GREYHOUND SERIES JULY 12 MAIDEN – 520M Even
start. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY was tightened for racing room, shifted out
and raced wide. LADYLIKE GRACE and
FIREFLY LAFFEY, which were both trailing, were checked as a consequence and
lost ground. Approaching the turn into
the back straight, LADYLIKE GRACE and FIREFLY LAFFEY collided on a number of
occasions, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked, FIREFLY LAFFEY fell as
result of this incident and took no further competitive part in the
race. The
greyhound FIREFLY LAFFEY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

start. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight, MIA’S KARMAR, HERE TO THERE, DORIE’S PICK, NOT TOO BOSSY and
ROSDUE GYPSY all raced tight, sustained interference and lost ground as a
consequence. The greyhound

(1) – 431M The start was delayed when WILLY TOULA
proved difficult to box. The greyhound
will be declared hard-to-box in its future starts. Even

for racing room and checked to varying degrees. |

STATE ORIGIN JULY 12 MIXED 3/4 – 431M Even start, with the exception of LARRIKAN LASS, which was marginally
slow to begin. Shortly after the
start, NASH TATO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the 1st turn,
FREE SPIRIT and PRATER’S RECRUIT collide.
At the same time, LARRIKAN LASS and HOOP DREAMS collide. Approaching the turn into the back
straight, DUSTY’S CHANCE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. The greyhound FREE SPIRIT underwent a post race veterinary examination
and was found to have sustained a lacerated tail injury and was stood down
for a period of 10 days. The greyhound DUSTY’S CHANCE underwent a post race veterinary
examination and was found to have sustained a back muscle strain and was
stood down for a period of 10 days. |

with the exception of STEALTH KARMAR which was marginally slow to begin. Rounding the turn into the front straight on
the 1st occasion, PRATER’S ACE shifted out and checked the running
of BRITTANY TALKS, resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. THUNDER OF FIRE, which was trailing, was
checked as a consequence and lost ground.

the running of BRITTANY TALKS. |

start. Entering the front straight on
the 1st occasion, ROCKY SPIES checked across heels and collided
heavily with SAY GOOD DAY, resulting in both greyhounds to be severely
checked and to lose ground. Rounding
the turn out of the front straight, ROCKY SPIES checked across heels and lost
ground. The greyhound
ROCKY SPIES underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

front straight on the 1st occasion, INFRARED LAD and DRAGON SPIN
were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Into the front straight on the 1st
occasion, INFRARED LAD shifted out, which hampered the running of DRAGON
SPIN. The greyhound
DRAGON SPIN underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The greyhound SWEET ELLA ROSE underwent a post race veterinary
examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore
webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

with the exception of REGAL WAZ which was slow to begin. Through the 1st turn, BIG BAD
BOB was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight,
CAWBOURNE BIGRED was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight,
COSMIC ELITE sustained and injury and gave ground quickly and took no further
competitive part in the race. Entering
the front straight, SHOW BEKIM and SNOWBALL CREED collide. The greyhound
COSMIC ELITE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to
have sustained an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised. |
