lose ground.

 

The greyhound BIG MAN RUSTY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES NOVICE – 520M

Even start, with GALWAY PANTHER and HONEY BE GOOD marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, HONEY BE GOOD and MIA’S KARMAR bumped.  Approaching the 1st turn, HONEY BE GOOD shifted out, colliding with MIA’S KARMAR and GALWAY PANTHER, with both GALWAY PANTHER AND MIA’S KARMAR losing ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, JACKSON STORM turned its head inwards but didn’t make muzzle contact, resulting in MIA’S KARMAR to be checked and to lose ground.

 

The greyhound JACKSON STORM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Stewards’ advised trainer, Mr A Dargusch, the greyhound JACKSON STORM would be charged under Rule 69 (b) Failing to Pursue with Injury, and would be stood down for a period of 10 days and greyhound must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, 520m all tracks.

MNL WATERPROOFING 5TH GRADE – 431M

 

Even start with BROTHER TREVOR marginally slow. In the 1st turn LA BELLA MIMI, FARMOR IN TUNE, GOOD GOLLY OLLY and BROTHER TREVOR collided causing GOOD GOLLY OLLY and BROTHER TREVOR to lose ground. In the top turn LA BELLA MIMI, GOOD GOLLY OLLY and BROTHER TREVOR collided causing all greyhounds to lose ground. In the front straight GITCHA HUMMIN and SECRETIVE INTENT bumped and hampered

 

The greyhound GOOD GOLLY OLLY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound ANOTHER RED underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

Even start.  Approaching the 1st turn, NEVER A DOUBT and NIGHT TIME LOVER raced tight.  In the 1st turn, FARMOR AT LAST and HOOP DREAMS collided, causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, NEVER A DOUBT clipped heels and was hampered.  Entering the front straight, BLOZA clipped heels and lost ground.

SCOTT PARLETT BEST 8 – 431M

CHULU CHULULU was best to begin, with BLUEMENTRIT marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, PRINCESS EMALYS, AIM, INNER WISDOM, JOHN SAID THIS, SWIPE RIGHT and BLUEMENTRIT collided, causing BLEMENTRIT, ACE GAMBLER, INNER WISDOM and JOHN SAID THIS to lose ground.  In the back straight, BLUMENTRIT raced wide.  Leaving the top turn, AIM shifted out, colliding with BLUEMENTRIT causing both greyhounds run wide and lose ground.

BELLA CETTE was best to begin, with SUPER CESC marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, REACTOR and WERINA LIGHTNING bumped, causing WERINA LIGHTNING to lose ground.  Approaching the 1st turn, NO MORE CAKE, REACTOR, WHINGING WILKO and ALLPA MAMA collided.  In the 1st turn, WHINGING WILKO and ALLPA MAMA bumped, causing ALLPA MAMA to lose ground.  In the back straight, WERINA LIGHTNING raced wide.  In the front straight, WERINA LIGHTNING raced wide.

Even start, with MY GLORIOUS GAL coming up with the lids, and APOLLO’S WARRIOR marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, PROPER GENT got onto the hindquarters of SMALL JEWEL, causing RULE THE ROAD, KIA BE GOOD and GET MESSI to be checked, with all greyhounds losing ground at differing degrees.  At the same time, APOLLO’S WARRIOR and TURN AND BURN collided, causing both greyhounds to run wide and lose ground.

IPSWICH SHOW SOCIETY CUP OPEN FINAL – 520M

Even start, with SPLENDIFEROUS marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, DON’T KNOCKA TOM was tightened for racing room and hit the running rail and was hampered as a result.  ALOTA AMY and VELOCITY ONYX were checked and both greyhounds lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn, DON’T KNOCKA TOM and ALOTA AMY bumped, causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  In the back straight, SPLENDIFEROUS clipped the heels of ICONIC BEACH causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the home straight, ICONIC BEACH and SPLENDIFEROUS collided, as a result THAT HOUDINI was checked and all greyhounds lost ground.  Entering the front straight, VELOCITY ONYX and ALOTA AMY bumped.

 

The greyhound ICONIC BEACH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound DON’T KNOCKA TOM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GIFTED ANGEL was best to begin with MR RALPH was marginally slow. in the top turn SLICE OF CAKE and GIFTED ANGEL collided causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Rounding the turn into the home straight MR RALPH and LIGHTINING LARICO collided causing both greyhounds to be hampered.

 

The greyhound NAMROD underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

JUST LIKE YAZZA was best to begin, with FROSTY AJAY marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, MAMMA’S BOY and MULROONEY bumped.  Leaving the 1st turn, CLASSY SPRITE clipped heels, shifted out causing MULROONEY, MAMMA’S BOY and FROSTY AJAY to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, LAZZA MANAZZA, SASSY OAKS and LITTLE DOTTIE TOO collided, causing both greyhounds to be hampered.  At the same time, MULROONEY and FROSTY AJAY collided, causing both greyhounds to run wide and lose significant ground.
